    Hi! I bought the switch controller but i can't make it work with final. It works well in yuzu with the last game. The converter program show the controller working. But when I open final and try to use in game, nothing happens. Your feedback would be appreciated.

      Hi there. Have you tried selecting the other version of "Final" in the software? There should be 2 versions: Standard and Authentic. I think Standard is the one you should use if you've dl'ed the game online. Oh and try restarting the game... Hope that helps somehow ^^' let me know

      @@rcvalkyrie I found the solution! As my windows is in english, the japanese text was displaying as gibberish. So i followed these instructions to fix that and problem solved.
      Posting it if someone has the same problem:
      Check to make sure you have Japanese set as your language for non-unicode programs
      1) Open Control Panel
      2) Go to "Clock and Region" and click "Region"
      3) Go to the "Administrative" tab in the box that shows up
      4) Press "Change System Locale" and select "Japanese (Japan)" from the drop-down menu.
      Important thing here: make sure the box that says "Beta: Use Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support" is UNCHECKED, this causes a heap of problems for programs and files that just cause them to appear strange or incorrectly. Upon unchecking this, the problems I was having with programs and files disappeared entirely, and I was able to use everything correctly again.

I was trying yesterday to install Kisha de Go without success and I don't know if the game is too old for new pc's or I'm doing something bad (installing japanese games without japanese text it's confusing) Thanks for your future answer. For those that are seeing changes in the program that look right, but nothing happens when you play the game, here are the instructions to fix that. Pull up the start menu and search for Language Settings. Click on the Administrative language settings on the right, select the Administrative tab, and click on the Change system locale... button. Switch the Current system locale to "Japanese (Japan)". This will update the text for the game (which you can see at the top when you run the game in windowed mode) to be Japanese characters, versus random Unicode characters. This program will only work if those characters are the Japanese characters. If they are Unicode characters, this program will look like it should be working, but there is no response in the game itself.

      Hey thanks this really helped me!! Now I'm having a different problem, which is when I use the Zuiki controller and start to accelerate, if I'm setting the lever anywhere between the minimum and maximum jumps between the two closest levels rapidly and within a few seconds I fail out for dangerous driving... It's almost like it's reading the lever position as being caught between two positions even though it reads properly on the converter window. Has anyone experienced anything like this?

      Nevermind I figured out my issue! I was using the "Type B" control scheme when I was playing with keyboard, I had to switch it back to Type A for it to work properly!

    Hmm... I don't get it. I can't make the Switch Controller behave right in Final (PC). The handle keeps behaving like a controller stick that pushes the speed setting up and down, like you just flicked the stick up or down, instead of "holding" its position like it's supposed to. The converter doesn't have the Switch controller showing up as a compatible DdG controller in dgfncal/dgfnexec either (the difference of which eludes me to this day, by the way), and I don't know if it's actually supposed to. Also, what's that config screen at 5:05? Where did that come from?

    A little question - I have a one handle controller (tcpp-20001) connected to PC via arduino leonardo. What a settings I need to use in software for make it usable in DDG(main question is N1,SL,N2,ST and etc setting)?

      Nevermind, find a way how to make it recognizable by converter. Next problem is very strange - converter is recognize all axis and buttons but it just dont work in DDG:F. And brake pressure gauge also dont work.

