I’m going through the same thing right now. My spaniel was diagnosed with bowel cancer last summer and they gave him 2 weeks to live. He is still going strong, but this month is so stressful, as he couldn’t poop, so my dad took him to the vet and they took out some of the tumor that was blocked the poop, but it was still horrible for everyone. He is still really enjoying life and his walks though, so as long as he wants to go for a walk, we will do everything for him. I hope that Matilda will live her last months with people like you that she loves

My cat has had a heart murmer for over a year now, but a couple of months ago he had a bad moment where he was all wobbly and walking into walls. The vets said that there's a possibility he might also have cancer, but since he's 16/17 years old they don't want to put him through the stress of detecting it. Since he has a good quality of life, they told us that it's best to just continue making sure he's happy until the end. He still acts young and lively it's honestly adorable
Lot of axolotls enjoy hammocks and utilises some of the vertical space(komondo do reptile one that doesn't have metal rings so safe to be submerged) also there is live plants that do pretty well in low light and low temps annubias and java fern are some that do well. Its more axolotls love to squish plants by parking there bums on them 😂 or trying to dig them up, I have mine in planters to try and stop this lol can also never go wrong with hides they love them. My axolotls favourites are slate hides.Also some axolotls love a bubbler caught my axolotl medusa having little spa day yesterday on her bubble bar 😂
My axolotls had a substrate of large flat black pebbles. That looked cool. Also I found several realistic fake plants for them, and a large fish rock cave that they liked to both hide out in. They also had half of a broken clay plant pot as a hide and an air stone to give bubbles. Finally, I had a floating live plant that looked like giant duck weed... this did well and covered the water surface so I was able to leave the light on all the time for the live plant and it was still shady under it for the axolotls. I miss my axolotls, but I had to re home them when I emigrated. I live in a country that is far to hot to keep them now, so I got a ball python instead.

I’m so sorry you going though all that with Matilda. I can kinda relate as I recently found out my cat has CKD (chronic kidney disease). It sucks when your pets start getting old and have health problems. That’s part of life I guess. But I’m glad your trying to stay positive. Love seeing all your pets. You have like a small zoo!
Oh no, I'm so sorry about what's happening to Matilda! I feel you, we recently lost my family's first dog. One day she was running around and playing, then suddenly she coughed and breathed very heavily. We tried two antibiotics and they didn't work, then boom and she was gone. Apparently her heart was too big for her body (she was a chihuahua mix) and had started pushing on her lungs, so honestly there wasn't much we could've done. We've now gotten a new puppy since mom got so sad she could barely take it and we needed life back in the house. Everyone is doing much better now! Ironically enough my mom always wanted a big dog, and when we got Lelo the Chihuahua she was so sceptical. We had nothing to worry about, she became the biggest mama's girl ever! And now the new puppy Nella is also a small dog mix (yorkie, chihuahua and god knows what else) and on her way to becoming mom's spoilt princess too! That's truly the worst thing about owning pets: we will eventually lose them. I hope Matilda makes it for as long as possible, but know she lived well!
I absolutely LOVE that you have chickens and enjoy them a lot!! I, myself, have four chickens that I adore and spoil. I’ve wanted to get harnesses for my more adventurous girls so that I can take them out in the front yard to explore and eat weeds that they have long since decimated in the backyard. parrot diet is a very complicated subject, because there is little research done into the full nutritional needs of parrots, the best thing you can do for them is offer as much variety and diversity in their diet as possible! I encourage you to do lots of your own research to decide what is best for your birds. I choose not to feed pellets as the main part of my parrots diet and instead feed a whole food diet consisting of vegetables, and a huge range of seeds, legumes, grains and nuts in soaked or sprouted form. For example, today I fed mine - SPROUTED - - brocilli sprouts - VEGETABLES - - ginger - coriander - carrot - cabbage - bok choi - green bell pepper - green beans - DRY - - star anise - shredded coconut - flax seed/linseed - oats - chia seeds - caraway seeds - basil seeds - poppy seeds - cinnamon - SOAKED - - hulled millet - barley - rye berries - spelt - kamut - buckwheat - pumpkin seeds - hemp seed - brown rice - safflower seed - almond/walnut pieces - split red lentils - green lentils - peas - mung beans - chickpeas/garbanzo beans - yellow split peas - quinoa However, I understand that not every owner has the time or lifestyle to soak and rinse things every night. The only pellet brand i would recommend is TOPs parrot pellets, as they are the only brand i am aware of that are cold-pressed and have a variety of healthy, organic ingredients. These should only make up less than 50% of their full diet though, I recommend trying the TOPs all in one seed mix for sprouting, especially as cockatiels require a higher seed content in their diet compared to other birds, you could also try sprouting lentils, peas, mung beans, alfalfa or other seeds. Make sure to also provide lots of fresh vegetables. a diet of 30% TOPs pellets, 30% vegetables, 30% soaked/sprouted seeds, grains, legumes, (a few types of) beans and 10% treat food like fruit, nuts, more fatty seeds (sunflower, millet, safflower etc) reserved for training and foraging :) always do a quick google before feeding you cockatiels something new to check it is safe sorry for writing so much, i got carried away but i hope this helps! :D

