  • This video takes you on a journey through the caves' fascinating history, from their origins as a Triassic geological feature to their use in quarrying and significance during the Second World War. We'll uncover the tales of quarry workers, the strategic wartime role of the caves, and their transformation into a hidden venue for raves. Join me for an exploration of this unique local landmark, where every corner tells a story of work, war, and wild nights.

That’s fantastic and thanks for the insight here. I stumbled across these caves a while ago and found them intriguing and fascinating. I subsequently did a bit of googling but your overview has filled in all the details. I must have passed these caves hundreds of times on the M6 without knowing they existed. Thanks again for putting this together.

You're welcome, glad to have filled in the gaps! Yes it's strange isn't it that thousands of people drive past every day and never give it a second thought!
