SPIC MACAY, IIT Gandhinagar Chapter presents Sarangi player, Ustad Murad Ali Khan.
Ustad Murad Ali Khan is the sixth-generation sarangi player from the Moradabad gharana. He has received intensive training from his grandfather Ustad Siddique Ahmad Khan and father Ustad Ghulam Sabir Khan. Murad Ali Khan has accompanied almost all great maestros of India like Pt. Ravi Shankar, Pt. Ajoy Chakrobarty, Pt. Rajan Sajan Mishra, Pt. Ulhas Kashalkar, Ustad Mashkoor Ali Khan, Padma Vibhushan Smt. Girja Devi Ji, Vidhushi Ashwini Bhide, Ustad Zakir Hussain, Pt. Anindo Chatterjee, Ustad Sabir Khan, Ustad Akram Khan to name a few. He has won the Sarangi Ratna Award, Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar, Sanskriti Award, Aditya Vikram Birla Award and the Kala Kiran Award.

In my humble opinion tabla is a distraction in classical music. If it helps its sound should be heard only by player. For audience it should be suppressed.
