This was Kate's 1st full season! She has proved why she deserves to stay on the show since her very first episode.
Actually this is her 2nd full season. She joined the cast near the end of season 37 and her first full season was the following season (season 38)

I remember when Kristen Wiig left the show and Kate McKinnon was introduced, she had haters saying she's boring and her roles are limited cuz she's the typical blond white woman. Now look at her thriving and can impersonate almost anyone ❤

There's a McLaughlin Group sketch where John asks them how they start the show. They all say "Live from New York, it's Saturday Night" and get a WROOOOONG! response...which was doubly hilarious because the fakeout actually fooled the house band who started playing, before cutting off and earning an ad-libbed WROOOOONG! from Dana.
