  • Hi All
    In this film I want to share my excitement about getting a Ben Orford knife. You dont have to spend a lot of money on a knife but a full tang knife is great and this will last for ever.
    Mora knives are brilliiant and dont cost a lot but if you ever fancy a hand built knife Ben Orford is brilliant.
    All the best all

    Great collection there or evolution of knives should I say. A good example of leather molding too. Ben Orford? A Herefordshire lad! That looks a brilliant knife made by a master. I reckon you'll get many years enjoyment out it. Good going. Mark

    Beautiful knife, did you chose thicker liners or standard ones?

    • @warwickshireoutdoors
      @warwickshireoutdoors  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks. I think they were the thicker ones. I tried the elementary knife and found it a little thin. The liners made it better for me. I also requested the 4 mm width blade. Thanks for watching. 🏕🍻

    There is a reason the BEST bushcraft knives come witha 3mm and never 4mm or thicker scandi (Moras, Ben Oford, Rob Evans to name some). In my experience, no matter what grind or angle you put on a scandi, if it's 4mm and thicker, it simply doesn't work as good as a scandi with around 3mm thick blade. Add to that, that Scandis by nature,they suck at most other tasks, other than working wood. So, a 4mm or thicker blade with a scandi, makes things even worse for other tasks too.3mm to 3.2mm is perfection, 3.4mm is acceptable for a Bushcraft knife, for a utliitly knife, that you like to choose a scandi, then the thener the blade the better.
