- I attempted to beat 4 different games of Pokemon at the same time - One game of Pokemon Leaf Green, one game of Pokemon Heart Gold, one game of Pokemon Ruby, and one game of Pokemon Diamond. My controller is paired to all four at the same time, so I must navigate the maps and battles of each simultaneously. How long will this take me? Watch the video to find out!
This is not a Nuzlocke, as you will see through my many failed battles. My only goal was to beat the game as fast as possible.

This is the reason I don't pick bulbasaur. Even if I did, I switch to Lapras the quickest I can (pfp lol) Also Zapdos is ruthless and takes years to catch

Something you could do for hidden games (if it's possible) is to record it (without seeing it, of course) and just fast-track through the footage to see how the game went! :)

I would love it also, but unfortunately my PC is basically on death’s door trying to run multiple games - so recording a whole other screen would make it explode. Also the thought of watching back 18 hours of random inputs makes me want to scream lmao

@@Rylockes Do you have to put it on another screen? It sounds scuffed, but if you put a piece of paper or something over a corner of your screen you can block yourself from seeing the blind game while the screen will still be recorded with the rest of the games.

I was honestly expecting the "bonus" game to be something absurd to play at the same time as a bunch of pokemon games, like a platformer. imagine beating 4 pokemon games at the same time and also seeing how far you could get in crash bandicoot...

This would be a great format as a race between two players. Different Strategies between where to focus on single games vs where to try to progress with all at once could be really fun to watch.

possibly an editing nightmare though. not an editor, but I imagine that's a lot of screens to consider
I don’t think people understand how hard it is to edit and tell the story of one game as well as you. You have 4 going! I love how you blurred the screens to let the viewer focus on the game you were talking about. Also love the “mini game” race through victory road to make a (possibly) boring part actually interesting. Great great job. I hope this video takes off.

this is the next logical step to playing 4 completely different games altogether at the same time. i propose: pokemon emerald, bloodborne, civilization VI and celeste
I don't think that's do-able. Playing games from different genres with the same inputs will just devolve into playing 1 game at a time.
This is especially true for games where the action happens in real time. For example I don't think it's possible to beat Celeste and Hollow Knight at the same time even though they're both 2D Platformers since they have different mechanics and level design.
The same is true for FPS games,
action-adventure games, fighting games, racing games etc.
On the other hand playing 2 turn based games from different franchises at the same time might be possible as long as their mechanics are similar enough.

But I guess it would be a bit better and easier, if you would use 4 games from the same genre.
Maybe 4 3d platformer like Mario 64, Banjo Kazooie, Donkey Kong 64 and.. Idk Spyro?

Play through 4 versions of Kanto at the same time. Pokémon Red, Pokémon FireRed, Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu, and the Kanto part of Pokémon Heartgold.
It's weird to see how similar these games are in story progression.

I would've just liked the hidden bonus game to just be a vanilla game and the reveal being if you were able to accomplish ANYTHING AT ALL

See this is why I disagree on venusaur being the best starter in kanto when it's brought up, it starts amazing but it ends up sucking hard late game. Besides both Squirtle and charmander can deal with brock anyways with metal claw/water type moves so Misty is really the only true advantage it has over the other two. Squirtle is the most consistent, but there's a million other and even better water types while fire types are rare and other than moltres I could make a thesis on why Charizard is the best fire type in kanto. If you're doing starter only or a speedrun then squirtle is the best, but if you're using other team members then I think charmander is worth it even with a slow start thanks to misty.
Doesn’t help that it can very easily be replaced by better options
How did you technically do that? I mean, did you use some program to "multiply" the input to all the different emulators that were running?

For game 2 you need badges 5 to go to gym 6.

I for one would love to see the footage of the mewtwo elite 4 battle. Maybe next time you can record that as well?

He clearly cheated in the Emerald run. You can't get Mewtwo without the National Dex. Even when you trade, your partner can't give you non-Hoenn Pokémon until you get the National Dex after beating the Elite Four.
@Sean Wheeler Yes, the game was hacked at the start. The point is that he’s hacked an overpowered team in, and now is trying to see if that team can win without him looking at it.

That’s crazy I was thinking of something like this earlier, only my version was where you can only see one game at a time and every 5 minutes or so the game you can see rotates.
You could do a race in this format with Scott's Toughts, he is a great poketuber that usually do solo challenges

You technically did Kanto and Johto's gym 5 and 6 out of order. Koga is five and Sabrina is sixth. Chuck is 5 and Jasmine is 6
Well in both games gyms 5 thru 7 can be done in any order.
Not surprised that Venusaur struggled. Venusaur kinda sucks unless you have a bunch of TMs to teach good moves with, or breeding egg moves
Like, without Earthquake or Weather Ball in the sun, it can't touch Steel types, and not being able to handle entire types is terrible for runs like these

How is the in-game time on the orders of 160-170 hours, but the irl time only aroun 18-19 h? I understood the game were at double speed, but you'd need a speed-up of x10 to get those times. What am I missing?

Could just be the emulator receiving the inputs no matter what you have selected. I know desmume does that

You should have the secret hidden game use a randomizer one time. Help it along enough to get the secret game out of the tutorial section and then just let it go.

How can you have a team of Mewtwos in Emerald before the Elite Four? Mewtwo's not in the Hoenn Dex, and the Emerald game won't let you trade National Dex Pokémon until after you beat the Elite Four.

I know this is a super old video but did you notice your hidden game actually beat the E4 twice?! It has Hall of Fame #2 in the final screen so it is showing the second team that beat it too!

You know,even just as far as the first gym and first cave, by comparing the games side by side like this you begin to realize how similar the obstacles are. Go north to the first gym, and then go thru a cave
