HO Collection of Hershey Rolling Stock and Locomotive Unboxing

- Another box arrived recently and I've curious about opening it so today I did just that. I wasn't expecting to find an entire collection of Hershey themed rolling stock as well as a locomotive. All of this is gonna need some work to get it going again but it already looks great and I can't wait to set it around my 1:87 scale Hershey factory model.

Nice haul Harrison. Watchamacallit is still very much a live brand but apparently it's either not a Canadian offering by Hersheys or is marketed up your way under another name. I know there's a couple candies that do that possibly due to avoiding confusion with existing Canadian brands. Unfortunately the only one that comes to mind is what we call Smarties ( basically the little cellophane wrapped candy discs popular at Halloween because they're cheap)here in the States are marketed under another name that slips my mind at the moment in Canada because there is or was an M&M type candy called Smarties. Obviously they might be well worth a trip across the border for one or maybe one of SMT nation can send a care package to you poor Whatchamacallit deprived souls north of the border.
The most realistic of all the cars is the one Hershey's 40' refrigerator car by Tyco. Champ had a decal set for that very car. None of the others existed as real prototype rolling stock but well known national brand food companies did put their logos on prototype rolling stock decades ago.
Awesome, Harrison, another Hershey Special Dark Locomotive to lash-up with the other one. Whatchamacallit is still being produced today -- it's a pretty good candy bar. Love the "Hershey Milk Chocolate" Billboard Boxcar. Oh great, now I want a huge glass of ice-cold Hershey's Chocolate Milk.
The dark brown reefer with silver top is Tyco.
Hey, those are awesome! I got the same set myself a few years back, despite these being generally avoided by me back when they were available at Walthers when I worked there many years ago.

That's a fantastic collection. I have never seen half of those cars, they are really nice. Looking forward to seeing them run. I collect box cars by the graphics on them and you have some of the best.

Awesome acquisition Harrison! I actually went to Hershey Park on a very special school trip towards the end of my 8th grade year in 2009 and I'll never forget those fun times.
Great haul! My wife used to work for Hershey in PA. I have also started collecting train cars. May build a small Hershey plant in the future.
Holy cow that's sweet! ( pun intended) The Hershey's Whatchamacallit they still make that candy bar it is a mix of everything I'm curious at those other Freight cars that have that custom look to them what brand would have made those in the first place cuz that is really amazing what a wonderful set you got there. Makes me want to get a Whatchamacallit bar now LOL
