Hi Jeff! This is so helpful and I think the main problem I have it tongue tension connected to larynx. My question is - I am getting a tiny movement in my larynx when doing this exercise? Is it possible to have zero movement or do you just mean you don't want a conspicuous bobbing happening? Thank you!
Thank you for this video! So often singing teachers just say something like "keep your larynx neutral!" And never explain why or how!! Finally, a good explanation for why the larynx positions matters and actual exercises for learning to control it. Sadly I can't do this now because I really need to rest my voice, but I gave this a like and saved it to a playlist 😊
This is PERFECT! Thank you so much for your classes, Jeff. I start my rehearsals with you everyday! Can't wait for the day I'll have a private class with you hahah congratulations! amazing job!! :)

Hi Jeff... I'm really struggling with tongue tension, and this helps me understand what not to do, do you have any other suggestions of what to do, alternatively? The vowel sounds are not articulate when I try to take my tongue out of it. I think I tend to push my tongue down to create more space in my throat when I sing - is there a remedy for that without sounding... Like my whole face and jaw are paralyzed, for lack of better phrasing? Also, is the supposed to be any movement at the tongue and larynx...? Or just no bigger movements? Thank you, Lilly
Hello Elizabeth! Awesome question! I'm going to talk about it here: th-cam.com/video/_eyFpzLMQWk/w-d-xo.html If you can't watch in real time TH-cam will post it as a video after it is over. Best! Jeff
It is based on where the secondo passaggio is (often called 'the break') and the general characteristics of your voice. Thanks for watching and writing in! Best, Jeff
Jeff i can do some of your alto warm ups , some of your baritone warm ups and some of the tenor warm ups but i dont know what voice type i am and which is best for me
This is a fantastic set of exercices to hear your real voice... Without jaw getting in the way...
Thank you Jeff! I am singing with the choir tonight for Christmas Eve ❤️ Great warmup
I had always done the mezzo range one but this one helps me a lot as well! Thank you :)

Hard to say. Try to notice where your secondo passaggio is and the requirements of the repertoire you're singing.
