Man, I missed Animated series so much. Everytime, I remember creators plans for season 4 and next seasons I got so sad. Predacons army. Shattered Glass episode. Episode where Bumblebee is a Prime, who jointed forces with Galvatron againts army of Predacons. Optimus Primal, who is the clone of Optimus Prime. Triplechanger Megatron. Resurected Starscream, who jointed forces with Autobots. So much potential, so much unique stories, that we will never see. At least we have 2 really good seasons and season 3 which is true masterpiece

I legit got that legacy united Optimus for that upgrade kit alone. also had me starting my Optimus collection. Now I got like 5 or 6 different of my favorites Optimus primes. From G1, beast wars, armada, animated, prime, bayformers, and the war for cybertron game. I also got the megatrons from each as well, with the exception of G1 as I'm waiting for that SS86 version. Damn, just when I had stopped collecting a decade ago. They come out with bangers of my favorites. I'm eating good as a TF fan in that aspect at least. 🤩💪
And that Hydro-Dive Armor of Bumblebee's sounds like something that they could give us. I mean my main TFA OC Thermocline came from a flooded Cybertronian planet that being Salinitron.
I like that DNA actually made this kit look like something Hasbro would make. Even going so far as to have the unsightly wheel pegs sticking out through the trailer wheels, lol. BTW, can the figure transform with the face guard left on? Also, "Let's roll!" he says as he flies away and definitely isn't rolling, lol. That movie was just too much XD
I don’t have the kit yet, but I double checked Optimus himself and there’s plenty of room around his head during the transformation. It should work fine.

Great review! I am absolutely ordering this! I will display him and an upgraded Animated Motormaster in their truck modes in a head-on collision to reenact that iconic G1 cartoon scene. I also got come gap-filling kits for Animated Prime and Motormaster that should not interfere with the DNA kits.
0:30 DK-49 upgrade kit review when? Speaking of which, DNA Design have just released DK-46DX, which is a re-release of the upgrade kits for SS 101 Scourge that were found in the DK-46 and DK-49 upgrade kits minus the articulated claw and mind control device from DK-46.
I never cared for Animated but I am liking the Legacy figures. I'm glad I ordered this set. Now I kind of want DNA designs go retro and see if THEY can do their take and do a modern update to Fansproject old City Commader set for the Classics Ultra Magnus.
I think Hasbro will eventually give us an official upgrade pack for this OP. The holes in the forearms and shoulders, the weird set up where you can bend the knees back to balance the weight the could-be jetwing that goes on OP's back. I don't know how but it will come to us.

FINALLY! I was wondering when we'd be able to see this! I seriously can't wait for my copy of this upgrade kit. And I've got a theory for the next Megatron figure we can get. The only person that Optimus was meant to use his Powermaster Armor was against none other than TFA Megatron after receiving his Marauder form that he was meant to get in Season 4 of Transformers: Animated. I am 99.999999999999% sure Marauder Megatron is going to come to us in the Age of the Primes line so that he can go against this guy!

This was the second upgrade kit I've ever bought and I'm genuinely impressed. The colour matching is great and it really fills out the truck mode.

Finally received mine the other day and it turn a good figure into a great figure. The trailer in fire engine mode looks perfect.
I really want this one of the most disappointing thing of the figure is that it doesn't have his mouth guard. Im glad this upgrade kit added one 😅
