Been working on making Ky mean on block. This is the perfect thing to stir the pot with. I love how flexible the idea of cancelling this backdash while airborne is. I feel like it offers a lot more than just an overhead, especially with 2 bars, you can completely turn some situations around. The overhead cuts creative routing a bit.
glad I could help! as I understand it from talking about the tech with other players, its mostly a preference thing (going 6321). but I personaly had much better consistency doing it that way!
@@thefgcsensei4482 hi , i m a new player , as such i m having some issues doing this, i would like to ask u the exact and full input if possible. 44 +rc +slash (instantly after rc) for the first type(the one with half conversion) as for the second/full conversion, i m very confused. do tell me the imputs thanks.
@@Gado_xyz you pretty much got it down, 41(or 1+Dash Macro)+rc~S(slight delay to make sure Ky is airborne). using 1 instead of 4 makes its so RC cancel doesn't carry as much momentum (or it feels like it) as for the two combo examples shown here. the first one is: j.S>6hs>micro dash>5k>6hs>623hs>c.s>623hs (5k can connect of the ground and 623hs can be followed-up when the ennemy is in shock state) second one is : j.S>6hs>623hs>c.S>6hs>623HS (if you connect c.S in the corner as close to the ground as possible, the ennemy will bounce enabling an extra hit)
thank you so much for the down back tip. I cannot tell at all what Im doing wrong with with the faster plinking method and I didnt find anyone mention doing db, now I have a consistent way to do this even if it isnt optimal or as clean.
i think this is a good tool to think abt as opposed to tap dust rrc. this one is a little faster and a bit safer but you expend the meter before you know if it hits so it might backfire. that being said i dont know how reliably people WOULD block this so it might be a well worth risk. food for thought, mine as well as anyone elses
Having a lot of trouble actually inputting it, but essentially you're using the backdash to be airborne but the 6321 input prevents the brc from being a drift rc altogether. wish i could wrap my head around it while trying to execute it, though
I didnt't attempt it, you can frc a 623hs into an overhead on block but you will carry some momentum. You can't prc 623hs on whiff tho. you can do it via 214k, but the startup is somewhat of a giveaway and might not be as "instant"
Is it really an instant overhead or is it like tap dust speed? I’m not sure which is overall better, especially since this seems like it takes slightly more execution.
I think it should be around 6f of brc startup + 7f j.s startup + few extra frames from backdashing, its vague tho. Overall its better than uncharged dust because its faster, gives conversion and its safe because of brc slowdown, but it costs metter
@@raivin7172 yup pretty much all these. slowdown doesn't apply tho since you cancel the brc. not sure how frames changes but I seem to have much more succes vs uncharged dust.
What is the best way to practice this? I used to be able to do it when I was playing on my cross up, but ever since I messed up my wrist, I've been playing on keyboard waiting for my snackbox to come in, and I can't get it anymore.
with further experiment I noticed that its more consistent if you slightly delay the RC after backdash instead of "plinking" the 2 buttons. Its hard to explain in words, but once you get it a few times you'll catch the timing.

the overhead is just faster and safer than tap 5D. its also unexpectedly fast and can convert easily from pretty much everywhere
bro this has been so usefull! Ive been tryin this for 30 minutes and i couldnt until y tried the 6321 input.

I was literally looking this up a bit ago but didnt find any good videos. So glad this popped in my recommended
Finally getting around to labbing this. Tightly made vid, much obliged.

Nice to see someone finding out tech i discovered by mistake with Chaos lol
Nicee
Good stuff man, I’m subscribing. Keep up the good work ❤
Wow great find
Damn I didnt know about this I'm gonna try to make this work later
insane
Very useful, 10/10

yeah thats pretty much my concept. you can input it by holding 4+dash macro+ RC but its inconsistent on the delay.
ive been learning how to do this with testament. seems hard
Lol why does 63214 even work? I'm so surprised
Does this work with prc? As Ky, can you 236H into prc instant overhead?

@@raivin7172 So does tap dust. Unless you spend meter, you're getting punished on block. Both brc and tap dust require spending meter
@@AFancyDress yes, but BRC setup is still should be faster and uncharged dust still has yellow flash that makes it easier to react

oh I can't say for those,I play on pad. dash macro and RC macros definitely helps a ton here.
@thefgcsensei4482 Yeah, it's hard for me to use an rc macro on keyboard and it's just really cramped lmao

So you doing backdash 66fbrc?
you can do it that way, but I find it harder and had mixed results with other characters
Song name?
first track if from the GranBlue fantasy VS and is called "Path of Duty"
second track is from Trails of Cold Steel 2 OST and is called "Severe Blow"
This shits cheap. In a good way
