Brady in the 2021 playoffs
-beat D. Brees in New Orleans
-beat A.Rodgers in Green Bay
-beat Mahomes in the Super Bowl
Brady was the underdog in all 3 matchups 🤷🏾♂️
But none of that matters in this discussion since we’re talking about the first 6 seasons
Who cares about Mahomes first 6 years.
Brady won 1 of his Super Bowl throwing 2 td the whole post season lol had no rushing yards nothing he just had a good defense and a way better run game man also won another one throwing 2 touch down like bro yea Brady beat mahomes in a Super Bowl mahomes had no offense line everybody was out and the man toe needed surgery that fine he also beat him in a afc championship game where it went to overtime and mahomes didn’t saw back the ball 🏈 the only time when they met with no issue it wasn’t even close
@@tyanewilson217 Okay so he lost twice in the playoffs to Brady and one of those was at home. If Brady had Tyreek and Kelce in their prime is he losing a playoff game at home to a team where the receivers are Chris Hogan, Julian Edelman and washed up Gordon and an injured Gronk?
@@JC-db7so The Chiefs had a swiss cheese defense in 2018 and you're talking about a guy in his first year starting vs a guy 20 years into his career. Brady lost to the 10-6 Giants with a stacked football team that had 9 all-pros.
Thank you Moss for defending my QB
Tedy Bruschi said it properly. That's exactly the difference.
look at mahomes sb stats. team wins
Broski couldn’t name a single weapon that Tom Brady have in those first 6 years 😂
And he played with them lol
Tom's first 6 years was a different era of football. Defense was necessary to win. In this era teams can stack the offense and get away with it.
@@adonasbuhr2784Ok and then the other offense blows you out 😂 make it make sense last night was a defensive battle
I would say his weapons were Troy brown, Kevin Faulk, Deion Branch, Patten, Corey Dillon . I think all were in the league for at least 10 seasons
Glad Randy brought up the overlooked fact that Brady never had the ridiculous offensive weapons Mahomes had during the first 6 years. So naturally Mahomes would and should have better numbers. Brady had the great defenses, and Mahomes had the great offenses. So naturally his stats would reflect on that.
Don’t you dare disrespect Randy’s quarterback!!!

Randy is not going against Tom…next question😅😂🤣Randy is loyal
For your information TOM has 7 rings .. Mahomes 2. End of story 🤫🤫
@@robertgonzalez9018 watch the video again. its not about CAREER its about FIRST 6 SEASONS. and for that Patrick is better. if he has 20+ years and we can compare then, sure tom might have more rings etc. but first 6... no brainer. pat > brady.
also pat doesnt have a great defense like brady had.
@@robertgonzalez9018And how many times did the defense or special teams bail Tom Brady out?
The first 3 super bowls. Let's not forget all of the cheating.
Patrick is cementing his own legacy his upside is going to rise bc can get better cmon stop comparing him to Tom Brady is a league by himself
Dunno what Bruschi is talking about. Tom was the man in his 2nd SuperBowl. If Tom didn't carry the Pats (and the Pats Defense!) that game, they would've lost. Even in his 3rd SuperBowl, he wasn't just a complementary piece. Tom had a QB Rating of 110.2 in that 3rd SB. Yup, he didn't throw for a ton of yards (only 236), but back then 190 yards passing in a game was normal. If Tom was allowed to let loose, I am quite sure he could've throw 300+ yards easily. McNabb threw for 357 yards that game against that "great" Patriots Defense. So it would've been possible for Tom to throw 300 yards that if he wasn't being held back by Bill and his archaic ways back then.
2nd Super Bowl he was the man, but not his defense???
Brady wasn’t even a top 10 offense that season. His defense was #1
His defense kept BOTH mvp’s to 14 points in the playoffs

Mahomes literally lost to Tom Brady in the SB within his first 6 years, and they're putting him above Brady in the first 6 years 😂
They’re comparing each other’s first 6 seasons. Brady was the only to miss the playoffs in the first 6 seasons FYI
By that logic Eli manning is better than brady

@@dakota8381 the entire point of this video is to compare their first six seasons. Mahomes is clearly better. You bringing up Brady past his first six seasons is pretty much accepting that Brady was inferior.
Brady's first 6 years was 3 era's ago. You can't compare today's stats to 3 era's ago.
Yes you can
@@smoove3968then you're dumb. Completely different game with different rules.