      @@jnr231 Hi Thanks for dropping by. Actually, I'm not pretty confident that I could explain this clearly, but I'll try...
      If you are using Eddie Lau's arduino code, you'll see somewhere in that code that there is a ".setButton" with values or something (im not a programmer 😅). You will need to remap the buttons based on the layout displayed on the denconv software.. If I remember clearly, you will need to replace button number on the directional keys, so thats 17, 18, 19, 20 (assuming the code is set for 24 buttons). You will need to change that to the available buttons in the drop down menu. I think what you'll need change there is for M2 and M3, so just look for a number that will represent your LEFT and RIGHT keys as those where the recognizable buttons for the classic DDG controller. You can remove the up and down buttons as those aren't useable. The N1-to-N4 are the shoulder buttons, so basing on the Playstation Controller, thats buttons 5,6,7,8 (those are for the Break). ST and SL are the start and select buttons (buttons 9 and 10 respectively). And M1 is for the TRIANGLE button (therefore, the throttle in the DDG controller uses Left, Right and Triangle buttons simultaneously, whether it is the One or Two Handle versions). If everything is configured correctly, the indicators for 98, 99, 88, 89... and the directional buttons 101 to 104 will reset to the center and you can test the controller properly.
      Autotraintas mentioned that the converter is based on the 14-button layout of the classic Playstation controller (no analog sticks), so um I think in the code, you need to change the "buttonCount" to 14 buttons, then remap buttons that are after 14.. But that's up to you.
      Here is mine, btw if it helps.
      usbStick.setButton (0, data & psxTri ? 1 : 0);
      usbStick.setButton (1, data & psxO ? 1 : 0);
      usbStick.setButton (2, data & psxX ? 1 : 0);
      usbStick.setButton (3, data & psxSqu ? 1 : 0);
      // triggers
      usbStick.setButton (4, data & psxL1 ? 1 : 0);
      usbStick.setButton (5, data & psxR1 ? 1 : 0);
      usbStick.setButton (6, data & psxL2 ? 1 : 0);
      usbStick.setButton (7, data & psxR2 ? 1 : 0);
      //start select
      usbStick.setButton (8, data & psxSlct ? 1 : 0);
      usbStick.setButton (9, data & psxStrt ? 1 : 0);
      //directional
      usbStick.setButton (10, data & psxLeft ? 1 : 0);
      usbStick.setButton (11, data & psxRight ? 1 : 0);
      Then here's autotraintas's description of the converter using the playstation button layout.
      twitter.com/autotraintas/status/1387418824970956805/photo/1
      Do comment if you have questions. I'll try to post a video when I have the time if that helps too, hope you get it to work!! TY and happy gaming ;)

       @rcvalkyrie Okay, after some adjustments and reinstalling DDG - it work perfectly (test it in Final and Ryojo-hen). Thank you for help!
      PS. Interesting thing - ZKNS-00X mode can be usable and for TCPP-20001 (and i think for two handle controller) via PPJoy virtual joystick (and some code in GlovePIE).
      UPD. I change name and icon on my account (for some purposes), dont be surprised about this (it still me).

    Hi there! Thanks for showcasing this program in the video :)
    I wanted to ask you: how good, in your opinion, is this one handle controller?
    I’m just getting into DDG and train sims and I would really love to get one of these, but importing prices are a real concern, especially here in Brazil… so, there is a local seller offering me one of these, inside the box and also with copies for DDG 1, 2 and Pro for a fairly reasonable price.
    It would be the easiest route for me to get one of these controllers, but I’ve always been kinda uncertain with this single handle one… I’ve started playing train sims with Japanese Rail Sim on the 3DS, so having separate handles for the master control and braking seems more natural and comfortable to me, but seeing how even modern controllers like the Zuiki one have adopted this control scheme, it got me wondering if it’s really worse or just a product of my imagination 😅
    Thanks in advance, and keep up the good work! This is a community I’m really getting fond of, and content creators like you have been effortlessly keeping me interested in these games. :)

    Hi rcvalkyrie and hi everyone!
    Well I have the swtich controller and I found the same problem as Mauricio Arthur but I tried (separetely and together) localization and a region locale program but without results, the games are very well installed except the 3. The old Densha de Go recognize the controller but you cannot use the brake (surely because the break and Mascon where separeted and where used with the DGOC 44 controller), and for FINAL I try to use the same config as you show and try different things but the controller is not even recognize. So some questions come into my mind: What I missed in order to make it work? This program let you emulate de DGOC 44 with Zuiki controller? Which game you can play with the Zuiki controller? All the help would be apreciated. Thanks for your time.

