Hey bro I been watching your videos since 2019, man you're killing it. Can't wait for you to reach 100k subscribers. At top of that your channel also keeping us entertained during this bs quarantine. Be safe bro 🙏💯
Matt, I gotta ask...was that guy's stuff listed as a "yard sale" or a "look at all this stuff I own and intend to keep"?? Lol. I see a lot of the comments are 50/50 on this one. Yes, I would personally be offended if someone listed their USED items at retail/more than retail prices. If people are valuing their items that high, they're not ready to sell them. Which is fine, because they can always list it themselves on eBay for top dollar and wait. No harm, no foul. But advertising a garage sale where people take their time and gas to come to only to find everything there (which wasn't even much) is considerably overpriced...yes, that's insulting.
Point being, if someone wants to list the absolute top dollar on something, they should list that first in their advertising before having people physically show up. Or at least advertise that most items there are "top price/valuable" items. It's a common courtesy typical of what the average person considers a "yard sale". Just my worthless 2 cents.
Matt, you got some really great stuff. The jeans were a cheap steal! It was exciting to watch you buy The whole bunch. The guy who had high prices, in my mind I’m thinking yeah good luck with selling anything.
I think I saw Nancy Drew books on the top shelf at that one garage sale and there was a rain lamp next to where you picked up the baseballs. wow that one lady made you a deal on your pile after she already made you a deal on the items.
not everyone is picking through a garage sale to resell the items. A tool like a bench vise even if it's 50 years old, works just the same as if new, so a 30 - 50% savings over a new one is still a deal.
Honestly buddy...I think you are doing a great job! I myself have had tremendous luck at garage sales in the past. Now with this covid crap going on and money is tight... You have renewed my want to not some garage sales and pick up where I used to be. Just recently, I picked up a dyson vacuum for 10.00 just to clean it up, inspect it, and test and turn around the next day and sell it for $120.00 on Facebook marketplace. I just wish I could have an eBay account again... My ex screwed it up for me. You are doing a big favor for the people just getting rid of their junk and passing good deals onto others! Thanks for the video and keep doing what you are doing!!!!

Could have put the deals at this sale was so sweet I almost bought everything they had.I mean heck $5 for the old cars,$2 for a bucket of baseballs,$1 each on the old race tracks amazing deals there. Also I think the other guy was starting high on prices to get some negotiations going tbh.I am sure you could have gotten the psp for like $75.00 and the Vices for $100-$150 range.
Hi Matt, been following your channel and others from here in the UK, don't really understand your heading today "Prices were Insulting" now as a reseller obviously profit is everything however on the whole you and many other resellers pick up very cheap (sometimes free) and sell at large profits, now ! a lot of the people you buy from can see your channel and the price you pay them and what you sell for would you think they might feel insulted when you negotiate them down.
@ronnie d, my husband is in that group. I resell. I watch resellers. He is just unsure about the prices people make on their stuff. I see, there is a market for it. Resellers are giving people what they want. People who buy things off eBay at high prices must realized they would have to go to hundreds of yard sales to find the item they are buying. So we save them that time and energy.
Actually no. I would have snatched both up for 200 and hauled butt to the truck. Id offered 150 first tho. But one on the left could sell for 300 the same day maybe more than that

Anytime I sell anything, I know what I paid into it, what it was listed for, and what it sold for. ALL of that factors in to my asking price. So when I list or put something for ‘’x’’ amount of dollars ... I’m not budging. And for everyone that’s says ‘’ oh well good luck’’ etc etc... I always remember I can pack all of it up and not sell anything and it won’t matter to me at the end of the day. I’m the type that I would rather keep it all before get ripped off and lose money. I had a CD that was worth $120. It sold for $100-120 multiple times on eBay and a guy came to my house and said I could do like $30 😂. I straight up told him, ‘’ I’ll burn this CD in the yard before I give it to you for $30.and make absolutely nothing on it and lose what I paid for it myself. I love "Is there anything here I can afford?" (Paraphrasing.) LOL
You know you guys can just pass on items that are not going to make you big profits, instead of being smart asses, after all you are guests at these garage sales. It is not your property. I'm a picker and the only reason you guys disrespect others is because you found good stuff but cant pay peanuts for them. Just pass or else it brings the ugly greedy part of you out
@@DeanCorso321 it's a joke, chill
Lol!!!! I thought u were talking to the lady in the blue until she completely turned away🤣🤣
He had them Home Depot prices 😂
I love your updates at the end during replay. Very cool. In my opinion, it really adds to the overall value of the video.
