It wasn't the crowd, it was the mics. Unless they were really loud, it was hard to hear them, even they couldn't hear the that well, in the previous video from another conference from this same place, none of the could hear people in the crowd asking questions even when they had a mic.

But it's the same thing as when you hear special live versions of songs, the mics are tuned in to be the main focus and the surrounding noise is cancelled out to a level and with this being the professional recording, I'm sure that's what happened here.
Literally so many people in the audience sounded like celebrities. 12:38 the guy sounded like Andrew Garfield, 13:32 she sounded like Cher Lloyd... what the heck.