And compare what? Why are we comparing them anyhow
If you want to be that nuanced, let's include Brady manipulating the cap by giving the Patriots team discounts on his contracts. Mahomes' cap hit is $37 mil this year, highest in the league. Last year his cap hit was 2nd highest. If he gave the Chiefs a Brady-esque discount to make him 10th highest paid, that's an extra $18 mil to go after an elite receiver.and still have money left over. Imagine what Mahomes' numbers would have looked like this year if they had that extra cap space to resign Juju and pick up Deandre Hopkins.
Im sick of all these premature coronations in sports today. Mahomes is incredible no doubt but Brady hasnt even been retired one year and they are already trying to take him off his throne. Let the kid have his career and then we will have the discussion.
This is the only thing to talk about.
@@jibes2239 No its not. You got Mr Irrelevant going to the Super Bowl in just two years, can Kyle Shanahan win the big game, Andy Reid vs Belichick, Andy Reid retirement, Kelce retirement, Kelce GOAT etc.

@nextbigthing2917 Do you even watch sports media? There is endless things to talk otherwise we wouldn't be seeing Neverending talk shows, podcasts, sports casts as far as the eye can see. Also you can discuss how Patrick had done thus far but already replacing him as the GOAT is downright disrespectful to Brady. There are several out there who already claim he's the best ever. It's ridiculous. He's not even caught up to Montana also Brady slapped him silly every time they faced off so he will probably never be the goat.
@@DavidMartinez-pg3zq He is on pace to be the goat is what people are saying obviously he hasn’t finished his career out but Brady head to head don’t matter because QBs don’t play defense otherwise Eli is better than Brady 2-0. And Mahomes is what’s hot rn and to gain viewership gotta talk about whatever’s hot.
Randy knows what Tom Brady could do with an elite reciever like..himself. 50+ TD's and 16-0
The moment he has real weapons again(Gronk,Edelman,Amendola) 3 SB's
Goes to Tampa with weapons at 43 years old 7th SB
Patrick Mahomes has had the Greatesst Offensive coach of the era, an above average defence and elite weapons at RB,TE and WR(until this year).
To me personaly this is Patricks best year he showed he can adapt and win with what's around him. He has bean Tom Bradyesque
Defense hello? Brady had an elite defense for a long time he didn’t have to do shootouts like Mahomes has too because chiefs defense up until this year wasn’t all that great.
Who was their elite WR weapon last year? lol Also, Brady gave the Patriots enormous team discounts with his contracts. Mahomes was the 2nd highest paid QB last year, and is the highest paid this year. If he gave the team a discount and was like the 10th highest paid, that's $18 million extra dollars ($37 mil cap hit vs $19 mil) to go after an elite WR.
@@user-ki9um4ju9d Yes the contract thing does limit weapons but that has nothing to do with Brady vs Mahomes on the field skillset debate.

Tbh i don't get caught up by the whole GOAT QB debate considering that Mahomes still has a long way to catch up Brady's careert total accomplishment. ...
However,, if you compare them on those first seasons as starters then Patrick Mahomes has the edge over Brady thus far in their first six years, according to that stat line on the show. Thats also if he wins his third Superbowl.
But that's where the debate stops given that Brady has won 7 Superbowl and has other accomplishments/stats that will take Patrick years to accomplish.
They are talking about the way Mahomes played this year in the playoffs like he's on fire for just managing the game and not having a negative play and letting his defense and running game do the job done, but then talk about Brady doing the same thing in his first couple years as a starter as if he was playing poorly and just doing the bare minimum. Brady also won a shootout in his second super bowl with no weapons.
They won those first three super bowls because of defense and special teams
Listening comprehension is key. None of those guys were talking down on Brady. They're comparing the first 6 years and it's just factual that Brady wasn't asked to do the things that Patrick was asked to do. Plus it was a run first league back then and the rules weren't as QB friendly as they are now. But to counter your point about Mahomes in this year's playoffs, it's crazy that in a year where he's "managing the game" he still has better stats than Brady in those playoff years where they considered Brady a game manager.
@@user-lt1fx2he5s By that logic then Mahomes is only in this Superbowl because of the defense