At 5:20 "these two things" that bull nose Wilton vise on the left is bringing $400-$500
I couldn't have gotten my wallet out fast enough.
Yeah 200 is a fair price.
Seems like all his stuff was primo stuff..
@@nonyobussiness3440 then you got scrubs like this guy coming in trying to take him and buy as cheap as possible
@@nonyobussiness3440 liked the comment cause i thought it was a joke but not sure now/ its a garage sale(unspoken rule max $20) and fuck me for $20 it better be a nice new dirtbike or something
Bro like a $1000 !!!! lol, this dude doesn’t know shit
Modestoan here. I just discovered your channel and now see that you were ahead of me at these sales (explains why nothing good was left). How do you go about finding sales online here? They seem to be notoriously bad about posting around here.
What's wrong with that guy's prices everything that he buys goes on EBay and jacks the price up for ebay. mean if I saw him coming my prices would go up
Yeah greedy with the jeans as well ,well worth 5 bucks each.
@@thelyingscotsman7993 yeah then put them on eBay for 20-40 each 😭
eBay = work tho. Listing , packing, shipping , returns, etc. Nobody says nothing when they go to Walmart & buy a bag of chips for $2.50 & that Walmart spent a quarter on🤔
@@X1.7 yeah what about that single parent that doesn't have a lot of money that hits Yard sales to support the family
@@doncaswell1846 "gotta be the first one there"
Great video! Really like the way you showed the sales at the end👍
Just gotta say the garage sales in your area are insane! Wish the ones around here were half as good!! 5:18 - the vise on the left looks like a 4"Wilton bullet with stationary base, check comps because even at $100 there is plenty of $$ to be made! 9:55 that white wall thermometer on the left side of the table might be $$ if actually vintage, 10:20 the oil rain lamp behind the bucket of baseballs is $$
Yup. Oil rain lamp $150 to $200 if in working order. $40+ for parts if broken.
Wow that one guys prices were ridiculous.. we were in a thrift store in a small town in north Georgia last week and all the prices were retail. Even if parts were missing.
I bet that one guy didn’t sell one thing that day! Your right overpriced!
There’s no way. You’re looking to sell to high end collectors on EVERYTHING that can get them waaaayyyy cheaper on eBay. Craziness
Hey bro I been watching your videos since 2019, man you're killing it. Can't wait for you to reach 100k subscribers. At top of that your channel also keeping us entertained during this bs quarantine. Be safe bro 🙏💯
You made out like a bandit on those jeans, those were nice!
It's great that in the end of the video you show for how much you sold the items. Very unique. ''Like'' for that!
@10:25, the oil lamp. pretty valuable. bigger the better with the greenery, behind the baseballs.
Great pick ups Matt. I wonder if that guy sold anything at all? 😕..... 😃
I’m a little surprised you overlooked the set of Nancy Drew books (08:14). Sets seem to do ok on ebay and can ship media mail.
Props to ur respect towards others and their property. Great vids. Brings back memories.
Matt, you got some really great stuff. The jeans were a cheap steal! It was exciting to watch you buy The whole bunch.
The guy who had high prices, in my mind I’m thinking yeah good luck with selling anything.
The price he paid for the jeans was insulting
@@981516ortega The seller agreed to Matt’s price & wanted to get rid of her stock
I think I saw Nancy Drew books on the top shelf at that one garage sale and there was a rain lamp next to where you picked up the baseballs. wow that one lady made you a deal on your pile after she already made you a deal on the items.
Some folks really need a reality check when it comes to garage sale prices😃
Just because its a garage sale doesnt mean you gotta give stuff away.
not everyone is picking through a garage sale to resell the items.
If you are going to resell it for a high price, what's so crazy about someone asking that high price from you?
i like how you handle sellers. perfect amount of friendly not encouraging long conversations. i also like that you dont really name the objects you want prices on. i learned that one too .. how much is THAT THING gets a cheaper price every time . i think your specialties are slowing you down. you missed bigger prizes than you picked. also!! you met a vendor in purge mode and you didnt press the issue (what else are you looking to get rid of).... expand those niches. brother . you are passing up treasure .
