The pink sauce in Yen Ta Fo noodle is made from fermented tofu, not from red bean. 😊😊😊. The soup would be more flavour if you add the condiment made from vinegar and chillii, you can find it on the table.
They don't laugh at you. It's just that it's so cute when foreigners don't know how to eat and ask us.

They're not actually meant to laugh at you guys. they are kindly adored you guys that dont know how to eat this green lotus seeds and they're willingly to help and admire you dare to eat Thai local ancient food. cheer up!. (I'm Thai)
With the lotus seed you have to peel the bitter skin and also remove the little green baby plant in the middle. It's actually taste better if it's aged more with the skin starting to turn black.

The 16 baht noodles come in small bowls and you are supposed to order 3 or 4 or even more.
The pink or red sauce in Yen Ta Fo dish, it’s actually from fermented beans or fermented tofu. Which are different from the red beans they use for desserts.

If you have any chance to visit Thailand recently. I reccommend to another province than Bangkok such as Huahin or Khao-Yai. A very busy travel place but not too busy for having a good food. Good video btw. Happy to see you both in good vibe!

I ate at Jay Fai once about two decades ago. My friend and I went there in the evening and didn't have to wait. I don't remember what I ordered exactly (probably Pad Thai) but the price I do vividly - 500 Baht :-)

Dears🎉 The green things inside lotus is kind of medicine, if you can, swallow the bitter It will be benefit for you.
By Thai standard it's quite expensive, but it's nothing compared to international Michelin star prices.

Great VDO. Just to clear something up (don't want folks trying to make yen ta fo with fermented actual red beans). The fermented "red bean" here is actually more appropriately know as fermented tofu. No relation to the red bean used in desserts. Its made from the tofu "bean".
