Me and my friends had a "bad games night" safe to say that we ended up playing for a good few hours and it was a blast, good work man thanks for making this gem 🙂
1.2 Million views lmao you actually deserve it the game is really fun and thanks for making it f2p f2p is the only reason I got to play this game otherwise I wouldn't have gotten to play this masterpiece my country is in inflation like really bad and also how optimized this game is it works on 50-60 fps on medium on 10+ year old device its like mind blowing specially bc this game features active ragdolls and physics
Man, congratulations on the success! Yes, there were bugs, but you worked hard to fix them and make your game better. And honestly, dedication to making sure your game was as free of bugs as possible is becoming rarer these days. Super inspiring.
this game look exactly like some childhood dream bro, like the various types of guns and everything man. that combined with the fact that you can simply grapple around the map is such a good idea. def checking this game out
man, i think what discourages me the most into making a full indie game, is that i know that when i release it, only a few people will play it, and my game will feel like a failure. no matter how much time i spent on my game, in the end, its very likely nobody will ever give attention to it. and i dont even know any advertisement tricks either, and this happens not only for games, but for any sort of original content that i make. you know, for me, the most rewarding thing about making games is actually seeing people enjoying your work. i dont care about money, i dont mind making my game free and open source, as long as i see people enjoying my game, and that is my life dream that i have no idea how to achieve. do you have any tips? idk if you will even read this comment, but i feel like this is an opportunity to talk about this situation ive been struggling.
keeping putting it out there and change if it doesn't get the result you want, stick to what gives better results and keep trying, statistically, most will fail
I would recommend building a game without the idea of it being a succes. If the first game that you make fails, you learn from that and try again. There is always a possibility that you fail, but I think that you can learn and improve a lot more on failing than on succeeding. Imagine this, you make your first game and it’s a giant succes. After that, you will always compare your game to that first big succes, likely not innovating anymore. You will hang on to your first product too much, hampering your progress in the end. Failure is only the end if you let it be the end.
The movement is highly reminiscent of games I've played like AOTTG and others. I was just thinking about how much I wanted to make a game with genuine physics based grapples. Glad to see someone else had the same idea!
I was gonna say this looks very similar to AOTTG or at least the movement does. I played the shit out of that fan game. I still think it is the best implementation of the ODMG in a video game and no other official or fan games comes even close.
Wow, I was almost turning into a desperate state that my online game won't succeed and that it is hard for indies to convince players to play their online games. But your video encourages me to just finish the game and let it see the light, so gamers may find a chance to pick it.
things i found in this game: 1. enjoyment (i played the game for total like 10hours but got bored bcs there are not lot of guns and maps which would make the game more interesting) 2. i also found out that when u are tapping right and left button very fast u can gain higher speed (idk if its bug or if its supposed to happen) but anyways ur game is dope :D
No way that game is yours! I've played it quite a lot in steam last month and I really enjoyed it! I love the grappling mechanic together with a good pvp. I'm from Brazil, btw!
ive just downloaded the game after seeing this and i can definitely say its one of the most fun games ive experienced in a very long time. i can see this being huge.
I did not expect Neutral Milk Hotel and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard to start playing... You've got great taste in music and this game looks awesome. Keep it up!
I just wanna ask if you could also add some preexisting server into grapple galore seems like a fun game but if you can only play if you're planning with friends to host and join kinda loses some momentum when you have to wait around especially if you're friends aren't into it
Are you hosting the game servers or are the players hosting them? If players are you using Steams multiplayer support to make hosting easier for the players? Nice work! 👍
reminds me of the classic LMCTF Loki Minions Capture the Flag for Quake 2 THUS... add a CTF mode so that there is a reason to be zooming around on your grapple everywhere!
this game is fucken fire bro friends and i had a stick fight community but eventually got kinda bored considering landfall hasn't even acknowledged the existence of the game in years lmao this is an amazing replacement man, awesome work
Game looks amazing but i find it interesting that this has reversed the typical dynamic for indiegames. Usually the playerbase watches the content and then a fraction of it plays the game, but this game has this dynamic reversed. Far more play the game than watch the creator. Reminds me of a book i read about businesses where it states that the goal is not to pool all your profits into marketing, but rather focus on making a good product so your customers promote it. Interesting to see it play out before my eyes
Multiplayer and F2P is a mad combination. The only situation in which such a game will not get players is if the market is oversaturated with other such games.
it's really cool to hear about how people are giving their honest feedback on the game and the dev reflecting on that feedback and using it to improve on the game with the utmost care and appreciation for both the game theyve made and the community thats formed around it
That's awesome man, workshop support would be hugeeee
no way you are still alive
Real
You know its a brilliant game when Dani comments on it
thanks dani! Its crazy to see you comment, u have been a huge inspiration for me in my game dev journey
Dani ...
I miss you
Me and my friends had a "bad games night" safe to say that we ended up playing for a good few hours and it was a blast, good work man thanks for making this gem 🙂