Bruschi is as good analyst as I am a great QB. He forgets that his "great defense" ended up 5-11 the year prior to TB12, could not make it in SBXXXI and did not make it past the divisional round before Tom tookover, he can show his rings now, that came after Tom ascended, and by the way, that great defense allowed 29 points in XBXXXIV. I don't disrispect Mahome-boy, he is great, but come on, he came in a team that consistently was make in it to the playoffs and was loaded. Not to mention the game rules that in this era favour the offense. It simply is not a fair comparison.
I love it adding more fuel to the fire

Rodgers also started his career with Donal Driver, Greg Jennings, and a young Jordy Nelson. Peyton was elite during the early 2000s, but he had Marvin Harrison & Reggie Wayne. Brady was given a 5-11 team with a more conservative (clock-management) offensive scheme with Troy Brown as his only PB WR over his first 6 seasons. Additionally, both Peyton & Rodgers fell into a West Coast or Air Coryell offense which is high flying, pass first offensive scheme which is what Brady joined when he went to Tampa. Their numbers in the first 6 seasons are actually close, and when you "adjust for inflation" ( you have to because it might as well have been another game in Brady's early days), it looks that much better for Brady. For some reason, people always forget to "adjust" in this particular case, when they are quick to in other cases.
Should we also adjust because Brady gave the Patriots a HUGE team discount and was like the 10th-20th highest paid QB while Mahomes this year is the highest paid at $37 mil cap hit for 2023 and was the 2nd highest paid last year? If Mahomes was the 10th highest paid QB this year, the Chiefs would have had an extra $18 million to grab an elite receiver like Deandre Hopkins with plenty of money left over.

That comes with experience. Something Pat is still gaining.
That’s not a counter argument to the point of the video which was comparing the first six years of their careers. Mahomes first year as a starter bested any season that Brady ever had statistically. Pat had to carry his team because they had the one of the worst defenses in the league. To me Tom is the unquestioned GOAT but it’s not blasphemous to acknowledge what Mahomes has done to this point.

Pat was drafted to a 11-5 winning team with weapons' galore, these guys couldn't name a weapon Brady had before Randy.
Pat is turning into the ultimate game manager, this term was used as an insult towards QB (Cam etc) but bcos Pat is excelling in that and has All time Great coaching we are saying its a good thing now.

