It was a fantastic opening and the whole 4 hour show was good,,, and you probably remember Loren (the winner), not only because she had already won Eurovisio, but because she was one of the invited performers at Dimash's 2017 Bastau concert, which you watched with us
I knew that was the princess but I was too shocked to say anything, lol I didn't know she played the piano, I didn't know she would appear and I was just in awe, lol
@@TeacherPaulReacts Since England took over the role of host of Eurovision due to the war, and it was the coronation, maybe they thought it was a very good promo for both the English and the royal family, it was a good idea.

@@TeacherPaulReacts There is indeed a Eurovision rule, if the first place person withdraws from the tournament and does not exercise his right, then the 2nd place has the opportunity. However, the situation here is special: Ukraine has not given up, but because of the war it is not safe to organize such a competition where many foreigners would also travel, so this solution could take place, I don't think there has been such a thing before.
Loved this, it was a great moment, BBC did a great job with Eurovision! For me Kalush, Zdob si Zdub and Konstratka were the best last year, I still listen to Stefania, it was my favorite even before the war, when I listened to the Vidbir songs out of curiosity.
Showing her sitting in a dress which probably cost about as much as a Leopard tank, living in a literal palace, just strikes me as wildly inappropriate when the Ukrainian people are fighting and dying while their families are homeless because a missile decided to pay a visit to their living room - and the British people are being ground into the dust by the cost of living crisis caused by the cause of the boundless suffering of Мати Украйна, and getting paid far less than they are worth for doing the jobs without which society ceases to function or even exist. 🇬🇧🩸🇺🇦
For the me, it is the best opening in Eurovision's history. UK has been an AMAZING host, they perfectly mix UK and Ukraine. This is a piece of art!!
