I would just like to point out that instability is what allows you lean so quickly which is important for surf skating.
It reminds me of aircraft, where a high-wing plane is very stable but not as agile. That's why most fighter planes are low wing. The instability allows faster maneuvering.

I actually would really recommend surf skate as a point a to b commute board after you are more used to the movements. Because as you learn to pump better you get more efficient. But as a commuter I’d say instead of waterborne you would want a carver c7 or cx

Agree, bought one and still a year after im still afraid to go full speed on this board, I have the waterborne adapter on a drop trhough board and is a ton of fun tight af tho

Tyler, I've not read anything or seen any videos on adjusting (tightening) the bushings on your front truck and the Waterborne surf skate and rail adaptors to make your board ride a little more "normal", predictably, and less sketchy at least until you grown more accustomed to how it rides. Have you?
Penny and Waterborne (or any other surf skate company or experienced surf skaters): Any feedback on this?
Hi Sean, so I have personally not tightened my bushings on the front truck go my surf skate. The main thing that has helped me grow more accustomed to riding the surfskate is getting more comfortable turning my body more on the board (to pick up/generate speed). I try to push on it as least often as I can because I find this helps keep me feel more "grounded" and overall solid on the board when I ride it

How was it would you recommend it for a city commute to and from college or just the 32 penny skateboard?
I would not recommend the surfskate for commuting; instead I’d recommend either the 27-inch nickel or the 32-inch skateboard

Yoooo I’m hopeful for you! Ya know I found this surfskate brand new on Facebook Marketplace, and I’ve found a lot of other great boards either on Marketplace or on-sale on Penny’s website (like for Black Friday, etc.). I subscribe to deals too (via email) so those are definitely some options that might be able to help you in the future 🤙🏼

@@katiedemski2419 If it's Waterborne's main product, you should be able to remove it and mount the trucks directly, but depending on wheel clearance, you may need a riser plate.
