Was on GATN in mid December. All boarded and was on for over an hour as the maintenance crew were in the cockpit. Once we got going it sounded really ropey. Well to me it did and glad when I reached ALC 🤦🏿
I was on 777 G-VIIB when it had an electrical fire in July, spent a delightful 13 hours on the runway at Goose bay CFAB. Hopefully they have no recurrence of this in the coming year.
These updates are very interesting so thanks for posting Flying to Antigua in Business class on Saturday so might be lucky and get a club suite 777? I will just be happy if they have any aircraft available! Wonder how much longer they will keep the 25 yr old 777s going
I’ve chosen BA to fly to Boston in June but I’m thinking I should’ve gone with Virgin. BA’s baggage on economy was far superior for similar price, so went with that.
Very interesting briefing Mark thank you. I’d like to know if BA are continuing with the double deckers and are there any plans to return services to Englands second city after the massive extensions underway?
@@stephenclee6272 yes BA is going to keep the A380s and plans in place to refurbish those with Club Suites and New First. I don’t think BA have any plans to launch services from Birmingham.

@ I’ve flown a lot of airlines from around the world going back to boac and I’ve never had a bad experience with ba as a disabled passenger I can’t say that for alot of the rest of them and know I don’t work for them.
These updates are excellent- really like the slides that go with the commentary 👍
@@chrismason1241 Thanks! Much appreciated.
@@markstrainsplanes Agreed - much easier to follow with the slides!
Excellent update, Mark. Point of order, PS and PR are A319’s out in AUH. Keep the videos coming!
@@jackmoore6692 good point!
These detailed videos give a new dimension to the operating difficulties airlines are facing. Well done.

I'm sure IAG had further options on A350's after the initial 18 .should have taken them up.
I miss the A318 LCY toJFK fleet

what's the reason 2 of the 777-300s are in Cardiff for?
Maintenance checks
@@markstrainsplanes I see. Another question I have in mind is why do the A380s often have technical issues with its engines?

I don’t understand why BA hasn’t taken up it’s options on the a350 if not the 1000 they could convert to the 900.

Hi Mark, please can you do a dedicated video on the whole debacle with the 787 technical issues and in particular the RR Engine problems?
The simple answer is because they’re not a great airline, and don’t care for the passenger experience
Look at what they’ve done to the Exec club, trashed it by giving a big stuff you to very loyal members

A319 UPS AND UPR
I’m flying Virgin Atlantic for the first time in March because I dislike BA so much.
