There was even *over* compliance. Many businesses arbitrarily classified as "essential" had to close because hardly anyone showed up for work. No one wanted to risk catching Covid. Wasn't until the two weeks past and we were still told to stay home, given more restrictions, told this is the "new normal," that people started truly rebelling.

Boy, in 2020, Fluffy was supposed to go on a Europe tour and I was seriously considering to go to his show in Greece. I'm from a neighboring country. Then covid happened, the tour canceled and there we are....
I think it actually would have been 2 weeks, if absolutely everyone stayed home. That was the key. EVERYONE needed to fully isolate. A significant number didn't. Not only that but they lied to be able to cross borders to vacation and ended up spreading it further. Isolation to stop a contagion needs to be complete isolation. That did not happen. Compliance was way too low
Yep, you're right. Most people I know literally stayed at home...Ordered N95 or KN95 masks from Amazon. Did home food/ grocery delivery, etc. Those lucky enough of us were offered the chance to work at home with a laptop.
