By chance did you need to remove your magazine tube? I just bought the same swivel kit and the front mount piece isn't two parts like this video shows.
I have the same rifle and sling swivels I used an Allen sling I sold my Remington 597 semi auto and then purchased this gun I've found it a lot more fun shooting the lever action and a lot more practical for hunting. Nice vid man.
No drilling for me. I modified an Allen shell holder with a velcro strap across the back to prevent it from sliding forward when I am shooting. Instead of drilling a hole for the swivel post I wrapped several strands of heavy weight fishing line where the hole in the ammo carrier would have been and attached the swivel to that. Works perfect and protects the beautiful wood.
Followed your video and installed my Uncle Mikes Quick Detach Swivel kit today. Perfect! Thanks for the video.

I can't see me drilling into the stock of my Golden Boy to attach a sling. Something unnatural about that.

Appreciate you taking the time to show this ...
Thanks for doing this video! I bought the Grovtec system and the instructions didn't say what that little plastic strip was for. Now I know.
Good video thanks for sharing! I think I will be doing the same on my Henry lever action👍

Thanks for making this :)
Instructions are stupid. You should drill the 5/32” to depth 1” and THEN use the 7/32” for 1/8” deep for the counter-sink.
would this kit work on a henry .17 as well?
crazyfishkicker I'm not familiar with the dimensions of the 17HMR barrel so I don't want to say it would.
So you fast forward during the install, but the muttering of instructions is normal speed?
Good Video, pls use white background to see the parts. tia
Drill into my stock? Naaah the rifle is light ill just carry by hand
Well I just wrecked my stock, the rear hole ended up off center to the left and looks hokey fμ©k, I should have just paid the Smith $15 to install it ☹️
I’m sorry man. I always measure twice and drill once.
