I just posted this on AWP's page: "I have been a huge fan of your rescue efforts and was even willing to look beyond the past that came back to bite you in the ass because I felt it's a good thing to be helping these families. I have also been fully supportive of the guys who rightfully left your team, as they too were involved in helping families.... as it should be. However, it appears you are trying to put them out of business with unfair copywrite lawsuits so they are unable to be seen as competitors to YOUR business. Seriously??? Can there be too many people helping families? I think not! So now that it is public that you are STILL trying to put them out of business, your reputation is even further tarnished because of this petty behavior. Therefore I will NO LONGER be supporting your business, and will instead, double down on my promotion of the other guys. I cant believe you are even still following awp after Jareds arrest for SA on kids and his long known ruthless threatening business tactics plus the fact its been known for years, he conned followers out of money and became a millionaire on money meant for the searches. And he mostly say on the sidrlines while these other guys did all of the searches,dives,recovery while he just ate and grew. Theres a video of J threatening a company that he originally hired one of these guys from. By being his sub you are making him money on yt.
I walked away from AWP channel after he showed he was more about making money then helping families. To me, helping families is only a small part of my support, it is helping families with integrity that gets my full support.
AWP was a huge disappointment to us. You and other teams continue to carry the torch for families and cases unsolved. We must stand firm and united against such tyranny. Thank you Josh!

Actually Josh's is in question. He violated the terms of his contract, attempted to stab Jared in the back and take AWP's intellectual property, and is now asking his supporters to bear the financial burden and responsibility of his poor choices.

I am so grateful for this community and have been busy these past few days searching for the missing, but have truly been left speechless by the amount of support you have given me on this situation. Thank you. A quick reminder- i will always fight to keep this page/community/channel/comment section free from hate, judgments, and public convictions. Therefore i have had to delete a handful of comments that fell outside of these parameters and turned the strictness up on allowed comments. I hope you understand. You’ve done nothing wrong. It’s horrible that Jared is being such a b*tch. He did something wrong and had to face the music. That doesn’t mean that anyone else should have to pay for those mistakes. Since you had your own business, you should be able to fight him on this. I’m not sure if you can fight him after you signed that paper/agreement, depending on the verbiage, but if it doesn’t specifically say video or something to that affect, you should be able to keep the videos etc. Also, there’s NO way that he can make you NOT do the same things that were done on that other channel. He doesn’t OWN the action of searching for things in the water. You can use the videos against him, in that on those other videos, I don’t know how many times I heard him specifically say,” anyone can do this. Fisherman, police etc. As long as they have the equipment that people can look and notify police”. In that statement alone, he was giving others permission to do so. So, he can’t turn around and sue you for doing such. He’s tarnished his reputation and now he’s trying to gain money by fraudulent means and trying to take your videos as his own. Don’t stop fighting for what’s yours. All of this is your work and there’s nothing he can do about it.
Please continue to be the change you wish to see in the world. I hope those who find their comments missing are able to find other words to convey their opinions. Also, if they know that they said nothing against your guide lines, I hope they are aware that Google sometimes holds comments for random reasons our favorite creators may not understand. Once news started breaking about the legal issues and things started spiraling, I immediately unsubscribed from AWP and started trying to support the individual creators outside of Jared. ChaosDivers in particular are based out of the stomping grounds I grew up in. Never give up, don't let them beat you down. You have a lot of people behind you, keep doing amazing things.

I had always felt throughout the years that there was something off about Jared, something really bithered me, i chalked it up to just being annoying at first and his inability bro pronounce words, but the work that was being done was captivating. UNTIL...etc happened happened! I too then broke off ond only watched the other teams like Jacob & Lindsay at Chaos, and individual divers like Doug, etc.
As a community who truly understands what the goals and benefits are and what a valuable resource this is, we need to stand behind Josh and these guys, so much good has been done and there's so much more work to do! Jared can't be allowed to destroy this incredible movement of passionate, skilled people doing such impact ful life altering work. We can't throw the baby out with the bath water!

We are thankful my cousin was found, and yeah Jared helped narrow down the search, but it was a TEAM of people who brought him home. He thinks the universe revolves around him and it doesn’t. I watched everything the former/original crew put out on that channel because it was, overall, good content that was filmed and edited beautifully, but I did so each time having to just sort of block him out. Always got a yuck feeling about him.
AWP has ruined their reputation with so many people. After all that came out in 2022, I immediately stopped watching. I still follow along with you, other members of the orevious crew, and the other dive teams. Thank you for not giving up and for not staying silent. You have so many people behind you, supporting you.
Said person always claimed it wasn’t about the money but the ‘missing’ & ‘loved ones’ (whilst crying into the camera). I will never forget the tears when there was doubt over motives & sympathy, help, funds & support in many forms sent that way.
To serve this lawsuit on you mere days of your child being born was so yucky & gross. A father himself knows how special this time is & the impact this would have had in many ways. Let’s not forget social media is being followed, he was sending strikes leading up to & during this time to know details. All they seem to do is shoot themselves in the foot over & over and reveal their true ethics & morals. It’s gross in so many ways.
Josh you are humble, kind & thoughtful. Your videography skills speak for themselves. You are the guy that would give the shirt off his back, no conditions attached.

