    This is exactly what I needed. the 2" C-clamp and 1/2" PVC cap cost me $4.74. I used a couple pennies as shims, and nickels as the plat and anvil. This also makes the pucks a little smaller and could fit easier into your favorite device.

    Honestly I love the video and I love how you are the true reality of stoners specifically canadian stoners crafty and creative but just respect for making this video and showing people your craft ... 👌 mad respect.. if you take the keif pucks which is pretty much morracan style hash amazing btw... if you take it and put it between a nice piece of melt proof cellophane plastic and use a glass see through wine bottle you can put boiling water in the bottle and gently roll it over the hash in cellophane and press it like Frenchy Cannoli

    You ain't puckin' around! great idea! I like it. add a little heat and its even better. Try this...metal end cap (pvc is toxic when heated,) ...add periodic light heat (crafting heat gun, hair dryer) while increasing pressure incrementally - a little parchment top and bottom make it super easy to remove. the end result is a nice browned semi-sticky 1980's style hash nugget.

      Hi JJ O'shay! Thanks for your kind (wtf, why bother) comment.(No really, I’m not being sarcastic I mean that.) Thanks. Over a 1,000 views and you were the first person to question my method.
      It’s like this; I’d just collected 2 grams of keif (from cannabis, I’d grown myself) using a crusty paint shaker in 4 minutes. It only seemed fitting that I should press it using something basic. I think that we get stuck and don’t progress when we don’t test theory, occasionally. I can tell you that I am thoroughly enjoying these white-ish kief wafers. Just a tiny crumble, smouldering, and pressed against my e-nail heated to 720 F. Tasted like sweet fruit and was smooth on the throat. Kept me lifted for an hour. Had that strain tested and she clocked in at 15.9 %THC so with those results, this lady’s expectations were met. ;)

    You didn't heat it before it was pressed. Hash needs to be heated. You need the heat to break the trichomes. This isn't hash. This is just a brick of kief. Add some heat and watch that golden stuff turn black. THEN it's hash.

    • @stirthepotcookingsupplies316
      @stirthepotcookingsupplies316  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi @Drew Kane,
      No worries. I apologize if that freaks you, but all hashish is, is stuck together trichomes that eventual gets lit on fire so that it will smoulder. I took that pressed puck of trichomes and added heat when I dabbed it through my enail while applying some additional pressure at that time. Phenomenal taste and smooth. Black hash is oxidized. It’s been exposed to oxygen when the trichomes got handled and that’s what everyone has been use to seeing...black hashish coming out of the Afghani mountains that’s been hand squished within an inch of its life and by how many hands we will never really know. Lolz! Now, I am not knocking the whole bacteria laden sticky black balls of hash that everyone loves, because they do bring something interesting to the table. I just wanted to try making something different. Thanks for commenting.

    • @DrewKane
      @DrewKane 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@stirthepotcookingsupplies316 Pressing hash involves a combination of force and mild heat to condense the glands into a solid mass. You obviously don't know shit about making good hash. Heat is what makes the hash sticky and not just a ball of crumbly kief, like you make. Heat turns hash dark, because the trichomes literally burst open, and that's how it sticks together and become like soft dough. The way you make it, I assume it's hard, crumbly shit that dries out in a week and doesn't feel like real hash, because frankly, it isn't. Heat is applied to thoroughly melt the waxy cuticle of each trichome head, which is mandatory if you're using dry, aged kief like you should for hash. Otherwise, all you have is a ball of kief, and that's not hash. Hash is processed, and that process requires oxidisation via heat.

      Well done @Drew Kane! I respect that you can and do think for yourself. When you become more enlightened perhaps you will choose to share your perspective without having to tell me that I know nothing, when I share mine. Much appreciation for your mind. Best wishes.
