I've done some googling and all it does is use Google LLC's IP adress or something. When you use google DNS it can be sometimes faster than the DNS used by your wifi service.

for those who are wondering, this problem is NOT your wifi. the roblox servers have been disconnecting entire servers at random, in an average time of 20 minutes roblox will try to disconnect everyone in a server.
@@zxen52 no, at least not that i know of. its gone away for me but a different variation has also gone onto me where roblox would at random just give me an infinite lag spike, not even an error message if i wait enough.

It will disconnect you as well but when the message pops up, I press leave and continue to join the lowest server possible and if I still keep getting disconnected I basically repeat joining the lowest server possible.

@@KJB09PRO late comment but it has nothing to do with WIFI or connection speed. i have 700mb/s internet and its connect to a strong enough router with ethernet cable that also supports those speeds and it still randomly freezes time for me.
