Sorry, but after 6 Fitbits in 6 years, there is no way I can be convinced they deserve to be on a list of "best smart watches." They die very quickly with regular use/not being dropped. They are dressed up activity trackers and nothing more.
I agree!!! On my second versa 3 after it was replaced and am still facing too many issues to stay with Fitbit!!! So was looking at Garmin venu 2. Hoping it’s more stable and more accurate.
I’m just not sure I want to get any Fitbits anymore. After I had bad experiences with charge 2. Then bought charge 3. And after the second charge 3 just after about two years, it just not working anymore. of charge 2 in about 2 years too. in about 2 years. I’m not sure I want to get another one or even try a new one or not.

I upgraded from the Fossil Gen 5 to Galaxy Watch 3 and I recommend it. Much smoother operation. Better tracking. Better health app. Battery lasts me around 2 days compared to 20 hours with Wear OS. It will be interesting to see what the new Google-Samsung partnership releases.
Can you send and receive Instagram dms through the samsung galaxy watch? I currently have an apple watch and I wasn't sure if they would allow the same
@@aaliyahjohnson348 There is no official Instagram app but you can send/receive messages in the notifications that are linked to your phone. You get a choice to reply to messages using voice commands, a t9 keypad or selected quick replies.

I bought one and sold it after 2 weeks. After the fitbit i just wasn't happy with a 2 day battery life and it was uncomfortably thick for bedtime sleep monitoring.
@@martinthobeka7296 Not the best in the world but I don't mind it because I charge after work. If anything I'm sure its a 2 Day Battery with AOD on. With it off you can squeeze a little more. You wont get fitbit levels of battery. 2 days minimum. More with power efficent settings.

I have the Galaxy Watch 3 and a year later,I'm still in love with it. My only issue would be the battery life - Day and half with regular use, including sleep tracking and a day's use with 1h exercíse using it as a standalone unit (Spotify and BT speaker). The 4 is coming,but if they don't fix greatly the battery life,i won't even consider upgrading! Good video! Keep it up!

I haven’t had any other brand- but my Fitbit has a very powerful vibration!! I don’t actually highly recommend this brand for longevity because I have to replace my Fitbit every one to two years..

The latest in their line in active 2. So get the one thats gonna come out next cause they bring our newer models every 2- 3 years so you might be waiting a while
Can you do a video of life span on watches? I've been through 3, yes 3 Fitbit Iconics (no longer available as of December 2020). It dies DAYS after the 1 year warranty each year. I've had this same issue with fitbits period with me and my family. I don't swim or do anything crazy other than hike and hunt. 😓
It happened with me... 11 months after I get get my Fitbit Ionic it died 3 days after an update... Fitbit gave me another but the warranty left and if this one dies on December 2021?
Check out the Garmin Instinct. 2 week battery life, I wear it working on cars so so it gets banged around quite a bit. Has some cool hiking functions. Waterproof as well. Had it about a year and no complaints.
Fitbit is awful in terms of quality and this is the experience of everyone I know. It’s upsetting, honestly. It’s not environmentally friendly and hard to imagine it isn’t by design somehow...
If Apple could put solar in the watch or band somehow, that would solve all battery complaints. They wouldn't want to make it look bulky though like the first watch shown because most people won't wear a bulky watch on their wrist.
Solar or kinetic charging would be handy, or a flexible thin battery strap. I get 2-3 days battery life using my Apple watch (default screen is simple and also a lot faster than with heavy complications. I swipe for a different watch face at home, travelling etc and turned off the things I don't use (like the gesture controls). However, because I can rely on a charge getting me through a weekend, the next length of battery life that would be useful for me is 7-9 days and ideally 2 weeks. Unlimited battery life qould also be great as long as it's slim enough.
Not a complaint at all, but kind of surprised that TicWatch didn't make your list. It seems to be in the top 3 of most other reviewers on TH-cam. Honestly, since I have no dog in this fight, it was refreshing to see a deviation from the status quo

