We need an update version. Part 2. I told someone from GA that I'm in motion and he didn't understand... Made me think of this, so here I am... Sharing this video with dude, so I stop confusing him when I'm saying what I'm saying. Yadidi.
Damn! 🔥🔥🔥 I know im late on this, but fuck! I couldn’t help but get out the trance he put me in. Lyrics & flow sliding over each other so smoothly. Underrated MC.
reading the cast for blindspotting and lost my shit been listening to this song for 9 years and recognized the guy's name specifically this song. I'll get around to the movie just appreciating this song, should have more views.
+xLizettelovesyoux hahah foreal fr tho.. wen i went down to LA foe college the girls couldnt understand wut i was sayin.. them foos down there ain wit the shit like how the bay rock
for real! in the 2000s we were really the engine of like most of new US culture lmao. unfortunately now that's still sorta true but because gentrification basically started out here before the gentrifiers exported it around.
dope song bro! Big up Raf! I born and raised in the bay, right under the bridge, and these words are used by some people in the bay, some words more then others, they are not all from the bay of course, words are from everywhere, but they are all slang that people in or around the bay use, as well as other places in the US and world.
@TechniqueLee I understood that part, I just know that many of the words were not stolen -otherwise they would have been recognized in Oakland when I came thru there throughout the years.
This track is what it is. A couple'a terms wasn't ours, but that's no big deal. A good portion of the slang and "ism" all these other cats pop came from the Bay.
I never grew up saying most of these words. Southern people don't use much slang, they mostly use curse words. Damn, Hell and Shit being the most popular. I knew of some of these slang words but they were used by transplants mostly. However, it's cool how the bay has it's own slang culture.
dayumn i'm from that 619 and just realize how not only peeps from So Cal use a lot of Bay Area slang but everybody nationwide even those cats in the Southern British Columbia use bay slang... RESPECTS TO THE BAY AREA REAL TALK!
To correct my man, the definition of 'yokin' is to _mash on the gas then immediately brake_, like kicking an ox then pulling on it's yoke, hence 'yokin', otherwise known as 'dippin'. Also 40-Water wasn't the first to use the term 'd-boy'. His peer the late Andre Hicks said it on the title track of his first EP in '89.
Hey whats up? I had to take a moment to give you respect on your video. I dont typically pass a lot of time on youtube but its always a dope thing when you come across nice folks. Ive been pushing to build my videos recently so ive been using more time to link with people and hope i can get the same love! Much appreciated!
Haha. this song goes HARDD. but shiyutt you can't expect every one to send a thank you card.. slang gets around like a beezy on a round the world trip. Say dat.
Dat shit of tha chain. Um sendin' it to all my new folks in FLAWduh dat don't understand what i'm speakin' 'bout when i holla at em. Luv back to my Yay Area.... ya boy hella missin' the Town!

i love this track
I really really miss my home in the Bay.
I never grew up saying most of these words. Southern people don't use much slang, they mostly use curse words. Damn, Hell and Shit being the most popular. I knew of some of these slang words but they were used by transplants mostly. However, it's cool how the bay has it's own slang culture.
yep...bay slanguage is metaphorical which is why it's hard for outsiders to understand...
that was some beastin' stuff
RAW FOR REAL!!
dayumn i'm from that 619 and just realize how not only peeps from So Cal use a lot of Bay Area slang but everybody nationwide even those cats in the Southern British Columbia use bay slang... RESPECTS TO THE BAY AREA REAL TALK!
A lot of this slang has come out of the Bay but some of it has been taken from different areas of the country and interjected into Bay lingo..
Charlie Copp like What? People always drop words with no evidence.
