Enter the Dragonfly was actually a very good game, if you ignore the graphical laziness and the terrible lag. The level design was, in my honest opinion, very good.
And if you play the somewhat faster and less glitchy GameCube version
It’s just the fact it’s missing like 2 home worlds, 2 bosses and about 15 entire levels that holds it back. It could save been a masterpiece if they had more time and didn’t cut 60% of the content.
Yeah i played on the gamecube with my cousin it was a pretty good game that i think should be remade like the trilogy.
It wasn't laziness, they were rushed and didn't had enough time. :c Alot of things were supposes to be added too but was cut back. Like the castle was suppous to open after beating Riptoe at the end.
Unfortunately, mostly solid design cannot exonerate Enter The Dragonfly due to the horrific technical state it released in. It's an impressively rushed and mismanaged clusterfuck with more bugs than you could possibly imagine (some of them genuinely dangerous), poorly presented and severely lacking in content. No fun gameplay can save from that, it's merely a spoonful of sugar to help some pretty nasty medicine go down.
Spyro 4's soundtrack seemed rather wistful and sad compared to the previous games. Has anyone ever noticed that? I wonder why that is. It's fitting since this was the final Spyro game of this type and the final game for which Copeland composed.
Even so, the music in this game-especially this track and Dragon Realms- is really bittersweet. Especially the opening synths at the beginning of this track.
I drew the exact same conclusion, about the music.

Dreamcast Dazia - A Hero's Tail was the last console Spyro game in this continuity, but it was a completely different game from its predecessors.
That is well said and it makes me sad to think that. That is until Toys For Bob gave us hope that light shining in the darkness
My sister and me would hang out in these levels the most. I loved this level and would pretend that I was a thunder/lightning dragon because of the distant storm clouds and the thunder sfx in that one area of honey marsh. I would also spew the electric breath as it was my favorite elemental breath to use.
I really want this game to be reborn as a new extension of the reignited trilogy.
I wish they would've fixed this game in later revisions. It could've been just as good as the original trilogy if they would've just taken their damn time.

AMEN. They handled the world building, characters, music, and general atmosphere so well. They also did a great job on building on top of what we already have. Had they had the time and resources to see this thing through the way they originally wanted it, it could have easily been as good as the OG trilogy. Maybe even better in some ways. Honestly hurts to think about

I just love everything about this level. From the design to small things like the thunder sound effects. The music in particular really stands out to me and is probably my favourite score, with Thieves Den as a close second.
0:49 to 1:21 sounds so cool

this is probably my favourite level and track in the game, next to that volcano slide.
Just now, I watched footage of Honey Marshes being played and when I heard the level's music, I realised it was used for the UK television commercial for Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly (specifically 2:56 - 3:27) that I saw multiple times back in 2002. I haven't listened to this music since I heard it in the commercial.

This level gotten me into bees more, and made me wanted to go inside their hives. XD It was such a tease seeing bees in this level. I was like come on! Let me be part of your colony and be a bee like you! And that's how my obsession started. I would sometimes roast the pigs to be mean and pretend to be a bee or something elese and I would live at the tree tops. 😂Haha good times.
These songs were so much more better than the original trilogy theres just something thats so good about them

Nothing beats Spyro 2 soundtrack
This is easily my favorite song in the game. I feel like there was a lot more effort and creativity put into it compared to the entire soundtrack. Love the level too. ❤
I only just started playing this recently as I never finished it as a kid, and when I got to this level I got serious Conker's Bad Fur Day vibes cx
Copeland's style seems slightly slower in all the tracks generally as compared to the earlier games, and funnily enough Spyro himself and the gameplay is slightly slower also... maybe that was just a coincidence.
Before Copeland composes for each level, he plays through them first to get a feel of how the music should be. So that might be it.

I remember going down the slide and at the end Spyro's head would turn all the way around so that he was facing me, but his body was facing the other direction. God damn glitches!
A mix of country and techno lol. An odd combination but in this case, I like it.

Never liked the soundtrack to this game but this track and stage was easily my only favorite and thieves den with the chanting

I hate the LOS games, though I do enjoy Skylanders in some ways. But either way, I will always think that the classic trilogy are the best. At least some people agree with you, CF.

@CrystalFissure To add to your Skylanders and LoS discussion I have to say gameplay wise skylanders is far superior to los I don't know why but los gameplay is not very good its not horrible but not as good as say heros tail and story wise los is better than skylanders all skylanders is just *oh look kaos is back again or some $hit* its just bland... and I actually played skylanders recently and was enjoying my self.

I think the Skylanders games are solid, but not as good as the regular Spyro games (Even though I played the first one, Enter the Dragonfly and A New Beginning)
The last good Spyro game was Year Of The Dragon, this game sucked.
