    great video thanks very much . I have a 48v 300ah lithium battery and ive been trying to work out why my inveter ( I have tried growatt & epever inverters and chargers, ). won't charge it over 50v , I am thinking the BMS won't allow it . have you seen this before? I am wanting to try a new BMS to see if that will get it up to 54v

    Have you thought of adding a bms bypass circuit breaker so when it is closed it links the B- and P- together....not helpful in this instance but in the event of a bms failure could get you out of a jam? cheers

    I get a locked Daly BMS app, cause the app is saying it needs a Software Update, and all options are locked out. It says it needs a secure firmware upgrade code? Any idea?

    Thank you very much. Today I ran my daly BMS and he doesnt charging battery (discharging works ok). Reset, changing setting - still nothing. After watching this video I deceide to switch off all - inverter, and battery. After restart all works great, BMS is charging and discharging.
    I was set max sum voltage to 56.7V on BMS but my new battery has on start 58V. Next they was discharged to 52V. Charging was blocked (in application is viewed as turn on [green]).This may cause of this issue.

    All good vids can you tell me how many ac wats can you pull through a 200a bms roughly Thanks

    • @offgrid_power
      @offgrid_power  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Depends on the voltage of your battery. If you're building a 12v 4s battery, you can pull around 2400w through the 200A BMS (basically multiply the voltage by the amperage). If it's a 24v 8s battery, then it's 4800w, etc..

    Hey there! Great video. I am facing an issue with my Daly BMS which I am using for a 4kWh modular battery pack. It shows the right cell voltage when the battery is not charging or discharging. But as soon as I charge the battery, one cell goes out of balance and while discharging, many cells go out of balance. However, when I check the same with my multimeter, the cell voltages are perfectly fine. Only the app is showing me an erroneous reading. Please help.

    I have a 100 ahr lifepo4 with a 60A s4 12v. The battery drained and now the BMS won't allow a charge at all "SOC LOW LEVEL 2"

      Try disconnecting your balance leads and reconnecting them to reset the BMS?

      @@offgrid_power I tried that I even charged the battery cells back to full charge and it still won't let me charge through the BMS. I wanted to reset the BMS back to factory settings but it keeps telling me that feature is not available. I don't know what else to try any other suggestions. The BMS allows me to drain the batteries but not charge them. When the batteries are fully charged and I set the SOC to 100% it still won't let me charge I'm wondering if the BMS switch that allows charging or not is destroyed.

      It was for a E-scooter, when I was finish with the wiring, everything was fine and working great but when I started to wrap the battery in it's old cover, it wouldn't charge anymore.
      It was showing 61V on B+/p- instead of 72v like B+/b-, I "redid" the wiring and it came back alright but after a couple hours it was back at 61v.

    I use different types of BMS for my projects. But only with Daly BMS i have a lot of problems. They are dying like a fly. The only reason why i use them sometimes is, that they (should) can handle a lot of current. but actually i have a new 500 A BMS that is not loading anymore (at the 3rd cycle). So the costs of a new one are 350€. 😫

    @3:17 i didnt dislike daly because it fails or electronic failure! i dislike it has really limited imporant features that some smart BMS has. You chose smart bms for many REASONS and one reason is balancing. You dont just balance during charge but you do it idle plus clunky and buggy app sometimes it charges sometimes it doesnt. new DALY bms i expect more but failed me.

  • @borriskoszlat7408

    That is nonsense, because you have mainswitch after bms and before your devic3s and also fuses for each device. And if you cut off power you can see on the daly app whats going on. The problem of this daly bms are different they disabled without a reason and go never ever back to work. Also not without any devices connected. Also no communication wirh bluetooth and app. Dead a new one only after one day without big currents...

      @@offgrid_power your title is very clickbait, makes it look like you can resolve a problem with a BMS that wont turn on, which is the same reason I am here. Total waste of time trying to find technical information, where you could have just stated at the beginning it wasn't a BMS fault. Please at the very least fix the title as this is the first response you find when looking for help.
