  • While at the studio with their K Records contract and with drummers filling in for demo recordings in mid January, Krist and Kurt start working together on new songs, working on improving their material after learning their mistakes and making an album better than Sheep and something more produced like Bleach was but with a noise rock and acoustic edge to it. A few drummers are considered to be the band's permanent drummer, those being Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine, Matt Cameron of Soundgarden, Joe Daniels of Local H, and a female drummer Kim Pine (feel free to laugh at this shit. I inserted a fictional character from a well-known comic in here for shit and giggles lol. Doesn't mean she's the same person, just looks like her ig idk). Kurt and Krist decide on Kim to become the band's new drummer after Chad Channing had left for Dave Grohl's solo project. Kurt sees potential in 22 year old Kim's musical ability, even though she wasn't part of a notable act or any at all, but is excellent at playing live shows, playing drums, and writing material for the band to put on their album.
The band is offered a gig at the Crocodile Cafe on February 18, 1992 to play songs under the name Nirvana once again, with Kim Pine making her live debut for the band.
Kurt Cobain relapses on heroin and pills the day the show is meant to take place and is rushed to a hospital, where he reawakens three days later with Kim at his bedside and Krist at his home angry at him for doing copious amounts of drugs before their first show as Nirvana in over a couple years. Kim Pine and Kurt start knowing each other more during the hospital visit, with Kim gradually becoming interested in Kurt and becoming close friends days afterwards, which would eventually lead to the pair dating only a few weeks later and leading to Tobi Vail angrily breaking up with Kurt after finding out that he had been seeing other people.
To make up for Cobain's relapse on the 18th, Krist Novoselic asks if the performance could be moved to February 28th, to which the booker of the show allows it to happen. Krist cools down a bit and drives Kurt to a sober living home in Aberdeen, Washington to receive treatment for his addiction and return to the group as a whole in a better condition than previously. Kurt would stay at the home for only a week and receives a couple visits from Kim Pine and Krist Novoselic, the latter he has to lie to about making progress on limiting his drug usage and using medication he had got from an addiction counselor to get him off heroin. These lies are partially true, as Cobain had been in a period of sobriety for the past few or so days and only occasionally taking the medicine prescribed to him, but has been struggling at the sober living facility behind the scenes and constantly feeling the urge to go back to doing drugs.
Despite this, Kim had secretly been doing heroin and cocaine with Dylan Carlson and Kim near the facility where they wouldn't be seen, often making excuses to staff to smoke some cigarettes or get fresh air. They would not give Krist Novoselic any information whatsoever about secretly doing drugs during Kurt Cobain's week at the sober living home, keeping a low profile and keeping this a secret so he could go back to making music with the band sooner. He is released from rehab on the 28th after a week of sobriety with none of the staff suspecting that Kurt had secretly done drugs with a group of friends not too far away. After receiving the news that the show at the Crocodile had been rescheduled, Kurt and Krist go to a local bar to have a drink and celebrate "getting off heroin" and upcoming the rescheduled Crocodile Cafe gig. It is around this time that Kim Pine starts to develop a short romantic relationship with Mark Lanegan of the Screaming Trees, who isn't too fond of her as stated in an interview some time later and calls off the relationship days later without a word said.
Nirvana would perform at the Crocodile on February 28th as rescheduled and gives fans a glimpse into some songs on Serve the Servants, including an acoustic song recorded before the album called "I Think I'm Dumb" which is one of the other songs planned to be featured on the album. Kim Pine is arrested for drug possession two days after the show, being charged with heroin possession with intent to sell and faces a few months in prison as a result. Despite this, Cobain and Pine start a romantic relationship from behind bars together and write a song for Kurt titled "Guns" along with guitar notes from Lanegan (who is still friends with Kim Pine) to go with the song to be put on Serve the Servants.

Storyline bonus: Also, during the argument with Krist in 1992 Kurt claims that another visit to yet another rehabilitation center would only worsen his issue and that would get "better" himself. He too wants to distance himself from heroin but doesn't know how it would work out for him or his girlfriend, basically giving up partially at this point

And yes, for the love of god please read the description before you comment that this is fake lol, you will have some context there. Of course it is and it's an alternate history where Kurt Cobain never dies that I had made up, but I use mostly real songs and some recordings from live performances

Story part 2: It is believed that Dave had visited Kim and Kurt's home in 1997 to record a couple demo songs, with one alleged recording seeming to have surfaced under the title Blue Sun. Other than that, no other musical projects were worked on by Kurt Cobain nor Kim Pine from 1997-2004, as they had remained focused on protecting their privacy and selling art for drug money secretly after some failed attempts to become sober

