It certainly is! I've got it working and am now using it as one of my main clocks! The neon bulb illuminates the display just enough to be readable at night, but not annoying or distracting whilst trying to sleep, so that's really good! Unlike some of the 7-segment LED clock radio displays, which light up half the room.
Hi, I know about electronics and am trying to repair my Sanyo RM5010, which basically its only problem is when I switch it to "Auto" to make it work with the alarm system, it just leaves the radio turned on, instead of just turning it on when the alarm starts. So, in order to do that, I need to disassemble it as you did. Could you issue a short video showing how to open the carcass correctly? Because I'm trying to pull it off but it's stuck, and I don't want to break the plastic case.
Do you know the diameter and watts of the speaker?
I'm not sure. It probably just accumulated through the speaker vent/grille from years of use and storage.
Yeah, but I guess it's accumulated from 30 or 40 years of use and storage...