It was a big disappointment when the truth about the integrity of Jared or should I say lack of came to light. I was pleased when you and Doug decided to carry on the work that you worked hard to achieve while with AWP and separate from Jared. His deeds are known and this attempt of his to destroy your mission to continue to help people find their loved ones will come back on him and he will be the one to lose his deceptive channel. Unpopular take coming. First, I 100% support you, Josh, and the other divers/teams with integrity. Your former employer disgusts me and I will never watch that channel again. Having said that, if your lawyer is telling you you "own" that video, get another lawyer. You do not. It is extremely clear law that a company who hires (by contract or employment) someone to produce work, owns that work. Your best argument is that the company allowed you to post those videos, thereby freely allowing a copyright exception and a setting a precedent. I think you'd likely win there, but that still doesn't mean you "own" the videos, just that you have the right to use them. Regardless, you are a fantastic young man and I hope you and your lovely family survive this, and thrive going forward!

I have said it before, and I will say it again: You guys are the ones who inspired me to get on the water and go from purely wildland searches to adding Sonar searches on the Tennessee River... combining my joy of being on the water with the ability to help serve my local communities! Never stop searching! There are too many people in this calling that forget WHY we do what we do: we do not do this for ourselves or the attention this gives us. We do this for the victims and their families, to give a voice to the lost, and to provide some form of closure to those closest to the missing. Any publicity we gain from what we do should always be directed back into our work, showcasing what we do and how we do it so as to get word out to other communities and families missing loved ones, so that we might be able to help in some way... even if it is not "our" team that is called.
We are public servants, and most of us volunteers. To see someone else try to make this about themselves and tear others down just because they want to throw a tantrum like a petulant child is sickening. I found you guys back on the other channel, and for a while I still supported what he was doing, but I can do that no longer- the delusions and paranoia have gotten too strong in him...
Also, I believe that the federal government is in the process of making non-compete agreements illegal to enforce, which I personally wholeheartedly agree in (for once)! No person should have a say in what or how you conduct business after you leave their employ... by restricting who can do business like someone else is, is effectively trying to create a monopoly on that business, and is not how a free-market, capitalist society works!

I did some mapping of the water around there at one point, it might help. I really believe she can be found. A lot of the spots I have are ponds though, might need something like adams got with his rc kayak build.
@@shookbriiI have heard of the case! My build out is on a Sea-Doo, so it can get most open water places.. but a pond might be pushing it! Maybe later on I can build out a setup for my kayak (I think it is a great Idea!) I am just getting started though, both in sonar searches and with my own channel! Thank You for the tip... AWP will not be able to find every missing person - that's just a fact - so it is utterly ridiculous that they are forcing non-competes on people (as you rightly stated, it's wrong in any scenario, but it's heartless when it comes to bringing home missing people).
How anyone can actively use the court system to limit search and rescue is beyond me. It's absurd, cruel, and so wrong. Anyone who still supports AWP needs to look at this and see the reality of what they are supporting - because it's not getting missing loved ones home, it's lining Jared's pockets. We all know that money is being used on these court cases, which means it's actively fighting the very cause it claims to promote.

Josh, please never give up. I've been watching you from the beginning. Your video graphic skills are a big part of what made AWP successful and we all know it. You packaged the product in such a way that pulled your viewers in and made them fans who then made the AWP channel explode. I hope there will be a reckoning sooner or later for Jared. Exactly. The habit of handing someone a paper and saying sign here is way to big! I was at the hospital the other month bout to give blood for my son and had to sign some papers. I read through them as I always do and the lady behind the counter was so annoyed. She even said " sir there's a line behind you so hurry up" I laughed and continued to read. She then says " you need to step aside and finish " I asked if I would keep my place in line and she said no. So I continued to stand there. Once finished I watched every other parent sign so many random papers without reading a single word. Smh

I agree 100% I definitely saw something, I just couldn't put my finger on it... but I was placated by the cause, that is until the you know what hit the fan! Now I only support the individual dive teams and Josh! The mission was and still is the focus. We can't throw the baby out with the bathwater!

That said I started to see a bit of him that struck me as off, but continued to watch till the story broke. I admit I had flashbacks and anxiety just seeing his channel pop up on my screen. As a survivor, I can definitely feel what this gal felt and I understand why it took so long. My parents never knew, my sisters still don't. I did tell a cousin about 4 years ago (I would have been 65). My husband knew. I've been to therapists and counseling. It never goes away, it's always just right there in the back of your mind waiting.... Josh, bless you and your family and Doug's too. I also agree that he's afraid of Doug even though I think he's a very kind and caring person, he could totally intimidate if he wanted to. I watched all the videos during that time by everyone and I was shocked at what I learned. He should be in prison not harassing you all.

I'm sorry he turned out to be such a jerk. I was appalled when it all unravelled and I saw behind the mask. You're right, he has the financial means to crush everyday opponents and that's what he'll try to do. He appears to want control, like most narcissists, and will punish those he sees as betraying him. Whether or not the accusations were proven true, the side of him I saw, and continue to see, is the reason I wouldn't watch him again. As you rightly point out, trying to prevent missing people from being located so that your audience doesn't go elsewhere is immoral and unconscionable. His doing this to someone who was a big part of the reason for his success makes it even worse.
You have shown and continue to show your character, and I'm sorry that you and your family are being put through this stress over one man's ego.
Yeah, their character is great. He taught them everything they know and they signed a contract that they would not start their own businesses doing the same thing. Then, they all went out and started their own channels.

I originally found you through AWP. That's actually how I found most of the content creators I follow now. I always had a hard time with the way AWP seemed to be exploiting the pain of the loved ones. I love the way you, Doug, Nick, Chaos Divers, etc. talk about the missing person without having to bring the loved ones on camera. Your work is your work, and you should be able to draw a residual income from your work!
