in case you didn't know about their background story, dreamcatcher was born from a failed group called minx which consisted of 5 dreamcatcher members. they were on the verge of completely disbanding but the company ceo saw that they could pull off any genre of music so he rolled the dice to redebut them as dreamcatcher. for a small company like happyface which right now it's pretty much only dreamcatcher bringing in money, this could have bankrupted them. what kept them going was a core of extremely dedicated fans(nearly all their fans are international) that grew slowly step by step. this is why many of dreamcatcher's lyrics are about never giving up on your dreams, hence the dual meaning of dreamcatcher - the nightmare warding talisman and to 'catch' your dreams. all their ballads are also dedicated and about their fans. the theme changed for the dystopia series which addressed the online 'dystopia' of social media. scream/boca are about internet hate. odd eye is about all the lies and falsehoods that exists in social media and how it can disillusion people , causing them to view reality with a false 'odd eye'. the mv is crazy but if you watch it with this in mind, it should all make sense.

Same here. I loved it from the highlight medley. Funnily enough, I wasn’t really feeling New Days when I heard it in the highlight medley, but then I heard the whole thing and it managed to beat out Poison Love xD.
Poison Love is easily my favorite B-side from this album, and definitely in my top 2 or 3 B-sides of all time from them. It's so goddamn good, I've left it on loop for hours at a time.
Their company was established by the duo who wrote Girl's Generation's Gee so they had connections and respect within the industry. They had some success with their gg DalShabet and hoped Minx would carry the momentum. When they redebuted their ceo said that they were going all in with Dreamcatcher and if he failed to make DC succeed he would sell the company and open a cucumber farm. So yes, they are 100% committed to Dreamcatcher :D

I agree that some of these small companies are doing it right for their flagship or only groups right out of the gate - Happy Face with Dreamcatcher, KQ with ATEEZ, cre.ker with The Boyz, E Entertainment with E'Last. I think with how increasingly competitive the industry is, they have to adopt the equivalent of dress for success or dress for the job you want, not the one you have. So basically act, look and sound like a hugely successful group from debut and people will be drawn to that and it'll become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

My god. You were right about poison love. You guys are also 100% right about nobody doing it like how Dreamcatcher does it! I also said this earlier today when I was talking to someone else about this comeback. We were basically sharing our opinions about it and also how well kinda mad we are that they have still not won a single award. People are seriously sleeping on them. There are some who are starting to wake up but when it comes to streaming and voting it's like where is everyone? But it's okay. I'm certain that we will at some point get that win that we've been waiting for. I really wish it would be for this comeback though, because they just literally came back harder than ever. My god. You were right about poison love. You guys are also 100% right about nobody doing it like how Dreamcatcher does it! I also said this earlier today when I was talking to someone else about this comeback. We were basically sharing our opinions about it and also how well kinda mad we are that they have still not won a single award. People are seriously sleeping on them. There are some who are starting to wake up but when it comes to streaming and voting it's like where is everyone? But it's okay. I'm certain that we will at some point get that win that we've been waiting for. I really wish it would be for this comeback though, because they just literally came back harder than ever. I mean they always come back hard and I'm probably repeating myself as well but seriously this comeback would have been perfect for them to get their first win. Especially since we just got Handong back. 💞 I like y'all though just from watching this one reaction I like y'all already. xD I also died from Siyeon's surprise short blonde hair! I never watch any teasers or pictures or anything I just watch the MV the day it comes out so when I saw her, well...y'all can probably imagine. I literally paused the MV for her. I almost NEVER pause an MV because for me it's like kinda ruining my reaction...but my head literally blew up when I saw her she literally went through a whole transformation I mean literally! Like we just saw her from a comeback not that long ago with long blue hair and you're gonna all of a sudden chop it and go blonde and she KILLED the look!!!! 😍💞💞💞 Especially with what she was wearing too!!! That orange fluffy coat thing whatever it was...My god she looks amazing in orange but she slayed...she's not even my bias but she legit wrecked me in just seconds..who gave her the right???

Poison Love is soooo good, though I wouldn't say I like it quite as much as Kay does :P I think What and You & I will always be my favourite Dreamcatcher songs, but Poison Love is high on the list.