Tedy, how many Super Bowls did you make it to with Bledsoe? What were defenses and rules like those first 6 years vs the last 7 years? Why was Brady, at a much older and slower age, individually better in his last years than his first first 12?
If he actually had a critical thinking skills, like Moss, he'd understand why he thinks Mahomes looks better in his first 6.
This guys comparing Mahomes to the GREAT Tom Brady. I hope KC loses TODAY see what they’re going to say next..
People were saying the same thing about Brady and Montana. Until Brady got his 4th ring. It's not mahomas saying he is the goat. He's saying he is doing what Brady did. He took a little less money he always talks about Brady with the most respect.
Teddy Speaking Facts cause of Drew Bledsoe
Why do people always wanna replace everybody and try to use a new guy to take something away from someone else. Too obsessed with how they compare next to others that don’t play anymore.
Ppl are witnessing greatness and speaking on it real time. Eventually ppl get replaced it’s how it goes. There was Montana before the guy you worship in Brady. Stop crying.
Yes, I think people are fine with greats being replaced, but replacing him this early is insane. He's not even "better" than Brady when comparing their peak stats. It just looks more spectacular
@@Rosepapi Greatness was Brady for 23 years. The Mahomes glazing is wild.
@@ghostx4747 Glazing is overstating, pointing out facts and what he’s done in a short time is not. Dude is great, you can hate all you want.
@Rosepapi first 6 years of Brady's career he went up against real defenses. Mahomes first 6 years, defenses were getting nerfed. Mahomes wouldn't do well against defenses back then. Y'all forget about that.
Lions had the 49ers, unfortunately they just made a few lucky catches it won’t happen with the Chiefs
Y’all already trying to Anoint Pat
and act like The GOAT TB12 🐐
Didn’t just put together Thee Best Career in NFL History
Yes, Pat is That Dude and has what it takes to push Brady for GOAT Status
Pat is already A GOAT and Best in The Game RN
But He’s still not TB12 The GOAT 🐐
Patrick has to keep doing what He’s been doing to even have a shot at somehow moving over the best we’ve ever seen
Brady beat Mahomes in KC to go get His 6th in NE
and then beat Mahomes again in
The SUPERBowl for Brady’s 7th 🏆
TB12 🐐
You do realize everyone calls Tom Brady the goat right? Just because mahomes in 6 years is better than Brady 6 years is doesn't change that y'all Brady fans hate anything that doesn't say Brady is better than anyone at anything🤦🏾♂️
@@evileyevalaus take it easy , creepy guy
People want to pay and see patrick mahomes. If patrick mahomes opened his own football league and he played in it the NFL rating will drop and pat mahomes league will go up. Brady could not do that
It’s way too early to even start this conversation
Brady has set the standard so high that the media(as I predicted)will have to create a whole new criteria on what the Goat is. In my opinion, Mahomes has to win6 Sb MVP’s to become the Goat.
Considering you can't touch mahomes without drawing half a dozen flags who is surprised by those stats.
you can just dont hit in the head and neck area, VERY simple rule
@ricky__s and below the knees and don't land on them and don't lead in with your head hitting them in the chest. Except we've literally watched someone get a perfect tackle and still get a flag. So, no, not a simple rule.
Tom beat him twice and the debate would be who had to play the better defense which ima go do my research and fig out but regardless as of rn Brady
Preach Randy!! “Give me his weapons” Teddy is a low key jealous hater of Brady he wants to take credit for 2001 but his same defense was 5-13 w Bledsoe as QB nice try Teddy
And I really hate that the media does this Career vs career bs, it’s not as good for sports as people think to pit these great players against each other. Why can’t Tom be great, and Pat be great?
mahomes came to more weapons , then brady his first six yrs , the difference like purdy and jimmy g same weapons better oppunities to shine
Either they forget or they don’t want to say that Brady beat Patrick in the AFC Championship and the Super Bowl. Debate ended!!!!!! Brady Goat!!!!!!!!
That's not a debate ender. If that was the case, Brady's losses to .500 qb Eli would disqualify him
@@jctslice no because we talking about Goat status which Eli ain’t in that convo!!!
Except the debate isn't is Eli better than Brady. Its Brady vs. Mahomes. 0-2 heads up in games that matter.
Patrick is great but he still has to work towards being the 🐐. If he can get five or six super bowls then we can talk the greatest of all time.
Brady couldn’t even get Moss a ring 😂
Peyton Manning, Arron Rodgers, Rivers and Big Ben all put up big stat numbers in that same era that Brady played in. So it’s not a excuse period.
The first 6 years as a starter for Brady was from 2001-2006. Only QB you just named that was putting up stats like that was Peyton. Rodgers didn't even start until 2008. New England in Brady's first 6 years was a team built on defense. The league was a run first league back then. So it isn't an excuse, its facts.
