The new bikes are awesome. I myself have a 24 RG in Sharkskin Blue

Nice, I couldn’t agree more. This is my first significant change in the touring line since owning a H-D. Can’t wait for my time to upgrade!! Congrats and thanks for watching, stay tuned!

Does the 1 inch of travel make a big difference?
I have a 2019 Road Glide Ultra that I love (and it's paid off)
So, I'm in a battle with myself. I love the hill-breaking feature, as I have a small amount of arthritis in my hands, and that would be a GOD send to
have help on hills (I live in S.C near Augusta Georiga), and they have a LOT of hills, so this would be a big help.
I love the screen, it's bigger and easier to see, especially for long-distance traveling.
The seats and lack of a tour pack are a turn-off, though I could add the tour pack and get another seat, which would affect the overall pricing with my paid-off trade-in.
Also, my understanding is the bike is lighter than previous models, but by adding back in the tour pack, you're just adding back in the weight.
Question: How is gas mileage. Is there an improvement?
Also, how is the sound system? Is there an improvement? Or would upgrading to a step-up sound system be the best option. As a military guy, I've lost some hearing, and while my 2019 has a good sound system, more sound would always be great. So, did they improve the sound system on the new 2024 Road Glide?
The one thing that bothers me is the damn "pegs" they have for the passenger. If you are going to do any type of long travel, floorboards are the best option, so why those are not standard is baffling to me.
NOTE: I love riding from S.C to Florida, and that's about a 9-hour trip depending on how often I take a break (usually when filling up)
So, the question I guess I have to ask is: Is the trade-in worth it?
PS: I have been looking and looking, and yet I can't find a seat with a wider passenger seat. They are too narrow, and that's not good when I want to add the tour pack and have my wife with me. That "slime" seat will not be comfortable for a passenger.

Thanks for watching Army Biker. For me it's definitely a wait and see situation as far as the bike as a whole. I do really like but I have to be very careful buying a new bike since I bought a new truck recently. I will tell you that the bike does seem lighter, I didn't play the stereo because I didn't want to get a copyright strike but my guess is that it would need upgrading, it's just the way it is from the factory. Based on what you wrote, if I'm you I would wait for the Ultra and Road Glide Limiteds to come out either mid-year or next year to get fully what you're looking for. I appreciate you watching an stay tuned!!!

The one in the opening in my shop is from Laidlaw's Harley-Davidson in California. I bought it probably 1.5 years ago I'm guessing. Thanks for watching and stay tuned!