What do you mean by "1.2 million views" ? He has less than 500 currently (though he really deserves the figure you said)

Thanks you!
I really love the color effects you've used; makes the game look soooo much more interesting
You can't directly buy games in steam from Russia, that boosts popularity of any f2p games there.
Is that why open source games have a big Russian community?
I can't see why you're so underrated on youtube! You really do deserve more!
Wish you luck on your game :)
Thanks!
epic game mate! congrats on your games success. Just releasing a banger of a game effortlessly
Thank you so much!
Being able to see your bug squashing bring your game from 70% to 90% must have been so satisfying, that's great work.
Both king of carrot flowers and sense. This guy got taste!
damn with the neutral milk hotel music in the background is fire
this game look exactly like some childhood dream bro, like the various types of guns and everything man. that combined with the fact that you can simply grapple around the map is such a good idea. def checking this game out
Congrats man! Good to see indies finding some success after their hard work! Keep it up!
This taps into that early 2000s feel that me and my buddies had playing 007 night fire with grappling hooks on

Love the backing track choices 👍
hehe

It's such an axing game but a park our mode would be a head top manager ceo kiss

The best thing about your game is the visuals and the Ragdoll. It looks like a game by Landfall
I actually stumbled upon your game, looks like a lot of fun ! I'll definitely try it out :)
Keep up the good work !
ive just downloaded the game after seeing this and i can definitely say its one of the most fun games ive experienced in a very long time. i can see this being huge.

Huuge gratz man. That's awesome to see, and a really cool game!
Thanks! Cool to see you comment, I'm switching the game over to fishnet atm and have used some of your tutorials to learn how everything works :)
@@zoteling2817 How fun! Glad to hear it is working out for you

awesome bro, ima try your game right now, we are making our first Steam game, you are our inspiration, keep going bro.
i was playing your game like every day, its incredible
yo! you should add a boost when you shoot the minigun and the ground
Just installed this on my steam deck and sunk 2 hours in it having a blast. Needed a multiplayer game to play on it so bad n this is perfect
No fricking way 😱 @danidev is alive🥳🥳🥳 let's all bow to the legend😌
H20 Delirious and CaRtOoNz playing your game is one of the most surreal things for real
Are you hosting the game servers or are the players hosting them? If players are you using Steams multiplayer support to make hosting easier for the players? Nice work! 👍
My friend recommended me this game to play together, It's great, Didn't even know its not THAT mainstream. 😅
thats great, good job :) just for idea, how many wishlists you had before lunch?
yeah i remeber seeing your game, never thought id find one of my favorite games on a random group
Yo, that game looks sick! Who would've thought that telegram of all things would be able to boost visibility that much, haha
reminds me of the classic LMCTF Loki Minions Capture the Flag for Quake 2
THUS... add a CTF mode so that there is a reason to be zooming around on your grapple everywhere!
In terms of making it f2p there's nothing stopping you from adding skins, you can earn a lot from steam market
you should make it where the characters do flips in the air like the spiderman games
Good effort, glad to hear you succeded!
I would love to watch the making of this game. How did you come up with it
if you click both mouse buttons with speed u can just be so op fr
u can ascend so fast
Invested for the release, game looks great!
this game is fucken fire bro

I love seeing these types of videos! Congrats bud really love the game ❤️❤️❤️
I have just been playing with it like a week ago it amazing dude keep up the good work ❤
i think i found the best way to move in this game ,it's spam clicking right and left mouse button

Congrats on your success!! How do you make money on a f2p game?
Thanks! I have a cosmetic DLC pack for those who want to support me. F2P games like mine don't make a ton of money either way though
Good luck man, cool game! )
Nice video I liked and subscribed I’m happy to see game devs succeed because it’s my dream too
Your Inspiring. Any advice on Fixing game code
and how to start programming
Looks like fun. Gonna try this at some point for sure.
I think adding some fun things will be nice : like the capability to have two grabbles or a limited grabble or a boss fight or some platforms
this looks really cool! Keep up the good work!
I’ll check it out later. Looks fun
I really like the grappling hook system.
"yeah its because im awesome and cool"
