When I was a child, whenever it rained my mum would wake my brother, sister and me up (my dad worked night),turn off all the lights and turn the sofa to face the windows. We would all sit there with hot chocolate and listen to the storm while waiting to see the lightning, we lived on a hill and could see for miles. We all grew up to absolutely love thunderstorms and do similar things with our children.
To anybody who's reading this, I pray that whatever is hurting you or whatever you are constantly stressing about gets better. May the dark thoughts, the overthinking, and the doubt exit your mind. May clarity replace confusion. May peace and calmness fill your life.
Fun fact: the sound of rain is soothing to us because natural predators tend to avoid hunting during the rain, and humans have evolved to associate the sound of rain with safety from these predators.
I have lived with anxiety my entire life. My only, and I mean only, moment of relaxation and comfort would be when it is raining/storming. This explains a lot.

I've listened to hundreds of rain videos at this point, and THIS one is by far my favorite. The right tone, right fireplace, right lightning, raindrops on the window are close to the correct size...everything about this video is just so pleasant.

Oh, is there thunder in this? I didn't see it in the description. Is it somewhere around about six hours in? So, actually, this is for sleeping for no more than six hours? I can do that. I don't like being woken up, by increased violence, mid sleep! I see somebody called 'dreamy sound' has got a bonfire in a tree-house. Somebody, tell 'dreamy sound' how actually alarming that is! It's not the scariest sound, ever, but it's getting up there. What you would hear if you were trapped up a burning tree .... Yeah. I'm sure such a soundtrack would have it's place. They actually called it , "It rains a lot - warm up with a bonfire in the tree-house'. Warm up? That tree, if it is indeed raining, is burning so hard that rain isn't quenching it. That fire trucks aren't already trying to put it out is horrifying. My guess is that it was already a little bit on fire when I climbed it. It had to be. Probably smoldering, unnoticed, for days. Have fun with this, people, but please try to remember that we are programmed (millennia of evolution) to have a fight/flight/freeze/fawn response to certain sounds. Being on fire is one of those sounds. Edit: I misread msmith. NO thunder, apparently! Phew.
As someone who goes outdoors alot and inherited my grandfather’s logcabin he built in 1979, I can truly say that peaceful aura this video gives is much limited. I know the feeling. Of sitting out on the porch, in the rain, just watching the raindrops fall. There is nothing like it. The only world you’re concerned about is your surroundings. Ahhhhhhh I miss the bush.

I suffer with severe tinnitus!! It is a horrible high pitched whistle in my left ear. Until 3 months ago, I didn't even know anything like this existed. For 3 months now, every day, every minute of every day, I have been hearing this sound in my ear! A friend told me about your app. so I decided to give it a try. Keeping in mind that I can't walk around with ear buds in my ears 24-7, the moment I get a chance I pull up one of your apps. and thank God and y'all for the relief it gives me. I have the same condition. "White noise" makes it 1000 times more tolerable. If I'm up and moving around, I have music on. If I am at the desk in my office, or in bed, it's white noise like this. I like gentle rain, rolling waves, creaking pirate ships in a stormy sea, or a babbling brook. (Warning on that last one.....I am a middle age male. Sometimes the babbling brook one makes me wake up a few times at night because it makes me have to pee. Fair warning. :-)
I keep coming back to this video, because I just love this porch scene. This simple scene is full of atmosphere and it further depicts a stress free uncomplicated life . Nothing opulent looking here, just a very very modest little family home . Its warm looking, safe looking and cosy looking in everyway . I would love to have a place like this where I could get together with family and dear friends and then suggest we sit on the porch and watch the rain . There is just a lovely ambience about this scene. I have a very close and dear friend who I have no doubt whatsoever would absolutely love this porch as much as I do . I have never shown her the videos I watch. That's going to change because I will be showing this one . She will flip. Speaking from experience.. if you had a cabin like this , you would never want to leave, BUT let me tell you the BEES and Hornets and ginormous spiders. From sunup until sundown the bees / hornets come out - no matter what you do! So we kind of wait for winter( now) then it’s sooooo quiet and like this video

Where I live the winter winds get strong and blow through my not so air tight windows. I love the howling sounds that the wind makes. It puts me to sleep. I hate to wake up and it has stopped blowing and whining. The rains never seem to last as long as I remember as a child, so having this to listen to is totally perfect for the soul. "I got up around 5 o'clock in the morning like I do every day & have done for 15 years,some mornings I wake up to the sun shining through the sky and I love that,some mornings its white with snow which I'm not fond of and others its like this with rain & storms.... I rather like rainy days but thunder and lightning not so much, its around five and I've made some coffee & I'm sitting out on the back porch,the lamplight shining since I don't live near anyone I don't have any complaints having my lights on this early........ The artwork is good guys. 3D very good. The steam is ongoing and not going away after eight hours. If the rain was coming down like this the leaves on the bushes would be bouncing around. There is not one single bug flying around. The flame is on the same loop and again after eight house it would change. The marks of the splashing on the floor the same. The sky has not changed or light or dark. Other things , but well done good work. Advanced stuff.

