I remember when I was about eighteen. My mom went to the conference for the Autism Society of America in March of 2001. She stayed at the Hyatt Regency DFW Airport in Dallas, Texas. I think she went there on spring break.
Today, as much international diversity of flights as Houston Bush...daily flights from BA, Korean, Qantas, Emirates and many more including global cargo flights.
Wow, nice video! So many memories. Even my old Emery DC-8-70 was there, and another ATI DC8. I gave 14 years at that airport. I can't believe just 12 years ago, the 737-200 was still king of the short haul. I think there was even a BAE-146 in there. That NWA DC9 was either heavy or early rotation. I can't remember we leaving the mains on the runway that long. Thanks for posting.
Plenty of AA planes on the actual video but most of them weren't really memories as they're still operating now... Just the MD11 and 727s I believe are gone...
We have 2 white 747s on the video, N508MC & N517MC both operated by ATLAS AIR for other airlines. ATLAS doesn't always paint planes in the airlines liveries they operate for... In this case they were likely being used for China Airlines.
Between 1991 and today we've released more than 125 Airport programs... Old programs that were released on VHS from 1991 through 2002 are now being re-released in our Download Store such as this Dallas program... From 2002 through 2012 we released DVDs and since sometime in 2012 we release the airport programs on Blu-rays... Our next one is due out November 1st. Visit our website for more details...
Sooooo many classics at my DFW airport. Thank you for sharing this. I miss seeing the AirTran, TWA, Sabena and others. Brings back some good 'ol memories.
In 1999 at KIAH I worked on the BAX Global DC-8's (looked exactly like that in this video) while employed by Integrated Airline Services as a ramp agent.
So this was right before I moved out there for a year-7th grade. I vividly remember seeing those last handful of AA MD11s right before they got rid of them. Great footage.
3:04 727 - My all-time favorite airliner! 😍 3:17 DC-8 with newer engines! 😲 4:05 DC-9 looks heavy 😟 4:26 Dirty tail section - time for a wash 🤨 4:42 DC-8 streeeeetch 😮 4:52 So much condensation! 😵
The days when Delta had a hub in DFW. Whoever taped this did an excellent job! Thanks.

This video feels like yesterday to me than being 21 years ago, despite of how much the video quality difference between 2001 & 2022 or in the next 20-50 years.
yes and furthermore those 3 airlines employ mostly European, Australian and American pilots... all guys you see in our series with other airlines anyway... in fact some of the pilots we've filmed before are flying for those 3 airlines... so you really wouldn't get anything different other than perhaps the call sign :)
TANAY DEBNATH. @0:34 - IMHO - The best DL livery next to the widget livery @1:06 - God I miss those birds. Had the privilege to work on them. Those birds were beautiful. @2:14 - Anyone know why BA stopped painting their aircraft’s with those special designs? @4:47 - Damn I wish I had the chance to fly on those birds before they stopped using them for pax service.
Thanks for posting this video and your awesome work. I am just curious if all these videos were recorded in early 2000/late 90's, then why wait all these years to release them, or is your work complied from fellow aviation enthusiasts around the world, either way keep it coming, keep up the good work.
Hey whatever it is....I say any opportunity you get to film, do it! :-) Eitherway keep up the good work...I am glad someone is doing this....but in terms of pilots, have to say Air Canada pilots rock! And no I am not Canadian....just another pilot flying for US Express :)
Must have been fun to see all that variety. Everything that comes out is a 737 or an A321 now. Very dull. And when the Mad Dogs are gone, that's it. At least the cargo airlines are keeping it somewhat interesting.
I wish aviation still had aircraft like this (L-1011, DC-9, 732, MD-11, DC-10, 741, 742 etc.)in service with major airlines
Same here!
Well, those planes are old
@@bronxx4817idc if their old
@@bronxx4817some planes aren’t and are already retired
*sniff* dude this brings me memories *sniff* of the DC-9-30s and the DC-8s And the MD-11 Passengers *sniff*
except the MD-11 sucked
You probably weren’t alive back then
And I wasn’t either
lovely to see Sabena They were great to fly with .Some terrific footage here .I really like
I love how there's usually at least one National Airlines 757 that creeps up in each of these retro videos haha
I remember when I was about eighteen. My mom went to the conference for the Autism Society of America in March of 2001. She stayed at the Hyatt Regency DFW Airport in Dallas, Texas. I think she went there on spring break.
so much diversity before, now it's all American Airlines lol
houstonekid well remember American Airlines took over a lot of those airlines
Today, as much international diversity of flights as Houston Bush...daily flights from BA, Korean, Qantas, Emirates and many more including global cargo flights.
@@Thunderdog73 yeah but that's only like 10% the rest is american
So you probably have the data to back up your 10%, because you wouldn’t just throw a percentage onto the impressive internet without facts, would you?
And twin jets.

that National Airlines livery looks stunning on the gorgeous 757!