Mike you left out one very under rated smart watch The Oppo Watch, has every thing you need GPay, WiFi and all the rest NFC, Hey Google, Blue Tooth Calls, Reply to Messages you name it its got it, 8GB Storage, Translates AMAZINGLY and im totally loving it and its my daily driver, been using it for 4 months now & totally Love it, Battery also last me at least 3 days with AOD Off. Im very surprised i have not seen you review The Oppo Watch ? or if you did ive missed it. Im eagerly awaiting The Oppo Watch 2 and may i add its very very well built, Vuoc Charging is insane 0 to 100 % in 35 min and this is no joke. They say longer on the box but seriously my Vuoc charger is on steroids lol. To swap up i use my Huawei GT2 last's forever battery wise takes stats really well, just misses wifi, NFC payments and Hey Google, but takes Blue Tooth Calls. Galaxy watch if you use all the features is going to need charged in between each meal of the day. I'm looking for all the health trackers (and actually use them), plus some smartwatch features on top, with good battery. Haven't found the right one yet. On the other side, my wife also wants the health trackers and workout stuff, but appreciates feminine styling. She doesn't want to strap on a giant 46mm round behemoth. So haven't found a good option for her yet either.
I use the Fenix 6 sapphire. It's been fantastic so far. It's built like a tank too so it's held up well being banged up against machinery at work. I can't hear or feel my phone go off in my pocket so its nice to have it vibrate on my wrist. One charge lasts me about 8-10 days, depending on how complex your watch face is will depend how much data its showing all at once. I bought my sister the Venu 2s, it's the perfect size for her and she has a small build. The screen is beautiful. They both can tell days before you're about to get sick somehow, your stress stays higher than normal and your body battery doesn't recharge after sleeping as much. Next thing you know you have a cold.

Gear S3 Frontier is the best smartwatch I've ever seen. Particularly when you need a 'sportish' style of outfit. I still wear it with great pleasure. I only have Galaxy Watch 46 mm because it fit better in a bit more formal outfit and also has a better battery. But more the time I wear Frontier.

For me, Galaxy Watch3 (with a rubber band) is a great Smartwatch, but it's a little heavy on wrist for sports, uncomfortable on wrist and just only two days battery life... I like its six fields of information when I run with it, the anesthetics is great, payments on wrist (it works in Brazil).
I have fit bit versa 2 but I have to keep updating it so the time. Sometimes I put it on and think no one is texting etc until I realized it needs updating. Annoying

I see lots of and comments about Fitbit ...I experience the same I got a versa 2 but after 4 mos.doenst scroll anymore and requested for a replacement and then the replacement just died a week ago ,i am so sad because it was like 1 yr.and 6mos. for me and now i got a versa 3 i hope it will last long.I love the design of Fitbit watch so I stick on it ...

Galaxy watch if you use all the features is going to need charged in between each meal of the day.
I'm looking for all the health trackers (and actually use them), plus some smartwatch features on top, with good battery. Haven't found the right one yet.
On the other side, my wife also wants the health trackers and workout stuff, but appreciates feminine styling. She doesn't want to strap on a giant 46mm round behemoth. So haven't found a good option for her yet either.
I use the Fenix 6 sapphire. It's been fantastic so far. It's built like a tank too so it's held up well being banged up against machinery at work. I can't hear or feel my phone go off in my pocket so its nice to have it vibrate on my wrist. One charge lasts me about 8-10 days, depending on how complex your watch face is will depend how much data its showing all at once. I bought my sister the Venu 2s, it's the perfect size for her and she has a small build. The screen is beautiful. They both can tell days before you're about to get sick somehow, your stress stays higher than normal and your body battery doesn't recharge after sleeping as much. Next thing you know you have a cold.

Gear S3 Frontier is the best smartwatch I've ever seen. Particularly when you need a 'sportish' style of outfit. I still wear it with great pleasure. I only have Galaxy Watch 46 mm because it fit better in a bit more formal outfit and also has a better battery. But more the time I wear Frontier.
Hello from Brazil, O' Brien! Another great video! I like so much your work here! For me, Galaxy Watch3 (with a rubber band) is a great Smartwatch, but it's a little heavy on wrist for sports, uncomfortable on wrist and just only two days battery life... I like its six fields of information when I run with it, the anesthetics is great, payments on wrist (it works in Brazil).

I have fit bit versa 2 but I have to keep updating it so the time. Sometimes I put it on and think no one is texting etc until I realized it needs updating. Annoying
