The Norwegian leopard 1 for Sweden prob has to be my favourite, it may have a 105mm gun but it also has 408mm of pen and thermals also good rlly good manoeuvrability.
If you have the 1a5 I'd recommend trying that, spaded it's basically this thing with I think an extra degree or two of depression and slightly lighter. I think the reload is identical but it might possibly be quicker
The problem with 8.7 and 9.0 is the constant uptiers to 9.7 and with that drones, because od the sheer mass of players bringing russian premiums at 9.7
I have a suggestion for you, since you like the leopards try the type 74s in Japan. Pros: Good speed Great pen Hydronumatic suspension Decent survivability And great line ups Cons: Bad reverse Subpar depression (hydronumatic suspension makes up for it) Lack of thermals (unless you use the premium) And very tight crew placement
Leopard I lack of armour probably had something to do with designer thinking that HEAT round made thick armour obsolete. Leopard is fast, and agile but did not take hit well (tbf, unless you in Maus, anything 7.0 onwards one simple advice is don't get hit)
This thing is an absolute monster on long range maps, sitting out at 2-2.5km with those optics, turret down and popping out just to shoot. Well until you get hit by a drone or a su-25 xD

Excellent choice both of them. 2a4 is overall better but probably less fun because it´s at a higher tier. L44 was my first premium and I gotta say, back when it got added it was absolutely overpowered, literally only leo and XM1 had thermals. Even now it´s a legendary tank that I would still recommend. Absolute best 9.0, the God of glass cannons. Only downside is it gets uptiered a lot.
Just wanna say, Urban Combat IRL? Pain. Urban Combat in WT? Tbh, kinda fun, you gotta stay on your toes while there is always a massive fightclub in one area of the map usually, as my favorite Senator once said. It's flank or be flanked, Jack.

It's funny because it used to be a common practice to designate targets using machine gun tracers. But that's about as close as that is to real life haha
That's a tough question. I like certain parts of each nation's tech tree. E.g. I like the cold war era German and USA stuff but I prefer the WW2 British and Japanese stuff.
I use that for tanks without rangefinders mainly. Especially with laser rangefinders, it's just easier when you're already lining up for a shot (and the way I was trained too lol)

The 120mm DM13 feels like it spalls more and is more reliable at taking out tanks so I prefer the A1A1 L/44

"Dogfighting" with the Alouette is fun. As is having a duell with non-missile SPAA, dodging while the missile flies. Like it more than the UH.

Quick note you can turn your grass filter off in your settings as it definitely puts you at a disadvantage in tanks in war thunder.

Play SQUAD games but with tank, being a commander and command them. I would love to see bit of your real command tactics there.

That landing was perfect. Its harder to do that and survive, than to land the normal way. Others just have skill issues 🤣🤣🤣

You can actually use the binoculars to rangefind. Just fyi because you dont seem to use this mechanic
