It’s an acquired taste. Either you like durian (including the smell) or you don’t. Me, I love durian. For me, it’s one of the tastiest delicacies in the world. And when it comes to durian, the more pungent the smell, the better the taste. But on the other hand, I can’t stand the smell and taste of blue cheese. Even thinking about it is enough for me to induce vomit. I can’t stand the taste of caviar either. To me, it tastes like raw old fish. Anyhow, you need prolonged exposure to that kind of food to acquire the taste before you can aporeciate and enjoy it. Otherwise, it’s either you like it or you don’t.
I agree with 100000% ! I can imagine getting used to the flavor and loving it. But first time was surprising and your Brain expecting such sweetens like other fruits. But durian is definitely a unique flavor. By the way I LOVEEEE blue cheese and Gorgonzola lol so we are equal now 💙😜
Absolutely! I agree. I was born in Medan and grew up enjoying durian without any issues. It seems I'm not a picky eater since I can also enjoy blue cheese. However, the only food I can't eat is surstromming.

Yeah I guess so. It’s probably because we are not from here and our imagination thinks right the way something sweet like pineapple or something els we grew up trying. It’s definitely a new flavor u need to get use too. One day we will 😅💙🙏🏼
