Hannah, my daughter is a baker in Fort Wayne, IN who sells at a local year round farmer's market. She charges $7 to $13 per loaf of bread. So those prices are not unreasonable. I really would love to bring her, my millennial, to London for Christmas shopping. The Borough Market is my kind of shopping!

I remember living in England, and thinking how inexpensive food was compared to the States- so in comparison to todays prices here on the West Coast of the US, it still is reasonable for a specialty food market. So fun to shop with you🎄
They need to stop calling it a market. It should be called "Borough Harrods" or "Borough Selfridges"

Personally I find Borough Market expensive, it's not like a traditional London Market where you can purchase food items much cheaper
like visiting East Street Market in Walworth, not very far from The Borough
Much cheaper for everything.
The Borough Market charge more for many rolls etc than Harrods Food Halls.
Also since the Pandemic I am not keen on all the food being unwrapped and not well covered.
Too easy for germs to get on the food, maybe I am getting fussy in my old age

I love Borough Market! I used to go there once a week for food, but I haven't been since lockdown. As for Bridget Jones, you're dead right about the locations - and just round the corner in Clink Street is the location they used for Daniel Cleaver's flat.

Ah excellent, I love Borough Market, I'm looking forward to being back there next year. I bought my mum some cheese from there ,and that restaurant Roast ,I took my dad there for breakfast. We met a man at the market who owns a hawk that chases away the other birds , I got pictures of that , excellent Hannah 👍
What a nice market it is! Hannah, you did an excellent job going there and filming it. Indeed, it worths a lot to go on a good visit to know and see everything they have! The prices seem to be good. I wonder how they get everyday all that huge variety of fresh fruits which you can only find in very distant countries, as they are not typical from the UK! Some of those fruits I recognized from Brazil, as "Jaca " , and "Manga" ( the portuguese name for Mango ). Merry Christmas!!! 🎅🎄🎁🔔🌟🦌☃❄

Oh those memories!! Thank you Hannah for bringing them back to me. If I lived nearby I'd do all my food shopping around there. This Summer I visited this place with a friend. I was in a dream. I had the best fish and chips in my life, very nice gluten free cakes, falafel wrap, coffee... you name it. But I discovered a foodie's heaven: a spice shop called Spice Mountain. They have spices from all over the world. I brought a big bag home. I was tempted with the cheeses but I didn't get any in the end because I imagined the poor airport stuff handling my super smelly luggage LOL The only thing I found disappointing was the toilet situation. I saw only one by the entrance near the tube station.
Sounds like a great time! I do think they have sorted the bathrooms out now thankfully
You wouldn’t shop there all the time, it’s 3/4 times the price of your local supermarket

Hello Hannah! Great to see you again, as usual. I love seeing video about Borough Market. The prices probably are a little high, but I think people have to consider its a touristy place and there's a lot of high quality food here. To be fair, with the exchange rate... every place is kind of pricey compared to here in Canada (with the exchange rate), but I would imagine shopping at Borough Market would still be cheaper than the food hall at Harrod's. And who doesn't like the atmosphere of an old time market? Thanks for posting, and "Til next time!

Barcelona has some fabulous covered food markets but, I agree, Borough Market outshines them all, really really inspiring. I love your expression cupboardy bits, reminds me I need to go sort mine out and get rid of some of the out-of-date back of the cupboardy bits. Thanks for this great video.

Malaga Ataranza market is unbelievable, as good as Boquería but without the tourist vibe. Fabulous place!
So nice to see you so many times in one week now !!! I was at borough market last week and was even looking to see if i was in the video somehow not knowing when exactly you had been there. I got a wonderful halloumi burger and it was worth the price which was decent. Some things at borough are good and some overpriced. Got some smoked Cheddar that I liked very much too. Enjoyed looking back to a market I also find interesting and curbs my hunger !

Oh wow 🤩 Hannah this tour of the food market was amazing! I was hoping you were going to buy one of those adorable mini wreaths and maybe try that delicious paella. My taste buds were dancing just watching all those different food choices. I have to agree not much a fan of the 🍄 truffle craze on everything. Have to say nobody does Vlogmas quite like you, and I have been watching my fair share of vlogmas...even the influencer gals living it up in The Cotswolds. The food in the uk seems quite cheaper because you mostly produce in land. From eggs to cheese. You have a huge variety in the u.k. I'm from Germany and some of your food prices are quite cheaper some are the same price here after currency comparison

When I was in London last, I went to Borough Market at least 10 times out of the two weeks that I spent in my favourite city! I think I can eat my way into oblivion and be happy if I lived in London!