Despite this, Cobain and Pine start a romantic relationship from behind bars together and write a song for Kurt titled "Guns" along with guitar notes from Lanegan (who is still friends with Kim Pine) to go with the song to be put on Serve the Servants.
Tobi Vail, having not spent time with Kurt Cobain in a while, learns of him and Kim's relationship in March 1992 thanks to a conversation between him and Krist about her at a jam session at Robert Lang Studios. She storms in and a big argument ensues between Kurt and Tobi, ending with Krist and producer Jack Endino (who was producer on Bleach, forgot to mention) breaking up the fight and Cobain stating that he doesn't need Tobi in his life and that he has Kim now. Tobi and Kurt make it clear that they are through with each other.
Kurt Cobain would move out of the triplex apartment he had been living in for a few years in favor of buying a small house for over a thousand dollars in an old naval housing development in Aberdeen where his new girlfriend would live with the musician after being released from prison in April. In an interview with an underground music radio show, Kurt Cobain would publicly announce that he and Kim are indeed dating. The pair return to studio sessions with Krist Novoselic. Kurt Cobain would call up former member of the Germs Pat Smear to see if he would be interested in being the group's rhythm guitarist to add more noise to Serve the Servants, having not been involved with any musical projects as of late. Pat accepts the offer.
Kurt Cobain would also re-record a song that had already been recorded, "Weirdo", while Kurt would keep the original versions of “Blathers Log”, "Return of the Rat", and “Love My Family” on the album (“Return of the Rat is this universe’s version of “Radio Friendly Unit Shifter” since they sound similar). Since Kurt never meets Courtney Love in this timeline and never has Frances and so on, "Heart-Shaped Box" would not exist and the solo would be used for “Guns”, all with Krist, Kim, and Pat. Dave Grohl calls up Kurt around this time to give him some guitar work to do as the band is on hold for the time being, wanting to add extra noise to the album alongside Pat Smear. Pat himself puts his song “Golden Boys” on the album in honor of his deceased bandmate Darby Crash, who had taken his own life in 1980.
As production for Serve the Servants comes to a close, Cobain's overall mental health would get the best of him due to the struggles of addiction and remaining creatively active as a musician, seeing Nirvana as a flop in recent years. In September 1992, Kurt and Krist would get into an hour's long argument at the Cobain estate about canceling their upcoming album, as well as him wanting Kurt to break up with Kim and get sober. Cobain and Pine respond to this by abruptly kicking Krist from the house and calling it quits with Nirvana just a week later, with Serve the Servants being the last Nirvana album to ever be released. It is released on February 13, 1993 to mostly the same reception that Sheep had received in 1990 when the band was going through hard times. Ties between the remaining Nirvana bandmates would be cut completely by the couple around this time as well, starting to live a private life away from the underground rock scene and the Seattle sound altogether. Very little comes out about Cobain and Kim's whereabouts, with the news coming out that the pair had a child together allegedly that was taken by police to a foster home due to poor living conditions, which can be seen in rare photographs taken during Cobain and Kim's final years alive. Art had been their only career ever since leaving the music scene, releasing art under the alias Mr and Mrs Pixie, releasing their work on their own official website with their identities remaining a secret until after Kim's death. Kurt Cobain would eventually die of a heroin overdose on December 21, 2002 and Nirvana would start becoming mainstream right after his death as opposed to the 1990s. Kim Pine refuses to acknowledge her boyfriend's former band's popularity rising and refuses interviews about her boyfriend's legacy, also dying of an overdose in 2004 at a halfway house for recovering addicts.
Before the events that would happen between 2002 and 2004, Krist Novoselic explores his interest in punk rock by forming a new band called Sweet 75 with Pat, releasing their debut self-titled album in 1994. Pat Smear also becomes involved in the Foo Fighters' upcoming album (this is TDGP's newly decided name), further expanding Dave's musical career and growing his band by becoming a member on the side. On July 4, 1995, Dave Grohl releases the third album with his band now known as the Foo Fighters, a self-titled album, coming after 1993's Beneath the Surface. The album features Grohl experimenting with a more alternative and less punk rock sound on some of the tracks, which could be heard in songs like “Doll,” “February Stars,” and “Everlong” (which are released a couple years earlier instead of 1997). The album receives positive reviews, solidifying Grohl's reputation as a prominent figure in the growing grunge music scene. Even though Kurt had cut off ties with the rest of his bandmate along with his girlfriend, Dave Grohl asks Cobain on a few different occasions if he would like to jam with him and write new songs. It hasn't been stated whether or not these recordings had taken place or have been recorded
