I have a $5 note that looks as though there was a colouring or dye error on a large portion of the note. I have no idea whether it actually is a printing error or a mishap in circulation but if it were a printing error would it have value to a collector?

Absolutely, I’d have to see photos to confirm, but not all mules have the second circle all the way around. If it’s a 2000 $1 coin with the extra rim, that sounds like a mule. 🎉 Sorry to hear about the previous mule. 😔 Thank you for the great feedback. 😃

No but I think I found an error coin in the 2022 2 dollar coloured olympic coin. Mine doesn't look like the official printed one displayed on the net. This may actually be worth something much more than 2 dollars? In any case I'm keeping it for now.

Their a great Ebay sale if short of a $1. Never found a 'Letter A envalope' but I do have 2 un-opened Rolls..! Are the Rolls worth more Open or Unopened..!? Not sure, but maybe a Great suprise when I do open them..! All I can say is, Hit the Banks guys. Spend a few hours Noddling. Then put them back in the Bank..! It's Better Value than the Pokies..!! @@AustraliaCoins found it. I have weighed it at 2.7 gm by weighing 10 without it and 10 with it at 27 gm. Diam is same but no head die cast! Pressed. So there’s no date of the coin. Edge markings the same the thickness is very similar but no raised rim on the blank side. Have taken photos of both sides along with another 5 cent coin for comparison.
@BunyipnAbout it depends on whether it is a genuine blank (un-minted coin), or a coin that has been ground down to look like a blank. It might be worth checking with a dealer.

All 1988 $2 coins have the "hh" on them.... I though they were rare as well, until I ended up with a heap of 88 $2 coins, and every one of them had that on them. However they might be worth something? Idk?

Francis, check ebay to see what coins like yours are selling for. Check the 1966 to see if it’s a wavy. Otherwise 2012 & 2013 are pretty common coins. Are they proof coins or just from circulation?

Absolutely mate! It was somewhat low mintage to start with, but as you say, these days even normal 2000 mob of roos dollars are hard to find.

Try finding a 1983 or 1984 20c in your change, you'll find they're almost non-existent at approx. 1000 coins a piece ;)
