      Definitely agree, but not too surprising considering the interviewer is the youngest self-made billionaire. Also, looked at his linked in and he was taking hard graduate courses at MIT in his first or second year before dropping out. Forbes did a pice on him, pretty interesting.

    Excellent interview, i do love watching interviews like this. If repetitive tasks & tasks that doesn't require human intelligence works gone, the only remaining job will be major decison making ones. As they say world should end the working pattern of 9-5, it's not the way to lead a peaceful life. He also mentioned universal basic income, i think that's the future.

    In the video, you mentioned that OpenAI has a plan to achieve artificial general intelligence (AGI) and that the organization values talent and focus in its team building. Could you provide more detail on how OpenAI approaches the pursuit of AGI and how the team's diverse skills and interests contribute to this goal?

      @@calvinsylveste8474 What's the purpose of life? I've spent so much time learning to code and coding, but I believe in 20-30 years all of that garbage code we as humans write will become absolutely irrelevant. We'll probably have github autopilot instead of copilot by then. Interpersonal work will probably still exist, but I don't wanna be a nanny or a nurse, or whatever - that's just not my thing. I'd prefer to be dumb and watch tiktok videos all day - I think I would've been less unhappy overall.

      The answer to this question is difficult to ascertain. Some possible explanations could include that the tik tok videos are more entertaining or shareable, or that they are better optimized for search engines. It is also possible that the tik tok videos have a larger target audience.

    Regarding bias in datasets. Can we train an AI to identify bias? -- and so it can self protect from bias.

    • @marionharris5952

      Dang. That’s Next level

    • @mohammadsultan935
      @mohammadsultan935 ปีที่แล้ว

      Would be tough because AI isn't always biased because it's mimicking human decision-making. Often, it's biased because it genuinely performs better when it is. So you actually need to reduce the performance in order to eliminate bias.

    • @harrisjm62
      @harrisjm62 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So yes, we likely could train it to identify "biases", but there may already be an underlying issue in how we are defining a "bias". Any cognitive work that isn't always perfect could be said to have a "bias" and the reality is that it'll never be perfect.

    I am already considering the soul of an A.I. and how that would look and be like. An ephemereal personality that changes, goes through stages of evolution, to become what a human becomes, through the very same process, except in a much shorter time. In reality, we're only in the beginnings of creating such a being. We're just developing the brain, still, which may or may not be the final location of our personalities in the first place. And at last, are we creating models for earnings, or models for learning? Because that will dictate how fast we get to the soul. A model for earning does not need a soul, a model for learning does need a soul in the end, otherwise it's just a glorified database and querying system. Good conversation otherwise.

    It's such a curiosity that these tech vanguards are iconically stuck in a secular silo. To use the brilliance of all the "best people", as he puts it, and reduce the citizenry to Marxist sludge is not a brilliant end game.
    His silo includes sophistry about reality, again, proving there is no virtue in his silo - borderline sociopathic. His ilk wants Technocracy, an Authoritarian leadership.
    Disappointing to see such magnificent technology have the vision derived from a shallow pool.
