    The effort, time and level of customisation required to make a commercial off the shelf product work to address your issue 😮….although selfishly I do like watching you problem solve, the fabrication and the humour that comes with it.. and hopefully a good outcome 🌱🌱🌱 🚜

    Mr. Morris, Sir, great job, great brain, great pair of hands! Very inventive. You are a natural problem solver. As a 'townie' (apols) my respect for farmers has increased enormously :- ). Both my parents were from small farming stock so I'm used to seeing people 'get stuck-in' and sort it out yourself. Positivity comes in cans! Yes, I can . . .

    We fitted an APV air seeder to our Rakeman. Fantastic job. We connected the control panel to the 9-pin socket inside the cab and the speed of the tractor controls the seed sowing rate which is a bonus on hilly or uneven ground and when you lift the arms, the seeder stops sowing.

    Looks like it would work better on the front of the tractor so the seed won't overshoot the harrow.

    • @IFarmWeFarm
      @IFarmWeFarm  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes that would help solve that problem but wind would still be an issue, also I’ve heard people saying that the front fan could stuck in the seed to the front grill if not mounted down low.

    I've got an opico 5 metre Harrow with seeder and the spread plates are mounted in front of all the tines. I have good results with it and run it for overseeding and reseeding on ploughed ground. I just run the tines more aggressive for overseeding and get a better seed contact with soil, then for ploughed land I'll angle the tines back and lower the wheels down to lift the whole machine up so it's just lightly harrowing the soil. I get good results from running it like that.
    The way some people do things might not suit other people but I'm sure you'll find out what works best for yourself and you've definitely made a good choice in buying an air seeder.

I think that I would almost always end up in the 'needs help' category, though... 😄 And I have also noticed the higher up the ladder I am, the worse my affliction, and then add in trying to find where the darn piece bounced when it hit the ground... Deep breaths and many comments on the state of life as I do another 'ladder lap'!

      Stick is great for beginners and way more versatile in wet dirty environments. Definitely get an inverted stick welder as it’s small and light - about 150-180amps.

      You can do that but when the seed falls down at the minute it’s getting the full 3 tines run over it so all is well covered. If it was at the very back I’d turn it forward so the times get to it. You only want to just about cover the seed