Love the highlight reel with prices at the end of the video
Those pants are dope 😶
Love watching your videos. You have such a chill soothing voice. Happy picking!
Please don’t ever take my titles too seriously. They’re designed to get new people to watch the videos. And that’s about it
@ronnie d, my husband is in that group. I resell. I watch resellers. He is just unsure about the prices people make on their stuff. I see, there is a market for it. Resellers are giving people what they want. People who buy things off eBay at high prices must realized they would have to go to hundreds of yard sales to find the item they are buying. So we save them that time and energy.
That vise to the left is worth about 300 400 depending on a few things. Maybe more. 200 isn't far off and get a few vise
He knows how much everything cost retail & walks up like he has no idea so he can get it for cheap😳😆
Its cheaper to go to Walmart lol
Hey Modesto!!!! You're the second youtuber in 2 days I've seen in that area, crazy. My old hometown
That is my old hometown as well. On Rosemont.
Dang hos wallet is stuffed 😳 i got coins in mine that fall out when i sit down
Reminds me of our local Craigslist Antiques section claiming rare or vintage with an unrealistic price so it stays listed for years.
bruh, old people sometimes. They always overprice stuff or just don't want to sell it.
Yup lol I love when they say things are brand new and you can see dust mold rust lol 🤷♂️👓
Matt handled the old man very well. Very smooth.
I saw an older guy at a yard sale one time print out online comps and tape them to the items he was selling.
Melissa, Funny but helpful to resellers also
We leave those kind of "sales" pretty quick! No sense wasting time there.
I love how you put listings at the end of the video
Old dude will be holding onto his stuff forever at those prices, his kids will have to end up dealing with it.
Actually no. I would have snatched both up for 200 and hauled butt to the truck. Id offered 150 first tho. But one on the left could sell for 300 the same day maybe more than that
Wow! I rarely comment or read comments. Reading all the whiney negative nannies here reminded me why. My two cents are Mr. Picker, you do a fantastic job here (by far the best imho) and you seem to be a kind, honest, hardworking family man. Keep doing what you do and ignore these jealous trolls.
I laughed when you said "When I was a kid" you're still a kid.
Back when he was a kid in 2015
So glad I found you! You are my new favorite!!
You have no right to insult anyone's prices when you charge what you do on eBay!
Actually he has every right it’s his channel js 🤷♀️
Lol that was a time capsule right there! The green and black walkmen u found🤣🤣🤣I used to listen to Murphey Lee Nelly and Boosie original albulm cds when I was like 10! That was awsome seeing that in the video and super random lol!
That’s a slap in the face and I’m not dealing with all that ..
" I already have that, I just need this" classic line that I've used multiple times!
Why? Why even bother dragging all that crap out? I just don't understand how someone could think they are going to get top dollar at a garage sale.
Love the new recap style! Keep the videos coming!
I hated going to garage sales and they ask for retail prices.
That weird MCM oil lamp thing in front of the baseballs used to do really well... if it’s cheap and the pump works
They still do. At least $100
"His prices were insulting"
*Literally buys stuff for next to nothing and prices them the same*
literally lmao
There's a difference, figures that you can find for $15 and pricing 7 of them for $200 is ridiculous. That old man knows nothing about item worth
But he prices his stuff for the price they’re going for……not over pricing his items. Chill White Knight.
@@ya2060 so basically exactly what I said then👍
@Big Al right, that's exactly what I'd do.
Dude I noticed that cat Tower was free? Did I read that right? I would have snatched that real quick!!! 🤣
I wouldn't call it insulting, that was the value for him and I think it's fair game.
Right, what's the difference of going home and listing it all at those prices? Some one will buy that dudes stuff, maybe not a re seller but collectors and stuff
@@superblexx you don’t do that at a yard sale dude, people go to sales to get deals.
I used to live in SoCal and people had $20 for each piece of clothing, which was definitely not worth a garage ‘sale’ price. Kid’s toys were $10-25 dollars. It’s like dude, your stuff is used!!!
yet he could sell them online and get that much.
i love how this dude goes in there and is like a detective questioning them on the shit
I wonder what he was asking for the Stihl brushcutters. From the brief look I got some of them appear to be a high end model. That's the kind of thing I'm always on the lookout for but seldom find in my area.
Insulting to who? You? Someone who wants low prices so you can make money. Rofl
