Hope you guys don't mind the little joke, it's not to rub it in your faces I promise. *Just for clarification: the "two weeks" was a joke, absolutely has nothing to do with a timeline for release* *Q: Why does a small youtuber have the module?* *A: I have been helping Razbam with the mirage tutorials to push out actual useful information to the community. They approached me and told me I'm a good dude and will do the F-15E right. This video should show that. Just because I don't chase views doesn't mean I'm a nobody.* For this video I used the provided manual, made my own notes and had Notso(SME) check it out and he gave his input. It ended up being 40 steps overall I'll be pushing out videos as I continue to dive into the manual that way I can push out accurate information and no nonsense just trying to cash in on the hype train. Please remember this is a pre-release module and things will most likely change a dozen times so don't take any of the Strike Eagle content all over TH-cam as "official" guides.
Excellent ! The best and most useful video covering the F-15E Strike Eagle Cold Start on the internet. A lot more to learn once the module is released by RAZBAM Simuations. In the meanwhile we can fly the Mirage 2000C and AV8-B Harrier while we wait for release. Great work ! Cheers ! Thank you for sharing !
thaaaaank you for the yellow boxes for some reason the cursor cross is black ----- cannot see! (very difficult to see) the boxes help immensely good idea
The black cursor is a recent thing since a few patches. I think it's so ED can tell if someone is streaming by seeing a green mouse. Vs a recording with a black mouse.
I didn't have the patience to see half an hour tutorials on startup around. Thanks for this. For what you've seeing, do you think it might take several months to finish it or it's really close?
i've got a question @ 9:38 ---- "yaw rate" is that an error? to be fixed in the final release version? its saying "yaw rate" but you aren't yawing around all you're doing is setting TO trim what gives?
So the audible warning is just to let you know it's on. Maybe in real life the pilot holds it down and if they are looking elsewhere they know when to let go because of the warning. What happens when you press it thought that it drives the stick and rudder pedals to the takeoff position which, in turn, drives the aileron, rudder and stabilator actuators to the takeoff position. The T/O trim light then comes on.
I'm just following the manual and SME feedback. If you're talking about the fire tests. Each test is at different stages. 1) JFS turned on 2) #2 engine started 3) both engines started giving the system a more in-depth bit test as both engines are now on
because its to show the community the whole module with the most realistic startup that every F15E pilot/wso do... you dont want the tests ; just skip 5 seconds forward.
@@fastfedwhen you start a jet you want to make sure the fire detection system is working since the engine itself can have a hot start and or an engine fire. So knowing that you are in fact on fire is a handy tool.

@@hiei5040 Ahh I see what's going on. You must be from the F-15E razbam chat that feels entitled because you pre-ordered. If it makes you feel better I pre-ordered 4 of them. Did you guys catch the other little joke?
@@TomP-148 -- "only" 30mins??
The Mirage tutorials lifesaver
Glad you got included in the preview! well deserved, your tutorials are a great help.
EXACTLY what I wanted - done correctly and not 30 fucking minutes long. Can't believe the only other option is GR, thank you so much for making this.
Excellent video Tom, no nonsense, no overcommentary just to hear your own voice. Love this.
best !! tutorial so far easy and clean . love those yellow square you use for explanation .. really happy with this one .. thanks !!
Glad they are giving the little guys a chance to show case this bird. Nice tutorial on cold start

Question, do you actually have to go through the fire testings?!

I think it's pretty close. Most of the little issues I have found have already been reported to the team are in the works.
I'd say probably about two weeks

you literally HAVE to do those silly no point tests? really? that would be stupid as no other module requires it
