i just ordered my first nail kit and i'm going to start a small business on the side because currently i'm working at mcdonald's and saving money so i can buy all the supplies, i've done a couple sets on friends and family we all have to start somewhere and i'm so excited to start my journey! this has been my dream since i was 7 years old and i know i can do it! thank you for the helpful video🥰

Mcdonalds pays for some schools btw I work for them too and want to do the same thing. When I was looking it up it's a out 3k for school and 240 hrs to become one in my state. Mcdonalds will cover 2500 tuition for part time crew members.

She changed her color after the first coat went on, wanting to go from sheer pink to white so I told her I had to charge for a removal. She lookig like 😮. I’m like yes ma’am we talked about your color of choice so $10 extra. She then insists on applying glitter I explained that her nails wil be thick and may not last. Let talk about the down side because this game is not for the weak hearted
First, Im sorry you had to go through that, although this industry is full of great things, it teaches how to grow a thick skin. I do have a small block list. There is nothing wrong with turning down clientele that would make your job harder and to protect your energy. If they decide to book again, you can message something back like "Thank you for considering booking with me. I do not seem to meet your expectations at the moment, I am not the right nail tech to service you. I recommend this other tech...". There is no need for further explanation or arguing back and forth with the client. I wish you the best in your nail journey 💕

Wait, when I tell you that I have just found you and I really love how you have put these videos together. The hustle mentality that you have young lady is amazing. I have not been to nail school. I’ve always painted my family nails growing up because I love to paint nails so much. I do not want to go to nail school but want to be able to do as side hustle. How do I get knowledge on the basics of professional nails without spending a ton.
thats exactly how i started! its always been a passion for me. If you dont want to spend too much, I would recommend watching youtube videos and just start practicing. I recommend the young nails starter kit.

My certification unfortunately wasnt a great experience.... i had to teach myself and learn from youtube as she never had time for me or sat and showed me the dos and donts. Definitely learned on my own. Was supposed to get all my own things and that didnt happen either. I am starting over with buying my own things with my home studio

Hiii I live in Arizona too trying to be a nail tech/business owner and I wanted to know, if I were to want to start my own nail business, would I need to go to college to get an education in business first and then nail school?
While you can do that, I find that you can still access the same information and educate yourself through the process and save time and money!

Thank you for this I’m looking into becoming a nail tech🩷 I got a scholarship to go to a university to be a nurse but I knew it wasn’t in my heart. I wanted to do something in beauty! Like a nail or lash tech or maybe both! Im so anxious to start😭 I don’t hv any sisters just brothers and like 1 girl cousin and my friends are busy working! I don’t hv anyone to practice on and it’s makes me super nervous😭
If its meant to be, it will be! I dropped out of college to pursue my career. You have yourself to practice on and more opportunities will pour in as soon as you align yourself with your passions!! 💕
