I have been lucky enough to visit there on two seperate occasions. Very moving!
We often hear about the people who gave their lives but it was seeing the many lists of lost souls that really drove it home for me!
People around the world are currently protesting about the inconveniences of the lock downs but that is nothing compared to surviving a war!
    Regards from New Zealand.

They died trying to prevent the sort of travesty we are experiencing with these “lockdowns” Trying to justify these circumstances is denial.

The USS Missouri was commissioned during World War II and fought in a number of battles. She sailed into Tokyo Bay in September '45 to receive the Japanese delegation who would sign the papers for unconditional surrender. Missouri was mothballed & reactivated over the post WWII years, last serving in Desert Storm. She is book-ended with Arizona as symbols of the beginning and the end of the greatest war in history.

My first ship, the USS John C. Brewton, FF1086, was home ported there. The Arizona Memorial was visible from our berth. It was a constant reminder that "Freedom is not Free". Fair winds and Following Seas Shipmates! BTW, who thought it would be a good idea for the red circular tour boat signs to appear so similar to the Japanese rising sun?

April 8, 2019-- I have been to Pearl Harbor Hawaii back in the year of 1992. Hawaii is a beautiful island and beautiful people there... I would loved to go back and visit Hawaii...
I loved how Hawaiian people saying "Aloha" makes me smile... I love how Hawaiians greet greeters the tradition...
Today April 8, 2019... I have ordered state of Hawaiian flag last week from Amazon.. it came in the mail today... I opened my mail and my state Hawaiian flag came and I quickly hung my flag on the wall....
I said it to myself... "What a beautiful flag." "Some day I would love to go back and visit there again."
I live in Panama City Beach Florida now.. God bless all those soldiers who died in Pearl Harbor Hawaii December 7, 1941... R.I.P. soldiers in Pearl Harbor...

I had a friend whom was being stationed in Hawaii in the army during the Vietnam war in the early 70s around the yrs 1971 and 72 AND guess what? He went AWOL ( I say I had a friend because he got killed on a motorcycle back in 2000 ) BUT who in their right mind would want to go AWOL if they were station in Hawaii AND he told me he was not going to have to see any war time in Vietnan! Hell IF it would of been me I would of tried to figure out how to be able to stay on the Hawaii islands after doing my military time!

I was in Pearl Harbor 4 years ago and to my surprise I found out Obama had all the American flags removed so it did not offend any foreigners from other countries mainly Muslims !! I was pissed 😡 and I let the island commander’s know it!” I don’t know how far it went but I tried anyway.”