I think the prices aren't that bad; especially for an international city.
We just spent $100 for a relatively normal size Christmas tree this year. Which we would have spent about $25 to $30 just a few years ago.
Seems like normal prices nothing I'd be shocked at to spend.

Based on Australian prices, the food looked so cheap for artisan morsels but compared to your UK Supermarkets, I can see it is a real treat. I actually did visit Borough Market in September. So much to see...And taste. It's is an amazing place . I just love the history of the area. It's a prolific filming location - American Werewolf in London and Murder by Decree, were filmed in Clink Street and down the side of Southwark Cathedral, in the 70s and 80s. It was more warehousey, and the market was wholesale then and was very different! Thanks agsin, Hannah. Really appreciate your filming in not easy circumstances!

I’ve actually bumped there casually as next to the market we ate wonderful handmade pasta In an Italian restaurant
called Padella that hope still exists.This market Is a proof that you’ve Improved a lot In food quality during the years.
Indian food and Kebab like I had In the UK nowhere else 👍🏻
Not to mention the atmosphere you can create during Christmas time: priceless, well done!
In general I find food more expensive than In Italy but never mind since you can satisfy any inner food crave your mind can think of 😋

Hannah, I love sweets too! There is a simple thing I learned to do that really helped prevent dental cavities. Always swish water around in your mouth immediately after you are done eating anything. It has been so much fun watching all your Christmas vlogs last year and your news ones this year too. Thanks for making them. You’re the best!

I assume one would learn their way around and how to find what they want, but what a warren of shops, stalls and crowds of people with the patience to wait in long lines for their food. What? Hi pretty lady, been following your channel for about two years now. I’m from Los Angeles California. Really enjoy your videos, you record things so very detailed especially with prices. Really useful. In one of your questions about if the food in the UK is expensive or cheap. Well, I’ve dined just about everywhere upscale over here and honestly the food prices is very cheap compared to food in Southern California. Even one of your videos at the Ritz hotel. It looks very upscale and still the prices is still cheaper than here. For like a piece of steak at a 5 star restaurant like Mastros Steak house in Beverly Hills is about $100 or over. Well, keep up the great videos! :)

Well - you outdid yourself with this one! Kudos for filming in Borough Market with all the hustle and bustle. It's certainly a feast for the senses. Too bad you didn't get to try one of the sausage rolls - they are great! Such a fantastic spot, and then to find a gorgeous cathedral right outside - spectacular! Everything I've tried there has been good, especially the cheeses and the breads. Love all the fruit and veg stands and the lovely flowers. Thank you so much! Hi Hannah. I have in fact been to Borough Market... twice. Once with someone when we just stumbled on it. And once on my own when I was looking at movie locations, and yep, that was Brigit's place, and the window where the lads crashed through during their brawl.
And yeah I also wondered about her life. Living somewhere so close to the river, to food and bars. (tho would be a bit noisy with that train).
If I recall correctly, there is also a narrow alleyway near there, that loads to the riverside, where Ask and a few others are. It's like something out of harry potter. Dark brickwork etc. I dont' recall exactly where, but am sure if I back traced it from ASK, I would find it. you get a great view of Tower Bridge too.
I never realised how large that place was though. Tough enough to be on the phone there, let alone recording a vlog, so top marks to you for doing that. Love all those cheeses, and that butter looked very special.
Salt Beef: I don't think I've ever had it made properly like that. Only out of the tin from the supermarket! Maybe next Christmas, when things have calmed a bit. Hopefully costs of things have relaxed a little too. Else it's just joyous to be there.
Meant to say that I loved the Harrods vlog as well - all those windows. Heaven knows how much they paid for all that. Exclusive deal.

I wish we had a market like this here in Miami with so many shops and vendors in one place! As for the prices, it looks like your prices in London are similar to what they would be for those same items here, and maybe even a little less! A Miamian going through Borough Market would think the prices were quite reasonable. I laughed at your video about Whole Foods being the most expensive food store in the UK - here that's not even close. Try grocery shopping at Epicure on Miami Beach or Dean & DeLuca in New York. But I'm extremely jealous - watching this and then all of your Christmas videos going through Harrods, Selfridges, Liberty, Fortnum & Mason... LOVE those!

I very much enjoy your vlogs. It’s like taking a mini vacation but without leaving your home. We know frequently parents divorce and we are often only in close contact with one parent.
Perhaps have a future vlog with your dad for one of your shopping or eating expeditions?

Fabulous vlog today Hannah, especially because it didn’t have loud tuneless music playing in the background, loved it. All the amazing choices of food, Wow. Loved the Bridget Jones movies. In heaven with all the cheeses and the fudge stall, I was in heaven.
