R129 Mercedes SL500 Wind Deflector Repair

With just some basic tools and a bit of trial and error I was able to repair the damages Wind Deflector on the R129 Mercedes SL500. It's not too hard to do yourself but if you would like me to repair your screen please contact me via [e-mail]

Great work .I am impressed. It had crossed my mind if the screen could be replaced but i never really looked at it in detail. Then I came across your video. I have two R129's and a R107. The screens are perfect on mine and don't need to be replaced but your information is great if I ever need to do mine. Hi thanks for your post. My screen has very damage to paint work and I was contemplating refurbishing it. wondered how hard it was to get the springs in the hinge section back together once you have remove them. Cheers

this looks great. So I want to repair it like this, how do I get it removed from my 2013 SL 550? Mine is an automatic pop up rear wind screen. Anyone have a video on how to actually get it out of the car?

How did you first start removing the screen,did you have to remove any screws

No screw.....just a round tape that locks it into a groove.