Peyton had Marvin Harrison & Reggie Wayne. Aaron Rodgers didn't start until 2008 after many of the defensive rules were implemented and started with Greg Jennings, Donald Driver, and a young Jordy Nelson. Rivers started in 2006 (also after most of the defensive rules changed) and he started with Ladanian Thomlinson & Antonio Gates. Note all 3 of these players either used West Coast or Air Coryell offenses which were higher passing volume offensive schemes than the Erhart-Perkins scheme that Brady used. The only QB on this list that used the same offensive scheme as Brady was Big Ben.
Big Ben between 2004-2006 (at the end of the defensive era) threw for 8,519 yards, 52TDs:43INTs with Hines Ward as his best WR. Brady between 2004-2006 with Deion Branch as his best WR had 11,331 yards, 78TDS:40INTs. So over that 3 year timeframe Brady threw for 2812 more yards, 26 more TDs and 3 less INTs. To put this into perspective Ben averaged 2840 yards & 17.3 TDs over that 3 year period, meaning Brady threw almost another full season worth of yards & 1.5 more seasons of TDs than Ben during the defensive era.
Read that back. Who's in this current period that's not a show pony that actually can win a superbowl? They all flashy but most don't have the temperament you mentioned.
First 6 I’m taking Mahomes. Brady was great for his circumstance. But Mahomes took the chiefs to a different level. Brady held the ship steady and it took ten years to win again. That’s when Brady went to goat mode.
The thing abt Brady is he was THAT good for 20 years! We’re abt to see if Pat has the stuff in a couple years when Kelce retires and he has to start from scratch going into his 30s
Tom neva had to carry tha Pats like Patty do... Tom had Deion Branch, A.Smith.. Corey Dilliom Pro Bowl Running back
Mahommes is definitely better QB at this point, longevity plays a part but a game is not played over 20 years if it comes down to one game at this point mahommes is better
Really? What happened when Brady and Mahomes met in the playoffs and SB?
@@gunguru7020 last I checked QBs play defenses? The chiefs offensive line was all hurt and tampa bays defense was very good. And you’re missing the argument we are talking about the first 7 seasons. Brady won his first Super Bowl while throwing one TD in the whole postseason, holding the greatest show on turf to 14 points, vinateri making impossible field goals, and of course the tuck rule. Brady was never considered the best quarterback in the league his first 7 seasons Manning was. Nobody is questioning whether mahommes is the best. Brady vs Mahommes up until this point is not even close mahommes is much better
@Liam-zu3yz Last I checked in Brady's first 6 years, defense could actually hit. Mahomes came into a league while the defenses were getting nerfed.
@@gunguru7020Eli is better than Brady he’s 2-0 but wait we all know Eli ain’t better than Brady because QBs don’t play defense.
@@Liam-zu3yzBrady’s 2004 stats going for 3rd super bowl
28TDs 14 INts 3692Yards 93QB rating 7.8YPA
2023 Mahomes going for 3rd super bowl
27TDs 14INT 4186Yards 93QB rating 7.0YPA
Saying Peyton with a dream team offense in dome was better then Brady because of stats is like saying Purdy is a better QB then Mahomes win or loss today because ue had better stats
Brady was the best QB in the NFL by 2003 but the media hated him and tried give all the credit to Belichick (dumbest sports take of all time as we now know) better stats/team doesn’t me better QB
Patriots had tyrek and Kelce for most part of those 6 years if you check the stats it’s a lot higher and take always tyrek hill and it’s a lot lower in difference period and yet the stats of Brady an mahome not that far off face it they both great quarterback maybe one day Patrick will have 3 hall of fame career like Brady as of this moment Tom is the greatest and beside I am still surprised that Brady didn’t win the MVP against Carolina
COKE DEALERS MAKING BANK TODAY GAWWDAMN
The Mahomes-Brady debate will be the new Jordan-LeBron debate in the years to come.
The Jordan-Lebron comparison is real. This feels manufactured to me.
Eventually the chiefs will have to either pay there stars and have less to build with or move on from them and hope to get quality replacements. THEN WE WILL SEE is he is the same or better then Brady. I agree in the first 6 years he is as good or better then Brady but Brady could play and win with anyone which made him great for so long.
Ima dolphins fan but they out. I would like 49ers to get a SB but out of these two teams I’m going chiefs
I love how they cherry pick for the "first 6 seasons" how many rings did each have after their first 4 seasons?
He started six seasons
okay and it took hiim 6 to get 3. took brady 4@@maa7332
Haha you Mahomes boys always have an answer don't you. What did you say when he was at 4 seasons?
Mahomes got on a team that was already talented, they just had a terrible quarterback and they still went to the playoffs So of course he's gonna have success in his first six years. Not saying he's not a great quarterback but he's not playing with garbage and turning them into gold
Regardless of era and rule changes, Pat has been the better QB through six years. I don’t think that is debatable (eye test included).
That is true, but using statistics without understanding the difference between surrounding offensive talent, era, and coaching schemes makes the difference look far greater than it actually is.
I don't think Pat would do well when the defenses were able to hit QBs.
