You need to relocate the battery to the front axle. It will become more stable on the ground and will not tip over. By weighting the front axle it will be better off-road and climbing 👍. I have RGT EX86100 & EX86110 💪.
Hey good vid and nice looking truck. Are those portal axles actually any good because I've heard them to be bad but it appears here to be quite good. Btw do you lose or gain any steering with those portals compared to the stock axles???
Steel ftx drive shaft are crap I finally managed to shrink and fix them somehow, but I ended up using plastic immortal drive shaft back and the steel drive shaft to the front , also I moved battery to the front and removed the stupid sway bar now it's much better. The only drawback you cannot fix is the steering angle feels little adequate.
my ftx is now re boxed as a roller gathering dust , apparently 250 is too high a price to as even with steel portal axles fitted , i'd rather let it gather dust than sell it too cheap
@@theeviloneohyes I made a mistake to upgrade with metal parts and now there is no way to get my money back. It's not a bad truck though if you exclude the steering
@@theeviloneohyes what happens to the drive shafts? Do the pins snap behind the spiral lock rings? Or do they fall out? Heat shrink over the lock rings normally does a good job keeping them in place
@@darrennixon1986 i tried the heat shrink didn't make a difference , the hole which the pin goes into on the drive shaft just wore so fast , eventually the end of the shaft sheared off , the truck is now sitting in its box , gave up on it , its fixed now but no faith in it ,..
@@theeviloneohyes lower the ride height, reduce the driveshaft angle. Run slower, wears slower. Tilt the axle... use smaller tyres to reduce torque required. Or accept that stuff wesrs out, and needs to be replaced. It happens.
hey fellow Fury owner! loved the video - can you help? do the new axles run wider track than the old ones?
Many thanks, Carl 👍🍺🇬🇧

steering is about the same , the portals do work very well as they are metal they add a little more low down weight :)
@@theeviloneohyes cheers

Looks awesome!! Are the portal axles the official FTX ones?
yes they are mate , got them from a company called make it build it but they are distributed by cml
Little bit more weight under the front end and it'll be unstoppable, looks freaking awesome by the way love the fury 👍🏻👍🏻
sadly the prop shaft fell apart again struggling to find upgrades that fit , the steel ftx ones are pants ..
