NOTE ON TRESS: you don’t have to have read any of the other books to understand the plot and what’s happening but one of the main characters is a major part of the cosmere and knowing him pre read enhances your experience. Also, if you didn’t know, tress was a gift to Brandon’s wife and is based on the princess bride, which is why there’s a narrator + other nods to the princess bride as well like her red coat and blonde hair etc etc. (Also the “not deep silly” vibes you felt !!) I’m in love with this book as well

I just finished this summer will be different, I was crying at the end 😂 I rated it 5 stars because I feel like you've got to be invested in the characters for it to illicit any kind of emotion for you but ugh I loved it ❤
I love watching people smile about Tress of the Emerald Sea. I read that a few months ago and it got me out of a huge reading slump. It’s honestly one of my favorite books of this year. The Princess Bride vibes, humor, and the quirkiness of the characters/plot were perfect!
So glad you finally read Ruthless Vows! I loved it I think some people were just expecting more romance but I honestly love the action/war stuff

I'm a Carley Fortune fangirl and every single book she's released so far was a 5 star read for me but I get why they can be polarizing, especially Every Summer After. TSWBD was so lovely, bittersweet, nostalgic and beautiful for me, I absolutely loved every single page and cried a lot, too.

Elements of Cadence was so beautifully written and highly recommend! It is slower pace but it never feels like it drags on and the world gives outlander Scottish highland vibes!
I’ve read all of Rebecca Ross’s other books and they are amazing!! A River Enchanted, Dreams Lie Beneath and Sisters of Sword and Song are all five stars-they are so good! If you like cozy fantasy, you’d probably really like A River Enchanted! 🌟
I highly recommend Warbreaker from Brandon Sanderson’s Cosmere. It’s my fave book!!!!

I read A River Enchanted by Rebecca Ross the other day, and though it was a slow start, it was SUCH a good read! I would say that her writing is beautiful throughout, and I love this series because she actually includes a lot of plot elements rather than simply focusing on the romance

i read a river enchanted by rebecca ross and LOVED it. the writing and world was beautiful, it’s also a slow burn but focuses a lot on the world and politics as well.

i think you would like a river enchanted by rebecca ross! its very different from divine rivals, its adult fantasy and feels kind of fairy-tale/cozy fantasy-esque to me! the writing is so beautiful and lyrical and whimsical. both books in the duology were 5 starts for me
i recommend dream lie beneath by rebecca ross if you want something great off her backlist!! its a ya standalone, such cosy yet beautiful writing with the cutest romance sideplot aswell!!

Elements of Cadence (A River Enchanted/A Fire Endless) by Rebecca Ross is SO GOOD! It's another fantasy duology with a unique island setting and interesting magic system involving spirits. Highly recommend!

I read the queens rising duology by Rebecca Ross and the writing was just as beautiful, I really enjoyed them! The fantasy world was really good and the romance 👌. I gave them both a 4.5 only because they weren't new favourites but they definitely were 5 star reads in many ways

If you want another Rebecca Ross book to read I recommend checking out Sister’s of Sword and Song. It was so good imo! Not as good as Divine Rivals but a solid book!
I don’t know if you know but Tress is based on The Princess Bride, so if you have neither seen nor read it I would suggest you do with the reactions you are giving for Tress.