    Hi rcvalkyrie! That's a very interesting video!
    I am trying to get the zuiki controller to work on the ps4 densha de go yamanotesen hen. Do you think it's possible to translate the controls with an arduino board?
    Oh and the densha de go final looks really nice. I didn't know there was a windows version, so i used ps2 emulation and i got the controller working only by using the emulators own layout options.

    • @rcvalkyrie
      @rcvalkyrie  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Sir thanks for the comment! Sadly, I'm not really good at Arduino I'm just guessing codes xD so couldn't answer whether or not it will work with the zuiki controller with Arduino alone... Maybe by using a USB host shield... but then again we're stuck at the coding. You could use the Titan console tuner if you can invest for it as you can use that with any controller you could think of. Another option would probably be by the use of RemotePlay and VDX software which converts a 3rd party controller to a DS4 controller... But obviously you will need to turn on your PC while playing with your PS4... Which is kinda inconvenient and consumes electricity😆 lol.
      And yeah I just got the software by chance in a Japanese surplus shop, I didn't know what it was at first 😅. Just glad I was able to do research for that. I owe it to the internet too xD

      Sure, thank you for watching my video. You can start here and download the software autotraintas.hariko.com/denconv3.01.zip get the latest version since that one has an English translation, so you can find the game you want to use with the software properly.
      You need to run this software while or before playing the game, then select which version of densha de go you are running in the "select game" box. Say, you want to play Sanyo Shinkansen-hen, Select Shinkansen-standard (if you're using a patched game) or Authentic (which runs with the CD, I think). Actually, you will have to explore the menus a little until you are able to get the software to work with your preferred game 😅.
      The "device no." box is where you will need to select which port your controller is plugged in--You can tell when the indicators act up a little. While "convert type" has the list of controller types you are using. Example, if you are using the classic two-handle controller, select PS1/N64/SS/DC; for the shinkansen controller, select PS2USB... and so on.
      For the converters, though, you will need a PlayStation to PC USB adapter. If you have the Buffalo BGCUPS201 or Elecom JC-PS101U brand, it will be easier since the software is programmed to work for those types of adapters. It should also work with Arduino, however, you need to make a few changes with the code to work along with the button layout of this software. The code is in the description of this video xD I'm not really good at it so I tried messing up with the code until it works... But anyway, hope this helps even a bit though :) Many thanks and enjoy sir.
      And yea still looking for a ryojohen controller. But I do not have the budget at this time... Maybe wait for christmas again xD

      @@jamesdoe4281 hi there. They did specify a brand for the ps/usb adapter. I'm really not sure if you can use anything other than those brands. I have a generic adapter, but it doesn't work with the software (only the buttons work as well), you really have to be lucky if you get an adapter that works with it, I guess. But if that really doesn't work, your best bet is to buy an arduino leonardo and get the code for the PS1 Densha de GO - to - USB converter. Also, you don't need to setup the controls in the game config itself, the mascon should work with the software on the onset :) I hope this makes sense... and hope it helps too, thankies!!

    Hello there, I started my Densha de Go journey and wanted to connect my different controllers on my PC like you did on your video. I have an issue with the PS2 USB controllers (Shinkansen/Ryojo Hen). When I connect them on the PC I get the typical sound that you get when you plug an USB device but then nothing (I think originally I had an error message stating that the USB device isn't correctly installed, but not anymore after having done many tries), I can find them with "joy.cpl" and the magnificent DenConv program can't detect them either... Has anyone ever face the same issue and have found a solution? Is there a specific PC/USB driver I should know about for the controllers to be detected? Any Help would be highly appreciated! Thanks rcvalkyrie for your Wonderfull Video it inspired me a lot!

    • @rcvalkyrie
      @rcvalkyrie  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi sorry for the ultra late response but in case this hasn't been resolved yet, you will need the Taito Driver and the Zadig USB driver installation thingy so that the controller would be recognized as a "windows USB device" since it's installed initially as "libusb" driver.
