I love your videos so much. I have been looking up cosmetic glitter is there a difference in cosmetic nail glitter and the cosmetic glitter you used for this video???
sorry for just now seeing this. If you dont already have an answer, ONLY put COSMETIC GRADE GLITTER on your skin (eyes, face, etc.). Any other glitter can be harmful as it has different ingredients (glitter you can buy at hobby lobby and use on paper, wood, etc)
I have questions! So I started making these myself using alcohol and vegetable glycerin and also aloe Vera gel but mine is no where near dry enough to press immediately afterwards or even hours afterwards. I usually have to wait like 2 days later so is that bc of the aloe?? Should I stop using it altogether? And one other thing is I noticed you said you were using tissue paper ..are you talking about the kind you use to wrap gifts?? I've been using paper towels and a pressing knob I purchased online. Sometimes it works and others times it doesn't so this process is becoming frustrating lol could you help answer these questions please? :)
hey there! you have to find the right mix of all the ingredients. you need very little of the glycerin which is what took me awhile to get the hang of. try two drops of glycerin and a few drops of alcohol. use a paper towel or q tip to soak up the extra
@@LaurensBeautyHouse I really appreciate you taking the time to respond..im gonna try your method and hopefully get better results. Mine always turns out either too wet or too dry. This has been a bit more challenging project for me bc it looks so easy but you really gotta have to practice at it to get it right which can be frustrating lol
One last question...after the glitter is done and ready to use would it be okay to leave them out in the open air or should I store them into something. I've got several made so far but don't have any palettes yet so I'm worried they might dry out.
18 sadia drinking alcohol? I would say no. Rubbing alcohol is about $1 or $2. Glycerin helps with the conscientcy. If you just use alcohol you're going to have liquids/dried out glitter in a pan that won't do anything for you?
Hi there! I prefer to do it this way so I get an even amount of each shade. My shop has been open for almost a year with this method and we are doing great, yay!
careful I buy glitter from same site you need to click view chart lots I'm cosmetic section aren't eye safe they're body safe but it'll say which colors are eye lip and body safe also you haven't tried aloe get a?
Laurens Beauty House oh okay I been wondering what do I need the aloe for... cause I just read an article where a girl said just alcohol and glycerin. and people were concerned about the glitter injections mold she said hers are in dry area and alcohol and the dry area won't mold up. so wonder how theirs did maybe it was aloe Vera lol
Laurens Beauty House I just started making em and my first ones turns out so crappy looked amazing at first but when i tried pressing 24 hrs later they are still wet so may try tho way also something else I read was only add extra alcohol while mixing glitter in not the glycerin alcohol mix. like when it starts to get chunky I didn't do that :'(
it takes time finding the right formula, you need more alcohol than anything else. The only reason it is going to mold it because of how you store it and thats how all makeup is. makeup is meant to be in room temperature situations. It will grow mold if it is in humid environment like a bathroom. That is one reason I use preservatives so I can store them in any type of environment without having to worry about molding!
These are so creative, Lauren!

@@onlytymewilltell they are like any other cosmetic, they need to be covered and stored out of humid envionrments to keep from molding
i love your energy, definitely will subscribe :)
can i use a normal alcohol? and is it necessary to use glycerine?
18 sadia drinking alcohol? I would say no. Rubbing alcohol is about $1 or $2. Glycerin helps with the conscientcy. If you just use alcohol you're going to have liquids/dried out glitter in a pan that won't do anything for you?

This looks super fun! I'm worried about glitter getting in the eyes though... will cosmetic glitter hurt or scratch your eyes if it does get in them??
Leo XD
It’s definitely way safer than craft glitter. Makeup brands you cosmetic glitter so I would assume it’s safe.

You should have mixed the different glitter before putting it in the alcohol-glycerin solution.
