IMBD says this came out in 2023 and the first time I'd ever even HEARD of it was like 2 weeks ago lmfao. Great film, the gimmick of it was super entertaining throughout and some of the action scenes were *ridiculous*.
ngl tho, because of the boy's line about getting away from the van der koy's totalitarian hell hole and mina's dialogue together with their scene in the arcade as their "perfect moment" it kinda implied that ending made it seem that boy and june 27 did not make it due to the damage they got and did not even survive.
Because they didn’t like the type of rulers and the society that their mother and family were making. That’s why they give the five fingers to the statue of their mom when their kids because they in fact didn’t like her because she was cruel and sadistic and crazy. It seemed kind of confusing, but not necessarily when you really think about it and not gonna lie I called it right when I first saw the chick that it might be his sister somehow and that she wasn’t dead. The shaman definitely caught me alittle off guard but as the movie went on, I started suspecting something was off
@@justindiaz540same dude ! As soon as he walked in where all the paintings were and the camera was like spinning around and showing him so confused , I was like oh fuck no , it’s his fucking family !! The brainwashing caught me way off guard
It's simple to explain. Boy and sister where pawns in the game life. His mother or the Shaman. Doesn't matter, both just wanted to use them as tools to kill. The only way to be free of that. To shape their way. Like the plan they made as children. Was to kill both. It's not about the greater good of society. Nothing to do with killing off bad leaders. It was about breaking free. Being able to make their own path.
@@VictoriaTraducciones The Shaman didn’t “need” to be put down, at least in an objectivist sense compared to Hilda. If he had simply walked away instead of doubling down on his own bloodlust by trying to kill June 27 when she had no hand in the death of his family, then they could have let bygones be bygones. But Boy couldn’t choose him over his own sister, especially when he feels that she has a chance at rehabilitation, even though both the Shaman and June 27 were damaged monsters in their own ways. The Shaman was too consumed by vengeance to see straight, but he could have walked away with his life if he simply had enough sense to let it go.
You seem to be forgetting that she’s also his long lost sister, and at the end, she killed her own mother to save him. June 27 may not have been a good person, but she was ride or die for her brother. In his point of view, she was still family to him and deserved a chance at rehabilitation after what they went through together. There was no way that he was going to let her die.
I'm really confused about this movie because if he was brain washed then why would him and his sister flip off their mom so that was probably part of the brain washing yet his sister remembered it to also why kill the mom ( other of course that she was a murderer and monster) clearly the sister didn't mind she killed for her and she genuinely looked like she loved them why sentence him to death and would the sister kill her
The brainwashing only affected his memories of who his mother was and how his sister died. But his memories with his sister were real. They always hated their mother growing up. His sister also hated their entire family, she literally admits it at the end. She only killed for them because she was raised into it and saw no other life beyond her role in the family. She killed their mother because her brother was the only person left that she cared about.
no him and his sister hated their mom because she was a sadistic abusive cold hearted mother and they also hated the society and rules of their mother they literally planned to escape the whole family to get away from her
@@Y2kNash i think you're right. But the film didn't do a good job of showing that. Or telling it i wish they showed more of why their mother was evil ruler. The culling might be enough to imply this. But how did she come to power? Why are some citizens all about the culling and some not?
@@Nolen_Sorento she came to power because of a war they won they mentioned it around the beginning I feel like hilga is supposed to be inspired by what if hitlers family stayed in power and won all wars
@@Nolen_Sorento The film shows that they own the press, the aunt in the red suit is literally the one running media propaganda for the family. They also own merchandising all the way down to cereal mascots, which is why some citizens were brainwashed into supporting the Culling. They literally showed Hilda forcing her own son into murdering the Shaman’s family. I don’t know how much more do you need to figure out that Hilda was an evil ruler.
My thought in ending It kind unknown what happened rest soldiers they maybe got killed by boy and june without their leadership they still Dissolve and because some rebels overthrown their place they wont cause harm innocent life they maybe imprisonment or got killed these soldiers have no where to go.

*What did you think of BOY KILLS WORLD? Are you looking forward to this universe expanding into video games and TV?*
I absolutely love it. The dark scary tone shift at the end when he doesn’t talk for 30 minutes was cool. Made it seem like they might all die there.
Yep yep!
Damn, Ryan really took a different path from his father Homelander
Talk about a show that killed it's world
I saw online that there’s another cut with Bill Skarsgård voicing the inner monologues
This movie was badass. 😮

Yeah, that date is incorrect. I think it played at festivals in 2023, but was released this year in 2024

Because Hilda needed to be put down, just like the Shaman

This movie is INCREDIBLE!!!!!
I loved it so much! it was very entertaining and good!
The action was out of control
I like it, but did he forget that 06-27 is evil af, quite literally the weapon of destruction???
So is he though. They all have their demons and it’s not like she had a choice in it at all.