We had such a place to sit in my parents house in Bagdad, it was bigger and we sat with my father who loved looking at the rain and said very little. We could smell the nature, it was such a goed feeling. Thank you a lot !

This rain is the best rain on TH-cam. I love the porch I’ve always loved sitting on a porch in the rain it’s my favorite thing. the only thing I would like at night time is none of the lanterns so I can have a like a dark darker screen but be able to still see the porch. My fave

Where I live the winter winds get strong and blow through my not so air tight windows. I love the howling sounds that the wind makes. It puts me to sleep. I hate to wake up and it has stopped blowing and whining.
The rains never seem to last as long as I remember as a child, so having this to listen to is totally perfect for the soul. Love and sweet dreams to all!
They have blizzard scenery vids too with wind and with fireplaces etc. Check them out they're nice! I'm a FL gal so I LOVE rain!

I remember so many nights on my Nannies porch, watching it rain with my family. I'm older now, but would love to go back. (Nannie is what I call my mom's mother)
same for me too when i was young ,at my nana's house i would go into the bedroom and stand by the window just to watch it rain and see the puddle of water on the green grass ,i dont know why but to me it seemed so fresh the water i would want to drink it ,tap water just doesnt taste right

I wake up to the sun shining through the sky and I
love that,some mornings its white with snow which
I'm not fond of and others its like this with rain & storms....
I rather like rainy days but thunder and lightning not so much,
its around five and I've made some coffee & I'm sitting out on
the back porch,the lamplight shining since I don't live near anyone
I don't have any complaints having my lights on this early........
I just sit here no TV or radio on just the sound of the rain hitting
the ground or buildings,the clouds rolling by quickly and the wind making
whistling sounds,no matter what the weather is like i sit here for 2 to 3 hours
I only go inside for coffee refills,then around 8 I get dressed & spend the rest of the
day sitting around inside either reading,watching TV or surfing on the internet,
have some lunch and the onward until evening and every I sit on the front porch
drinking ice tea watching the rain falling on the front yard and the streets........
then as it gets late I go to bed and the next morning whether it be rain,snow,or sun
I'll be up and on the back porch with my coffee,its a routine i
will keep the rest of my life,well take care,Goodnight and GOD BLESS,THANKS."-

The artwork is good guys. 3D very good. The steam is ongoing and not going away after eight hours. If the rain was coming down like this the leaves on the bushes would be bouncing around. There is not one single bug flying around. The flame is on the same loop and again after eight house it would change. The marks of the splashing on the floor the same. The sky has not changed or light or dark. Other things , but well done good work. Advanced stuff.

깊은 낮잠을 자고 아무도 없는 저녁에 눈을 뜨면 그렇게 마음이 공허할 수가 없더라고요. 지금처럼요. 처마밑에서 비를 피하며 누군가를 떠올렸을 피스풀님의 앞날에는 추억에만 머무르지 않아도 되는 고운 시간들이 기다리고 있었으면 좋겠습니다. 저는 오늘도 뭐가 현실이고, 뭐가 꿈인지 구분되지 않는 하루였어요. 오늘 밤은 다시 잠에 들기 위해 피스풀님이 녹음해 올려주신 소리 밑에서 습관처럼 찾아오는 외로움을 피해 마음을 달래보아야겠네요. 제가 본 오늘이 언젠가 꿈에서 보았던 장면인 것만 같은데, 앞으로 다가올 시간은 어떨지 너무 캄캄하기만 해서 가슴이 먹먹하네요. 땅이 마르고 다시 비가 오듯, 우리 삶도 자연의 섭리대로 온전하게 제 길로 흘러갈 수 있길 기도하고 내일을 살아내기 위한 휴식에 다시 들어가 보아야겠네요. 가끔 들러 쉬었다 갑니다. 고맙습니다.
We had such a place to sit in my parents house in Bagdad, it was bigger and we sat with my father who loved looking at the rain and said very little. We could smell the nature, it was such a goed feeling. Thank you a lot !

빗소리가 이불마냥 온몸을 감싸주네요. 한국은 지금 초겨울이예요. 어두운 집에만 있으려니 우울해져서 동네 논길을 걸었네요. 햇볕이 너무나 따뜻하고 졸음이 쏟아지려하는데 또 바람이 휩쓸고 오는데 그 소리가 너무나 신비롭고 경이로웠어요. 눈에 보이지 않는 바람의 위력은 마른 나뭇잎과 풀들을 반짝이게 흔들었어요. ㅡ 빗소리도 촉촉하게 지면에 떨어지는 소리 좋아요.

This rain is the best rain on TH-cam. I love the porch I’ve always loved sitting on a porch in the rain it’s my favorite thing. the only thing I would like at night time is none of the lanterns so I can have a like a dark darker screen but be able to still see the porch. My fave
