very much helpful, thanks so much. I normally use three compressors, but still blame it on my studio mic, cause it has this harshness that I can't seem to get rid of no matter how much I tried. Scarlett solo ☹☹🥺
THIS WAS SO SO helpful. Thank you!! I didnt know about adjusting gain of individual notes in flex pitch. I have been doing volume automation. So thank you!
but you should compress always at the same volume as the raw vocal before, if u need to listen louder to the vocal just boost the volume of the channel cause if you change volume with compression plugins u cant reorder the plugins without destroying the chain cause u make volume changes, so gainstaging is very important
For compression, the key is knowing how to use a compressor, not as much which compressor you use. Honestly, start with the stock compressor in logic, it has a bunch of diff styles and renders great results
The closest may be Meldaproduction Turbocomp. The pro is it can emulate about 20 of the most popular compressor types. The con is the interface is ugly and not the most intuitive. I agree that stock compressor plugins are the way to go in the beginning.
yes, it helps you get more consistent volume (also making it easier to raise the volume without peaking) by controlling the dynamics of whatever you put it on :)
Hope you guys found this one helpful :) check out my latest releases on spotify rb.gy/628rnx

I can't believe that you actually detailed each technique that i know and some i didn't. This is a very useful tutorial, thank you

So helpful. You just answered such important questions i just couldnt get an answer to. Untill now.
Thanks again Valentina as this is a tutorial i really needed right now .
glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching :)
Thanks for sharing
I love your channel u the best

I SO LOVE THIS WOMAN! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Great vid Val ! And your new song LET IT BE is on point ! 😎
Suuuuuuuuuuuuuper helpful. Thank you.
Great video. Thanks.
We love Your Channel Val!!!!
Awesome video ! Do you increase also the "make up gain" , or you just compress at each level of compression ?
Yes, always adjust make up gain if you don’t want to lose volume :)
Is there a reason why you don’t gainmatch your plugins?
It wouldn't shock me if she did, but didn't bother to include in video
🔥🔥🔥❤️
@Valentina Bilancieri i have actually got a way with one compression and placed the song with majors so guess it depends
What microphone in audio interface are you using
What’s the bottom left button for manual adjustments?
🔥👀
🙏
How come in the video both the cla76 and first R vox are doing no gain reduction?

is there a all in one solution plugin?

Yeah, I suck at recording vocals😮💨
Once you get the hang of it, that’s the easiest part :)
Im still trying to perfect my vocals
Yo prefiero tener más dinámica .
For the love of God do not use the analog button on the waves comps. It's just added noise
¿Cómo estás Valentino? Sorry I was unsubscribed.
That’s a lot of compression 🤔
It's not if you only apply a little from each. Think of it as drinking 4 small bottles of water instead of a gallon at once
I personally just use 2
1. Fast Attack medium release 4:1 ratio
2. Slow attack slow Release
2:1 ratio
.
It's being 4 years and it still works 🤷🏻♂️
So fundamental takeaway use compression as a volume booster? (Except for what it obviously does. Bringing stuff close together)

@@bigacreations thanks for your report. Is upward compression something you pay any attention to? The mv2 for example
@@GrisibagageSnnaa-qz6zw yes, I actually
cover it in its own section of this video
@@bigacreations where? 🧐