JustPlanes SHOW MORE AA I LUVS IT
JustPlanes ,
Awesome video. Love seeing the airlines thats no longer in business.
And all the dc-8s, and 737-200s.
@Ian Jancoski Can’t forget the boeing 747 classics..
No more 757 or 767 these days either
DFW was very much different from what it is now, great video 😀

Ik but Air Tran merged with Southwest Airlines
I love the MD-11!
Back when jumbos where common site at DFW

The fact that just one event changed how we view and fly aircraft’s is just crazy
Excellent Video - Brings back memories!
Yes they were... we have 3 Sabena aircraft on this video...
OO-SFP in old livery and OO-SFP & OO-SFU in new livery.
I remember sabena in dallas
I smiled when I saw Sun Country. My first flight was to Orlando on a Sun Country DC-10.
Sad to see that most of these Airlines are no longer around.
Tristar. What a plane.
Watch the MD-11 at 5:01 You can clearly see the wing let go of the air as the spoilers come up. Pretty darn cool!
yes and furthermore those 3 airlines employ mostly European, Australian and American pilots... all guys you see in our series with other airlines anyway... in fact some of the pilots we've filmed before are flying for those 3 airlines... so you really wouldn't get anything different other than perhaps the call sign :)
Son.... after 2001 American Airlines won the war and all the TWA D.C.-10's and Delta L-1011's all failed
Thank you
Wow, 737-200's
I'm guessing that blank 747 at 0:22 must have been a delivery for an airline?
Like the 727 they should have never gotten rid of the L1011s.
nice to see those TWA birds!
I can remember seeing the md 11 AA as a 1 year old on my way to Chicago airport from DFW
Filmed in 2001 not long before 9/11 and includes 1 of the planes involved in 9/11.
JustPlanes THATS CRAZY
Had to have been the AA 757 taxiing at 2:47 in the video?
I was never an MD 11 fan. However, I do like the DFW Jet plane action.
The Northwest DC-9 must have been heavy. Awesome job not striking the tail that was close. lol
This is a great video, if only we saw airlines like TWA anymore... but it's impressive how you make a DFW video and include almost no AA airplanes.
Yes there is... 727, 757, 767, 777, MD80, MD11, Fk28.... but most of that is still around today so not really memories...

N334AA... on the Dallas video, not on this trailer though...
There were dc-10s flying in 2001? 😍
Northwest retired their DC-10s around 2006 or 2007
I wish there were more 767-200s now like there was back then!
AirTran dc-9 at 1:00 had been flying since 1968.
great video ;-)

Those airlines would never allow us to come in with our cameras...a Qatar 777 cockpit is exactly the same as an Air Canada 777 cockpit by the way ;)
Its got that 2001 look
Ohh continental classic 737

Was this after or before the 9/11?
Before.
I hope there's more American footage in the full video, seeing as they're the hometown player at DFW.
This had to be before September of that year..... The curtains came down on the airline industry... SMH
AeroMexico!!
Cool
Was SABENA regular to DFW ?!
SAAABEEENNNAAAAAA
Wow, so much diversity, so many wonderful schemes....all gone.. :-(
tanay.i miss old americanairlines and boein g 737 .200 model my childhood times.memories left.
Ah gotcha!
Which aircraft and at what point in the video? Thanks
Airline liveries was so much better in 2001
3:17 it’s sad to see emery worldwide in this vid because they were grounded the same year
Yes very sad
nice
Is that hail falling at 4:57
Tinha que pousar em Cuiabá aeroporto marechal Rondon internacional Brasil e são Paulo guarulhos Brasília vôo de cruzeiro
Filmed pre 9/11?
sbentjies Seems post because it's very abandoned looking
hey hey TWA how many flights did u cancel today
It’s 2001, but seems 1981: lot of Dc9, Dc8, B737-200, ....
So many of these companies gone.
Makes sense....thanks....you should see to it to get a Middle Eastern Carrier such as Qatar, Emirates, or Etihad..
hahaha thanks....did not "know" that....then why make all the different airlines if its all the same equipment ;-)
4:34 what airline is that?
If you mean the DC-8 its A.T.I.
Nice video but seriously this is fucking dallas where is all the American Airlines planes you see like 2
0:20 is that one of those prisoner planes or something? It's literally just a PLAIN (no pun intended) WHITE 747.
Some charter or cargo airlines do that.
jr132 I knew that lol. But prisoner planes are white too so I didn’t know
in 2:36 which airplane is this ?
DC-8
heyy
vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv
who is the white 747
It's probably a corporate aircraft
o ok thanks
DC 8
Texeran. Tarik. Myfitija. Posalat
2001 was the golden age of aviati- ok not exactly
Not everything is really about 9/11
Is there really a need for this kind of language ;)
9/11 changed everything.
Thank you for not focusing on the Hitler youth, American, there are other airlines in the world.
American Airlines plane at end involved in 9/11?
That's a DC-10. The AA planes involved in 9/11 were 767s and 757s, respectively.
The American aircraft at the end of the video was an MD-11.
