I have to agree. When he plays, his soul pours out onto the strings. So many men I talk to do not like his attitude. They say he plays with no feelings. I really think he is so talented that he makes it look easy. He plays with so much passion. I get chills up and down my spine when his fingers touch the strings. Hope he tours forever. I had front row tickets for his stop in Clearwater last year. Even booked a hotel for the night. Covid. My birthday present was taken away. I can watch him play in videos. Rock on Yngwie.🤘🏻🎸

New Year's eve 86, this guy opened for Dio and he was throwing his guitar in the air, catching it and playing like he wasn't missing a beat. Slinging the thing around and shredding in a way I had never seen ANY guitar player ever play. I was a believer. The guy was HUGE and had fingers like 8 inches long just whaling away. I was convinced that the thing was part of his arms
I had the pleasure of meeting Mr Malmsteen in Toronto 2016, and he was kind enough to take a picture with me and sign my acoustic guitar.
He is not only a master of music, but a very kind hearted person as well.

He's not just mindlessly shredding for the sake of it, there's so much more to it..not a display of only skill but emotions too that makes it such a pleasure not only for the ear but goes to the heart. I usually end up watching this video a few times on repeat whenever I bump into it. Truly a master.

He is in a class by himself. Period!his classical approach to playing makes him unique. I don't care how arrogant you think he is he deserves to be arrogant. There are many amazing guitar players out there but none are as truly great as yngwie malmsteen!
So unless you play the guitar you don’t realize how difficult this is what he’s doing and you don’t understand the theory behind it. He has to have been part born with this natural ability to understand what is musical and then the thousands of hours of practice it takes to do that. Truly amazing example of what is possible on a 6 string instrument. It’s the epitome of the art of playing the guitar. It is actually not possible to do it any better than that mechanically. Thank you Yngwie! You are huge inspiration!