With the frogs you said you don’t use the heat lamp often because you feel it’s too hot (if I understood correctly), do you have a dimming switch on it, or a dimming thermostat? Those could fix the problem by allowing the bulb to run at not full strength which is why in the reptile community they’re recommended for all heat sources!
Perhaps with Pip’s tank you could remove the little temple thing, and on the left side of the tank, you should put a medium grapevine root, or a medium grey stone. I think that would look nice and provide a textured area or a new hiding place for her Edit: or you can add a hollow log or a dragon stone
Try painting the back on the outside of your aquariums and vivariums with a couple layers of black acrylic paint, looks great, not toxic and easy to remove with a razor blade if you ever want to take it off

It’s so nice seeing a goldfish tank that isn’t completely empty. Recently I’ve been getting recommended a lot of videos of goldfish and they are in completely empty tanks. One has sand but that’s it and it’s just so depressing to see. Edit: for your turtle tank I think maybe some large stones or driftwood would look cool
How large is the goldfish tank? Are the sponge filters enough filtration? How often do you do water changes? Not criticising at all, I just wanna get a goldfish tank as well!
I have 2 filters, a sponge filter wouldn’t be enough for the only filtration, I also have a regular filter, the tank is 40 gallons, however my goldfish will need a bigger tank later, but since they’re all pretty small 40 gallons is good for now
If you rescape the turtle tank to have a rock basking spot like an island, it would look amazing and you can plant some mini Anubius or moss to the rock. It may take some water volume away so maybe make a platform to put the rocks half submerged half emerged.
Aquarium info , she has lots of axolotl’s and makes really cool takes for them and I know you are already aware of this Chanel but look at her videos for inspiration to make toothless’s tank better

It’s so nice seeing a goldfish tank that isn’t completely empty. Recently I’ve been getting recommended a lot of videos of goldfish and they are in completely empty tanks. One has sand but that’s it and it’s just so depressing to see.
Edit: for your turtle tank I think maybe some large stones or driftwood would look cool

How large is the goldfish tank? Are the sponge filters enough filtration? How often do you do water changes? Not criticising at all, I just wanna get a goldfish tank as well!
I have 2 filters, a sponge filter wouldn’t be enough for the only filtration, I also have a regular filter, the tank is 40 gallons, however my goldfish will need a bigger tank later, but since they’re all pretty small 40 gallons is good for now

If you rescape the turtle tank to have a rock basking spot like an island, it would look amazing and you can plant some mini Anubius or moss to the rock. It may take some water volume away so maybe make a platform to put the rocks half submerged half emerged.
